As good as it gets in the Olympia area. Well worth the drive from downtown. Fun location, I like parking and watching birds in the fields behind the bus while I eat my tacos. Location is also great for grabbing a bite on the way from Olympia to Seattle. Try their flagship carnitas tacos, the best. Tacos are cheapest from 11a-2p each day.

I’ve been here once. I actually called in my order and was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there in 20 minutes they did not even start making my food. Waited another at least 20 minutes. 40 min is not great if you’re busy and need a quick lunch. I ordered the carne asada plate and it was meh. Absolutely nothing to write home about. There was nothing memorable on the plate and this is one of their more expensive dishes. Fail. Given that the place does not offer convenient seating, quick food preparation or flavorful food, I don’t think I’ll go here again. Based on the one dish I’ve tried and my overall experience, I’d rate this place 2 stars but I’m rating it 3 stars because I’m giving them a benefit of a doubt. After all there’re a lot of other dishes on the menu that I haven’t tried.

The carnitas were amazing! I saw a few reviews on Unilocal and it said to eat on the bus. The first time we drove by we were like NOWAY but then decided to give it a try. So YES you should eat on the bus. But if you don’t have time for that at least eat there. You will be glad you did.

Lived in Olympia for over a year and I swear I ate here at least once a week. Best tacos ever! My husband always got the ham torta. Breakfast burrito is great too. If you’re stopping in the Olympia/Lacey area this is a must go place. Very cheap too!

My favorite taco spot in Oly! Authentic, fair priced and delicious. I think the carnitas taco is their flagship. The asada is very good but not the most amazing that I’ve had, still nothing to complain about. I think the salsa is good as well. It isn’t the most flavorful but adds a nice roasted chili spice. As a lover of quality Mexican street food I highly recommend giving it a shot!

I’m addicted to their tacos, I dang near come in here everyday. Awesome spot, glad I got to experience these authentic tacos. Once again, bomb tacos. I recommend eating them fresh hot!

As someone has already said this before this street food is capturing exactly what I remember from living in Socal. I have no bad intentions in saying this, but Olympia/Thurston County area is lacking in the street food department. This place I just discovered yesterday and my mind is blown. I had ‘carnitas’(pork tacos) and it was spot on. I’ll be patronizing this place often. Very appreciative they exist. My stomping grounds in my early 20’s was Tijuana and this place is comparable to the street food there.

Best tacos/burritos I have found in Washington State so far. Being from Los Angeles, it’s nice to find some where that makes it just like home! It’s a bit hard to find but the bus does have indoor seating which is neat. Great for take out too. Definitely coming back!

Unfortunately I am updating my review. They used to be soooo good, but the last two times I came, the shells were stale and from the previous day and so was the meat. I’m paying for fresh food, bot leftovers. Please read this and other reviews and change :)

Amazing burritos! It’s the closest I’ve had to Mexican food in California. The price is perfect for how big it is. They close a little early so can’t go for a late dinner.

I stumbled on this place a few years ago and I’m glad I did. There isn’t many(good) Mexican food options in this area. Sure if I want a good margarita I’ll head to the Mayan, but if I want some inexpensive, well-made California style tacos I’ll head here. Try the massive burrito, or treat yourself to a Torta. It’s easy to overlook this place, as it’s just an old dilapidated bus, but you’ll be happy that you stopped by.

My husband and I stopped by this taco bus last weekend on our way through. We were barely welcomed or spoken to… they took our order like robots. When we tried to order, they kept telling us they were out of the things we were ordering, so I got what I could, not what I wanted. I think its neat that you can enter the bus while you wait and stay and eat if you’d like. There is even a small tv on board. When we got our food, it smelled delicious :) It was very flavorful, but it was obvious certain elements weren’t fresh. Also, we paid an extra dollar per taco/burrito to add avacado on… they skimped us bad. I guess thats one way for them to make money, because we looked and found tiny shreds of it, lol. I will not be going back.

Yum! Very fresh. I tried the tacos, I got one of each(pork was my favorite). I also tried some of my daughter’s chicken quesadilla(the quesadilla is giant!) Everything was very good. I didn’t give it 5 stars because we waited a good while for our food and there isn’t much seating. I will definitely stop in the next time I ride by but I will try to call ahead!

This was a total find. Walked in the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge and stopped at the nearby farm stand for some veggies before heading back to Seattle. We wandered over to check this place out and decided to try a few tacos. How I managed to find an abandoned bus in the middle of W Washington that serves the most authentic street tacos I have had since being in Mexico City is beyond me, but I will be back. Oh yes.

We stopped here after walking the Nisqually reserve across the hwy. the guide recommended it. Excellent food for the price. Burritos were under $ 5 and big. We will stop here again!

I’m torn between a 3 and 4 stars. The meats are flavorful and ingredients are fresh. They are better than ok, but not quite good as some other places in town, as another reviewer pointed out. California Taco trucks have better rice and salsa. Ramirez has better torta that uses a flat bread pocket instead of the thick roll they have here. Still, Tacos la Fuente have better prices and more variety of refreshment. How often do you get to enjoy tasty tacos inside a stranded bus? It looks a piece of junk on the outside, but the inside is clean. I felt like we walked through a time vortex. Being off I-5, this would’ve made a great rest stop for a road trip. The only problem is no bathroom.

Reminds me of home in SoCal so I’ve always held taco trucks in a special place in my heart and this place doesn’t disappoint. I would like to see a table for salsas and hot sauces though they might have it in the actual bus which I’ve never actually gone into despite coming here relatively often. I always get the same thing which is lengua tacos which can really only be found in these types of establishments which always made me dislike Mexican restaurants when compared to Mexican fast food or trucks. Highly recommend this place if you like Mexican food and don’t let the fact that the place is some broken down bus because those are always the best places to go.

This is, by far, the best food truck in Washington. The lengua burritos and tacos are amazing. You also can’t beat the price. I have tried about everything on the menu and it is all excellent. Each item is made hot and fresh. I look forward to every trip there.

I really love taco trucks. So I make it my goal to try as many as possible. I always get Carne Asada Tacos. Although this taco truck is closer to my house than my more preferred Oly area taco truck I would much rather drive to the other one. The meat has been a little drier than I would have liked each time I’ve gone there. I’ve also tried Adobada Tacos and experienced the same thing. Another thing important to me is the salsa. The salsa has heat but lacks in flavor. It’s some good heat but doesn’t bring flavor to my taco. The prices are good, 4 tacos for $ 5. Normal price for a taco truck. This place is good if I want a quick fix, but is not my new hot spot. Tacos aren’t bad don’t get me wrong. There are just other places I prefer. It’s just A-OK for me.
