We go for the live music nights, but having an array of wines, ales, ciders, and delicious nibbles doesn’t hurt either! The staff is warm and friendly, and the environment is eclectic and welcoming.

The food here tastes great! But it’s waaaaay overpriced! I ordered the lemon tahini salad with quinoa for $ 9.25, it came on a plate with the tiniest bit of salad, a few bits of tomato, and a measly spreading of quinoa on the top. It was basically a tiny side salad just spread out on a dinner plate. I love the culture here in Olympia but would it hurt if people actually showered once in a while? The smell of that place creeps me out a little bit. Makes it hard to enjoy eating when it smells like body odor. Love the coffee and pastries though :)

I had a lovely salad here on a Sunday morning. The menu items are simple, fresh and delicious. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. Truly a gem and I shall return :) There is a large selection a fair trade items in the adjacent store; a ton of unique gifts and literature. I got some delicious milk chocolate and a bottle of high-quality African black soap. Love it!

This place was a hoot. Loved it. The people are laid back the atmosphere is relaxed. The day we went in they had local artist playing older folk music. Loved the scene and the food was great. I like the shop with local wears. Will definitely go back

Nice unique products at the store side. The café is a great place for meetings. Also a great view of the Capitol building and park, and very clean restrooms.

Love this place! Everything is delicious. It may take a few minutes, but never a bad meal. The carrot ginger soup is incredible.

Pretty good and down to earth, but unfortunately I found a hair in my enchilada and even one in the Italian soda I ordered

This place was nothing short of amazing! Great food at a great price in a great environment. Every employee I spoke with was very helpful and easy to get along with. Their smoked salmon panini is a must try!

Every time we eat at Traditions, we wonder why we don’t eat there more often! Not only is the food of the highest quality, the atmosphere is very friendly. Plus, we know everything is fixed to the very highest standards. Prices are fair, or inexpensive. I learn about music, current events, and other issues that are of interest to me whenever I am there. This place is a «must go to» place to experience Olympia Washington.

A local, fair trade gift shop full of gifts ranging from clothing, home décor, jewelry to other great things! All fair trade supporting the people who hand make the items with fair wages and practices. Love supporting this store. The owners are always so pleasant and kind. My mom bought me earrings from here as a gift one year and was told if I didn’t like them I could exchange. Easy going atmosphere, with a café attached often supporting local music and yummy food.

My two friends and I met here to have lunch and discuss our latest writing efforts. We were here for two hours and no one ever bothered us or gave us that«eat it and beat it» glare. Some cool peeps work here! I had the smoked salmon salad and it was great. It was really good dry smoked salmon – not the wet kind – which made me happy. Asked them to sub brown rice for the goat cheese and they did it, no prob. The menu said the salad was gluten-free but I’m pretty sure the toasted bread served with it was not. Just beware if you are truly allergic or intolerant of gluten.

Hemp milk chai latte? Yes please! There were a limited amount of vegan breakfast options, but I did get a black bean enchilada that was pretty good. It wasn’t very flavorful but there’s a sauce bar that spices it up a bit. Great view of the Capitol from the restaurant. My friend got the salmon quiche and gave it a 5⁄5 stars

I am not sure how the food is I am rating the shop. So they have a large collection of goods for the home, fashion and décor that is hard to find anywhere else and they have it all in one store. I bought a purse I love it! The clothing is amazing, great prices and selection. I want to return for home décor goodies! If you need a sage stick they have it, purses, wall hangings, skirts, dishes, pillows, candles, etc. I love the ambiance and the great service!

It seems impossible. Cheap prices, good healthy food, ethical business practices, fast friendly service. And yet, Traditions offers all of these things. They also feature live acts in an intimate setting at a picturesque location with a beautiful view of Capitol Lake.

The store Great place to get all your gift shopping as well as life shopping(clothes, house goods, etc.). Best selection I’ve ever seen of cooperative games for kids. The café If you’ve got extra time, the meals at the café are really delicious and just-right portions. If you’re in a hurry stick to the grab ‘n go fare. Revolving selection of local ice cream with unusual(and yummy) flavors.

I loved the cozy ambiance and the salmon quiche was delish. The staff is very friendly. I Will definitely be back to check out a concert. The menu is fairly limited but most items are organic/vegan. Happy to give my business to a locally owned restaurant.

You cannot go wrong in a place like this. Whether you are shopping for a special item for someone, to heading in to their café for a bite. They’ve got no guilt food and no guilt gifts. The prices are decent and there is a good sized variety of items to choose from. They’ve got your Ethical sneakers(which look like keds). They are child labor free(cannot believe we even have to worry about that), sustainable, and fair trade is a given of course. That’s one example of the items they carry. There are denim pants made in the US, t shirts, skirts, jewelry, musical instruments, hats, decorative items for your home etc. The food in the restaurant is very down home delicious. I got their tahini lemon brown rice salad and a bowl of their dahl soup. Truly enjoyed the flavors and the wholesome and hearty food. You cannot have too many of these shops. They are very important and do a lot of good. It’s not just a glut of shopping but you are contributing your dollars to various causes and needs. My favorite type of shopping.
