We used George again. My review from 7 years ago still holds true. George is the epitome of consistency. His inspection and report, as well as follow up are thorough and professional. Thanks again George!

George was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to show me some of the issues he found within the home during the inspection. When he was finished, we discussed all of the concerns/​issues and he made sure I understood all aspects of the report. I had the finished report within an hour of leaving! I will recommend Sound Choice to anyone I know in need of home inspection services.

Very impressed with George! He explained everything he was doing and didn’t mind when I followed him around the house asking questions. He found a problem behind the electrical panel that he thought was a much bigger issue and suggested the seller open up the wall and look for the cause. He was right and it was a much bigger issue! I don’t believe other inspectors would have found this. George is kind, courteous, and professional. We received our inspection back the same day! George also squeezed us in for a the reinspection with short notice when we were in a time crunch. I would highly recommend George. Very professional!

We just had our potential new home inspected by George at Sound Choice, and we were impressed! George did a thorough inspection, explaining the different systems and structures that comprised the house. That same day, we received a detailed and photographed explanation of the house’s needs. The nicest touch was the table, chairs, and snack basket he set up for us while reviewing photographs. I highly recommend this company for its professionalism, efficiency, and value. I think all home owners should get an inspection by George to just see how their home’s safety is faring!

My wife and I were referred to George through the knowledgeable real estate agent we are working with. As first time home buyers, we weren’t too sure what the inspection process would be like, but George made the whole experience easy and informative.
George provided us with thorough notes and pictures of all areas of concern, and a DVD with our sewer scope footage, which was well worth the cost. He went over each area of the inspection with us in terms that we could understand and gave us helpful suggestions about how to prioritize the different issues that need to be taken care of.
What was really great about this process was that George was cool with us tagging along as he conducted the inspection and answered our many questions about how everything in the house worked. From the water heater and furnace, to attic ventilation and electrical systems, George was patient with us and really helped us learn a lot about the basics of taking care of a house.
All in all, we were really pleased with the experience. George is punctual, friendly, and seems to really enjoy his work. He went the extra mile to make sure we understood what was going on and what to do about it. We’d happily recommend him to anyone that needs an inspection.

Such a disappointment! George seemed like a nice guy, but 2 years after buying my house and having George inspect it, I found out that only half the house has a concrete foundation and half has the original post-​and-​beam foundation. (It’s an older home.) I had a structural engineer and three different contractors look at it and all of them told me that not only is it post and beam, but some of the beams are rotten. I called George and discussed it and he said the fact that half was post and beam should have been «self-​evident» to me during the inspection. I have since talked with and shown my copy of the inspection report to my real estate agent who was with me during the inspection, to the structural engineer I hired to look at the existing foundation, to all three contractors who bid on the work, and to various friends. Every single one of those people said that they would not have known that half the house had a post and beam foundation based on that inspection report. If I ever move or buy another house in the Olympia area, or if a friend asked for a recommendation, I’m afraid I could not recommend George after my experience.
