I get their phở every week and it’s by far one of the cheapest and better quality bowls of phở I’ve had here in Washington! They only have one size but it always fills me up!

Not a super fantastic place… Just reading the menu I was skeptical about how good the food would be. There was SO many spelling errors. We went at a time where their no one in the restaurant but us, and ordered a few appetizers and only got 2 of the things we ordered. Not impressed!

I have eaten at this restaurant throughout the years. The food is mostly consistent. It’s not amazing and it’s not terrible. My 1 star rating really comes from the service, or lack their of, actually. In the past, it’s been mediocre. The daughter of the family was usually waiting tables, and was attentive enough. The past two times I’ve gone in, it’s been majorly lacking. 3 months ago i went in mid-afternoon on a weekday. I was one of two customers in the restaurant. I waited TWENTY minutes after sitting down and getting my menu before I got up and left. The young man went into the restroom after he sat me, and the owner was outside. No one ever came to get my order, and I left. I went in this evening to give Jimmy’s one more chance. The family was eating dinner when I got there(not a big deal to me! They have to eat), there was a teenage boy sleeping on one of the booths in the restaurants, and there were very loud conversations including yelling happening between the owner and other guests they had in the restaurant. After I received my food, they did not come and check on me, did not refill my water, did not see that everything was correct. I’m truly disappointed after being a patron for many years, I will not be back.

Just finished lunch food was excellent as always but the service was really awful the young man took forever to come get our order, did not inform my friends that they do not carry plum sauce and just did not bring any without explanation, he never refilled our water, and he apparently could not make change even when I told him how to do it. Very disappointed in the service today and not sure I will go back as there are numerous Thai restaurants in the area. Jimmy you need to get better help.

It brings me sadness to see one of my favorite dives receive so many bad reviews. Jimmy’s other restaurant has closed, now, so have been hoping and hoping this shop doesn’t go the way of it’s twin. The key to truly enjoying Jimmy’s is to keep an open mind and palate. As I mentioned in my original review the same dish ordered may have slightly different vegetables. Knowing this there are some lousy reviews that I agree with — like the ketchup-y Pad Thai. Eek. Not one of my favorite’s at Jimmy’s. I have been all over and haven’t found anyone who can make Singapore Noodles and Pineapple Pork Fried Rice like Jimmy’s wife. As a matter of fact I crave them when I’m on the road. Jimmy’s isn’t a fancy place; as a matter of fact I usually order take out then return home to curl up on my sofa with a big container and chopsticks to watch my favorite movies. I hope you don’t miss out on giving this little place a try and if you do go do so without expectations of what your dish should be like and just eat and savor the amazing flavors — they have them down to a science. :)

Food was great as always. Compliments to the staff. A tour bus full of student athletes came in. Less than 10 minutes all were served, no mistakes and they were back on the road. You guys are great…

I ordered the Pad Thai, egg rolls, and Thai ice tea. The Pad Thai was very orange which is in indication that I was about to eat a ketchup-based Pad Thai. I hate ketchup-based Pad Thai. The good thing is that it wasn’t the worse Ketchup-based Pad Thai. I would give it a 3 out of 10. The Thai Ice Tea was also very orange.(I hope the didn’t put Ketchup in it too). It had a very gross taste and was the worse Thai Ice Tea I have tasted. The egg rolls were pretty good and orange inside. I’d give them a 5 out of 10. While eating, I noted a colony of little black sugar ants all over the floor. Closer inspection, I noticed food all over the floor under the table. Pretty gross sight! There is also a huge hole in ceiling by restrooms from what appears to be from a water leak. I will not be going there again.

I’m not a world expert on Vietnamese sandwiches, but the tofu sandwiches I get here are the best I’ve ever had. Great rolls, lots of veggies, totally yummy. I haven’t ever gotten anything else here because I just stop in for a sandwich to go while doing errands. My only question is, why does Unilocal think I’m from Whistler BC?

our favorite place for thai food in Olympia. I’ve tried almost everything on the meni but my go to is the pork chow mein, thai fried rice with prawns and/pinapple fried rice. The owners/employees are always nice and will remember you. Never dissapoints!

Went there Friday night with friends. I ordered the Tom Yum Gai. It was a funny orange color and not very authentic. My friend had Phat Thai and it was neon orange. Another ordered green curry. Again it was a terrible fluorescent green color. This should have been an indicator to not eat it. I should have heeded that gut feeling. I ended up with food poisoning. My recommendation. Drive down to Sleater Kinney road for the Thai food place next to fred Meyers. Much better food and I have never ended up sick from eating there.(I only gave it one star because it wouldn’t let me post otherwise)

I like Jimmy’s. Whenever I’m in the vicinity I stop for some good and dependable Asian food. This time I had the Lemon Grass Vegetable Stir Fry. Loaded with fresh(seasonal) vegetables I thought it was delicious. The service is always helpful and very little wait. I noticed a lot of foot traffic for take-outs. Seems to be a popular place for workers eating at their desks. But I look forward to my next visit.

My partner and I come here/order out from here several times a month. Their fried rice is amazing. My girl orders their Tom ka gai soup and is so good too. My favorite thing to order is the coconut chicken. Enough for 2 meals alone. This place is great. Always fresh, how, and good. Service is great too.

Well I just moved to the west coast from the mid west; Missouri to be more specific. there, there’s more restaurants than people. I was VERY surprised that on a very un-busy Sunday night and yet my take out food«left a lot on the table». Tasteless, uninspiring and $ 10 Pad Thai meal that an ousted contestant from Masterchef Junior-Tanzania edition would have more presentation, complexity and taste. Not to mention that my $ 40 bill for two still had space at the top of my bag to triple tie the knot. What? Last I knew, Chinese is full of flavor. Even a bit over the top. Moreover, usually comes with a double bonus of an abundance of food. Not the case here. A couple of TV dinners and mico-waved shrimp for my honey and I and would have kept a $ 20 spot in my pocket. Off to find the best Chinese in Lacey or Olympia… The Saga continues…

When I was in college, a professor once said — and I’m sure it is a cliché now but at the time, that’s the first I’ve heard of it – «GOD is in the details.» Like every logical person would, the first thing I picked up and perused through when I sat down at this restaurant was the menu. One item read, «in a pranut sauce.» Hmmm… I wonder what a pranut sauce is. Then I read, choice of meat: «beef, chicken or pord.» It took me less than 30 seconds to figure out these were but two of SEVERAL typos and that NOBODY has proof-read this menu! I even jokingly asked the waiter what’s a pranut and she just gave me a knowing smile that tells me I’m not the first one who pointed«these» out. This seems to be mean but I was taught that if you want to be taken seriously and professionally, you have to present yourself seriously and professionally. We ended up ordering wonton soup, some sort of «vermicelli» soup and an order of fried rice with sweet pord sausage in it. First one delivered was the Wonton Soup — it was SALTY! It was so salty that I had to pour HALF of my glass of water to make the thing edible! :(The Vermicelli soup was average. The fried rice was SWEET — and I mean it tasted like they put brown sugar in the rice. This was the FIRST time I ever tasted fired rice that is sweet! I did not like it. :( I think the menu was an indication that I should have just gotten up from my seat and proceeded to Phở Vy where I ORIGINALLY wanted to have dinner to begin with. On the other hand, now I know where NOT to get some Chinese food in Olympia. Jimmy Restaurant crossed out of the list. ‘Been there. ‘Tried it. ‘NOT coming back.

We went to the restaurant around 7:30 on Saturday and were told that they take only TOGO orders after 7:30. The restaurant timing show they are open till 9:00. What is the logic of keeping the restaurant open till 9:00 and not serving the food.

I’ve had better phad thai, and I find the orange color off-putting. But, I love their fried rice, and Singapore noodles. I usually order to-go on my way home, mid-afteroon, so I have the place to myself, and I can hear the wok sizzling, so I know my food is being made fresh. Also, I just tried their almond chicken, and it is the best I’ve ever had.

Disappointed that the pineapple fried rice wasn’t served in a pineapple as advertised and the dish was made with canned pineapples. The mango salad was okay. Good for a quick and filling lunch.

Decent, quick, inexpensive, friendly lunch joint… I always have two lunches for the price of one. The food is quite bright in color… as in I have never had such intensely ORANGE phad Thai? I like it bit it is really orange… the green curry is bright green… not naturally green… it is mostly coconut milk lacks depth… but again it is «lunch» and a good hardy lunch! I love the owner but somedays wish he had another set of hands poor guy!

Oh Jimmy’s… You are by which I set the standard to all Green Curries to. I have no idea how you make it so sweet and such a neon green color compared to every other Green Curry I’ve ever had along the I-5 corridor, but its delicious, and its my favorite. Everyone I have taken to you says they’ve had better Thai Food here, or «the best Thai Food» there, and make it sound like they are the experts in Thai food– but Jimmy’s…sweet Jimmy’s…I will always love eating your Green Curry no matter what anyone says. …and when you make it 10-stars spicy, its the best.
