My dad and I caught word of this place Unilocaling from I-80, and after some befuddlement pulling into the back lot of a music conservatory, we saw the door, and our faith paid off. The vibe is chill and clean with a literary gist to the décor. There’s maybe 5 – 8 tables and plenty of seats, but the standout of this place is the menu. Tea, espresso, and coffee drinks, hot and cold, abound from around the world. They list their available beans by origin, flavor, and roasters, and our barista(who was amiable and interesting– sorry not to catch his name) was happy to answer any questions. My dad tried the Cortadito, a really delicious strong and sweet espresso drink, and I had the Kenya beans via Chemex pourover. Super crisp and clean texture with some rich caramel and chocolatey aromas to balance it out. Very well-executed, well-balanced beverages. Definitely worth the detour for us! If I lived nearby, this place would be in my regular rotation for sure.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in town. Everything from the coffee to cappuccinos are amazing. They play boardgames on Saturdays if you are into that. I highly recommend the Chemex coffee.

Cute little place. It is an unusual location but once you are inside it is lovely. The sizes tend to run a bit large, which is great! Definitely worth a try!

If it wasn’t for the Caffeine Crawl, I never would have stumbled across this little gem! Five stores for the drinks, atmosphere, and staff… but it’s getting four stars because of the location. The owner is super friendly and very passionate about coffee. Him and his wife own the shop and their menu is full of typical coffee drinks, but also includes fun creations reminiscent of their travels across the world. Ask about the Frosted Flakes latte! The dedication to coffee really shines through here… I loved it all. If you can find this place, totally check it out!

I do love this place. There’s a good chance I’ll someday enroll our baby in music lessons here just for an excuse to visit. Not just do they make amazing coffee drinks(some of the lost unique in town) but it’s a really homey place to spend some time. And isn’t that the true signified of a good coffee shop?

I had the chemex, it was okay. The atmosphere was cute – this coffee shop is part of the Omaha conservatory, so it’s pretty small and has an intimate feel. They had a great selection, and the barista was kind. I appreciated the different brewing options; I haven’t found many other places in Omaha that offer that kind of variety.

Beverages are gigantically oversized and super sweet. It was cute to see kids going in and out to music lessons and what not.

While it can be an adventure to find this mud house, it is worth the trip! I love going to new places and just sitting with the place. By that, I mean going alone so I’m not distracted and just experiencing how it feels to be there. So often we overlook vibes and energy in our busy lives, but it is a hobby of sorts of mine. Anywho, Accelerando feels comfortable. It is clean but not industrial or cold. It doesn’t feel pretentious or stuffy, just like anyone from the neighborhood could walk in and grab a cup. Not every coffee shop feels like that. I had a cornflake latte. I wanted to try it because I have honestly never seen it on another menu. Great vanilla flavor. Next time I want to try the cinnamon roll mocha or the Latin mocha(it has orange and chocolate in in!). My only gripe is the price. I love supporting local businesses so I am happy to pay a premium from time to time(especially because they support local artists and the community), but the prices here will probably make this a «treat yourself» kind of place instead of a regular hangout.

I tried a cup of siphon brewed coffee and a cup of chemex brewed coffee, both made with Ethiopian beans. First off, I want to say that I was extremely impressed to find these options even available. In this town I’ve been to coffee shops before that barely knew what a french press was. And then you get the places that have a million and one of their own drinks someone or other has invented, which are apparently all that and a bag of chips but in reality are generally sugar, milk, and maybe an ounce of espresso if you’re lucky. Anyhow, I was happy to find a place where you can get coffee flavored coffee. That said, there could be more bean options. I was offered Ethiopian, or there were a couple of flavored bean options, and I believe something called a nightingale blend. Not a fan of blends or of flavored coffee, so I went with Ethiopian. The chemex was the best of the two options in my opinion, as it had a lot of bright flavors. The siphon was okay, but out of the two I’d take the chemex any day. All in all, I will be back and I liked the coffee, although with so many wonderful brew methods, it’d be cool to have more bean options.

Great atmosphere and coffee! The only thing that needs improvement is the directions online… it took me into a neighborhood! After calling the shop, the owner kindly directed me to the back of the Westside career center. Glad I found it!

Who knew? Behind the Westside Community Center is a little, unassuming coffee shop brewing deliciousness. No neon sides or giant billboards to guide you, wide your way around the building to find a small sign announcing the presence of this establishment making your milk laced coffee drinks or, for the die hard caffeine fans, brewed, french press, chemex and expresso varieties. I opted for coffee three ways — same varietal(can I say that when it’s coffee and not wine) made french press, chemex and expresso. A milder french press than what I’m used to, the coffee was smooth. Chemex was equally delish. Expresso, well, you know… it can wake a girl up. What made me love them at hello?! The Settlers of Catan game sitting on the table. Whether you’re a die hard game nerd or a wanna be(like me), we can all appreciate a little gaming with our coffee. Doesn’t caffeine makes us smarter and more strategic?!
