Glad i found this spot! Premade sammies, fast service and a lot less expensive than most of your on mountIn options. Was going to the crappy starbucks, till i found out about this place. New savior of. Spot to chill and comfy chairs too.

Breakfast sandwich + coffee for $ 5…can’t beat that just before skiing. Staff was very friendly.

You can’t go wrong with a sandwich from Dave’s. It is probably the most affordable spot to eat at the resort. Staff is very friendly and I really appreciate that they do the bag lunches for the Ski Team kids. The line moves fast and they have tropical Skittles!

Dave’s Deli is the last affordable place to get food in Squaw Village. Grew up eating lunch here(and Wildflour downstairs) and it’s exactly the same today as it was 15 years ago… except less seating, so that doesn’t make sense. Anyway, I hope they’re still around 15 years from now, but at the rate corporate Squaw is kicking out the locally-owned businesses, I doubt that will be the case. #keepsquawpurple

This is my favorite place to get lunch at Squaw. The food is actually really delicious and there is a big variety — unlike most of the cafeteria places on the mountain. They have sandwiches, cheese, fruit, sausage, cookies, foccacia, you name it. The line can be a little scary, but it’s worth it. This place is run by a separate private group of individuals(has been for I think over a decade) so it just feels a lot homier.

Dave’s is a great local deli, but frankly what I like is not their sandwiches but just grabbing a wedge of cheese and salami or a cookie to eat on the lifts on those days where you don’t want to stop skiing. Also handy if your skis are holding your place in the KT line on a powder day. You can pop over for some breakfast snacks.

IF you are planning a hike in the summertime up to the top(or one of the lakes) I highly recommend stopping off at Dave’s for some grub and fluids to take with you. I didn’t, and it almost ended my relationship with the woman that is now my wife. But that is another story. Dave’s is great little place to grab and go. Sandwiches will fill you up and keep you going for a while, plenty big. Prices are decent for the area, and daily specials help the budget.
