A group of nice guys here — managers are knowledgable and do a good job of mentoring the younger bunch that work under them (I people watch and it was fun watching their dynamics). I feel like I can trust their judgment and while I am one of those sound-​effect communicators with a mechanic, I don’t feel the need to haul in my dad so that I don’t get ripped off. There was one instance where someone put it in the wrong size tube, but when I brought it back, they took care of it without putting me under the interrogation lights. No one is perfect so how you address your mistakes means far more to me than many things — especially with costly items.

When I had a minor problem with my car, burnt out headlights, I was able to get it fixed quickly while they at the same time showed me how to do it myself in the future. Overall a quality experience, I would definitely visit them again.

Recently has the guys at Midas work on my car. It was in really bad shape (cooling issues, broken starter, and general wiring issues) and they managed to pull it all together. I cannot speak highly enough of these guys and the skill level that is in this shop. They’re also very good at customer service. I don’t think I called one time and didn’t get an answer.
Very efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great integrity, service, and prices. Absolutely no sketchy up-​sells that I’ve encountered yet. I know cars and am just too lazy to change my own oil so I always come to them (actually cheaper here than doing it myself!) Everything that they mention potentially needing repair/​replacement has always been legitimate. I’m unaware of their more in depth diagnostic abilities, but from my view it’s a great place for people who may have little knowledge of their vehicle and do not want to be concerned about being taken advantage of due to that.

Overall good experience. More money than I had hoped to pay but that is how it goes.

I have an ’86 Buick Century that presented Olympia Midas with several mysteries after an initial repair. They were willing to have my car towed from Shelton to Olympia to determine the problem, which was a defective part they had received. They tested and tested the car again to make sure it would continue running. And when an old corroded wire slipped off the following day after I received the car back, they came out to my workplace and got it running again — no charge. Thanks to Chuck, John and their mechanic. Great place to do business.

I went in for an oil change and some basic checkups since i’m going to drive down to LA in a week. The work that I requested had been down well, and they actually did some extra checkup for me as well. Oh and, everything was done within the time he told me.
Also the service manager, Chuck, who’s at the front desk, he’s pretty talkative and quite interesting to have a conversation with.
Furthermore, you just can’t beat the price. with the coupon on their website, it costs only $ 20 dollars for oil change and free tire rotation stuff, after tax it brings up the price to roughly $ 25 bucks but comparing to all the other auto shop around, this is the best deal you can get with quality work.
In conclusion, I totally recommend people in the Olympia area go there to support their business because of the cheap price and the quality work that they do.

My car started making a rather mysterious noise, and knowing little to nothing about cars I took it in to Midas first thing in the morning to have some more knowledgeable folks take a look. I was greeted when I walked in at 9am by a very friendly gentleman who immediately said, «Well, let’s take a look!» He wasn’t condescending or rude, and very eager to help me feel more at ease about my current car dilemma.
The gentleman who took my car around the block for a spin reported that he wasn’t hearing the noise, but instead of making me feel like I was delusional, or just being a worrisome bother, he decided they’d put it on the lift and take a look underneath. Sure enough, my brake pads were wearing (just barely which is why he couldn’t hear it) and discovered that there were some other leaks and such underneath.
The people at Midas are patient and understanding. They took me to see my car and were great about explaining which parts do what, and what they should look like.
I’m really impressed!

Paid for a new stock muffler got an aftermarker rice burner muffler and my old rusty pipes. Wont take responsibility!

Bad Bad people.
They kept me waiting for hours to tell me everything is wrong with my car and half the parts need to be changed. The water pump, some valves, some belt, heater core and what not. Why? The heater does not blow warm air. I was quoted a cost of $ 2,000 with the words– «I can’t guarantee your heater will work even after you get all this work done. I know I need to tell you this before I start working on your car.»
Why do you even bother giving me the quote if you think it won’t fix the problem??? On asking the guy on the counter why the cost was this high just to fix the hot air he said its an Audi, you’ll obviously have to pay more. Look at that. It’s a chevy. To fix the heater on that car it costs $ 150.
I can understand Audi parts cost more and probably the labor might be a little more. But what he said was ridiculous. Moreover he quoted me a price of 900 $ to for a new water pump. On Amazon its under 100 $ (Bosch).
They are out to rip you. Avoid it like the plague.
