A most excellent group of people. Everyone from the sales staff to the people making jewelry was super nice and very informative. I needed some watch repair done but, while they were evaluating the repair, I looked around and found two different, very unique pair of earrings to purchase. They will make what ever you design or design something for you. This is a very nice place to shop and I had no idea it was right in the heart of Olympia. I will definitely be back to visit and find something else very special.

I went to Precious Metalsmith on a recommendation from another business for sizing and joining of my wedding set. I showed up on a day that they were closed but they let me in and took my order regardless. Chris helped me to choose the right size. Just two days later, they called me and my ring was ready for pickup! All said and done, the work looks great and fits my finger perfectly, for less than the box jewelry stores were going to charge me, and with great service. Fast, friendly & helpful, beautiful work. I love this place.

In three interchanges with this sales team, I came away very turned off by blatant efforts to get customers to overspend. In one incident, I brought fiancé to see mens wedding ring I’d admired there. Clerk 1 is showing us the ring, made of so-called Damascus steel, when Clerk 2 interrupts out of nowhere with no hello, no preamble, to tell us we don’t want to buy that ring. We want to buy a much more expensive platinum ring, he says, so that it’ll be worth more to those who inherit it after we’re dead.

My experience was fantastic with Precious Metalsmith. Knowledgable, helpful staff(I worked with Mikah(sp?)) and a beautiful, perfectly sized ring done quickly. We went on the recommendation from a friend and they did not disappoint. Proof positive that keeping it local doesn’t mean sacrificing quality. I’d go back.

I recently had two large stones set and ask for the stones by 3÷15÷11. I called two weeks before the 15th to see how it was going. They hadn’t started but the would call me around the 7th to come in and OK the initial mold. No call. I called on the 14th, not ready, ok but I needed by 3⁄17 no matter what. Picked up on 3/16, no apologies, no nothing and when you look through the stone, on the side you can see the unfinished silver marks. I have other concerns with uniformity of both rings but no way am I going back. The total cost was under $ 500 but I have other stones I need silver settings for so they aren’t getting my business again.
