Garret Rodriguez, owner of The Project Specialist, was hired as a contractor to build a deck and extension to our house in Lacey. It was a 2-​week project. He was paid $ 4,500 for materials and labor to start. This was half our budget and now we can’t finish to get our home refinanced. Now, 5 weeks later, he has seldom showed-​up to work, has done little work, and refuses to return calls and texts. He has multiple customer complaints and fines through L&I, his license is suspended and he has no insurance or bond. He has no intent of working the project or returning the cash. He is an unethical con-​artist, and will defraud you if you hire him. He seems pleasant, competent and genuine at first, but this is only a front to hide his real intent – to take your money and put it in his pocket. He is dishonest and is out to rip you off. Do not hire him or his company for any project, or you will be scammed. He should be arrested and jailed for the number of people and amounts of money he has ripped-​off.
