I was in Omaha a few months back looking for some hardware to use in my renovation of a brownstone in Brooklyn. These folks have a great selection of antique door knobs, doors, bathroom sinks, toilets, etc. They’re friendly and helpful.

My dad used to take me «junking» when I was a kid and this reminded me of how great those days were… the guys here are friendly and there are lots of warehouses to crawl thru and see the most amazing things that have come out of mansions, public buildings, private residences, and businesses in Omaha. Copper spiral staircases, old fashioned elevators, wood, grates, statuary, cornices, sinks, safes, bricks… you name it, they probably have yanked it out and have it there.
I saw a scythe I just had to have… and used it today to cut a path thru the high grass on my acreage (who needs the gym?)
