Abraham Heating & Air Conditioning

Our furnace died on New Year’s Eve 2014, we called Jim and he was very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly in helping us get a new furnace installed quickly. (We called 2 other furnace company’s on NYE and one was going to bill us $ 80 just to tell us we needed a new furnace, which we already knew.) On New Year’s Day Jim was at our house with furnace options & pricing. We had the new furnace installed on Jan. 2. I was very impressed with Abraham’s Heating & A/​c professionalism, knowledge, timeliness and fair price. When it was freezing outside Jim went out of his way to get our heat back up and running. I would not hesitate to call Abraham’s heating and air conditioning for any of your homes repairs or placements.

initially I was happy, Jim and crew explained what they were doing. I showed them where I wanted a return air and explained future plans /​floorplan and they were going to ensure there was enough return air.
I left for work and came home…
I was left with a wide open return and a grill not screwed on. no framing or metal to even screw it into and space wasn’t used so they had to come back and tape it up.
In addition there was some long metal piece there? not sure for what, multiple screws on the ground. Most these things are minor the biggest thing for me is after they installed the Hi-​Low system to get cold air from hallway into furnace so system could breath they didn’t install the ThermPan which basically get’s nailed to studs somehow but I have no clue. I called and was told over phone how to do it but still wasn’t sure even after talking with them; do I seal cavity do I leave air gap above or below, etc… I wanted them just to come out and finish the job and I really don’t know why they just didn’t finish it as I paid over $ 350 just for this part of the job for 1 supply and some grills but I guess they want $ 88 to install some thermopan. I almost want to call the BBB but I am just done dealing with contractors. there is another issue with a return grill for living room that I am getting answers for — another issue that was left unattended. I am so frustrated and feel taken advantage of. I called another contractor and they installed 3 returns that were hard-​wired into system not just Hi-​Low and a supply all for $ 300 and that included the framing work they didn’t leave that for me like these guys.
I would look elsewhere unless you want to have to do some of the work.
In the end Jim called and apologized. We both agreed there were some communication issues but I would recommend to contractors that have to leave something to home owner due to work schedule or whatever leave written instructions. That would have made all the difference and in the end a crew member did work with me via email and text so I now know what to do.

When our heater went out and it was 10 degrees outside, Jim came by right away. He worked quickly and was honest about our repair options. We paid a fair price for excellent service. I recommend Jim to anyone who needs HVAC work!

Every experience I’ve had with Jim over the past decade has been stellar. My first experience was to have my furnace repaired. He charged be $ 30 to realign my pilot light. I’d never paid less than $ 50 for any furnace work. My jaw dropped.
Since then I’ve had him install an air conditioner in one house and a furnace in another.
This guy and his team are the real deal for excellent service, solid workmanship and an absolutely honest price. Highly recommended.

Mr. Abraham came out on short notice on a winter day when my heater went out. Fixed the offending part and replaced another that he said was weakening. Efficient, friendly, reasonably priced. Very pleased.
