All My Sons Moving & Storage of Omaha

Misleading estimate.
Was not told until after 4PM the day before that my piano would essentially be uninsured (their liability is by the pound) and that I had to arrange myself. The underwriter they referred me to needed 48 hours to process my coverage. I found coverage, but spent $ 332 for something that I thought would be included.
They showed up late. The invoice included one hour for «travel time» (to go 0.6 miles?) and $ 70.75 for fuel.
A desk was damaged and it took over 20 phone calls and getting hung up on multiple times before the national office finally took care of the problem.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you are considering using this company for your move, you may want to check the BBB website first. My husband and I used this company to load a U-​Pack trailer in Omaha, NE. Some of their incompetent actions include:
1.) Placing our boxes, which were clearly labeled as fragile, under heavy boxes with books,
2.) not using a majority of the moving blankets WE provided but rather just draping most of them over a few random items,
3.) lying to us by stating they would use packing paper on our paintings/​artwork, which they did not,
4.) not securing our boxes and furniture to the tie down brackets located every foot on the side of the trailer; even after we offered to provide them rope to do so.
I could go on and on, but frankly this company is not with my time. The pictures I am posting ought to be enough of a warning. When we contacted the owner, Matt Cave, he was a complete ass. He blamed us, the customers, and became highly defensive. According to the comments others have posted on BBB, this behavior seems to be typical of Matt.

What a horrible company!!! Do not go with them! They screw you completely! They didn’t unwrap anything or put any of my stuff back together… they walked as slow as snails and took forever to move us out of a two bedroom home! No appliances or huge furniture! 5 hrs later we had everything jumbled all over the new house! I called to speak with management and they wouldn’t do anything for me. It would have been nice to get a few dollars back for the bad services but management wouldn’t even call me back!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Just had a miserable experience with them. Lots of glad handing and salesmanship before the move, but then lots of laziness and disrespect during the move and a complete lack of customer service after the move, including several threats that if we didn’t pay them all of their jacked up rate before the movers left, we’d be committing a felony. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible experience. They showed up 2 years late and after they loaded everything they were supposed to drive the three hours to the new house but disappeared. No one was answering cell phones, that evening or the next morning until 9:00 am. Then they were busy on another job and couldn’t deliver our stuff until later that afternoon. Then they charged us an extra $ 400 since it was an overnight trip. Liars all around!

One star because I can’t leave –3 stars. Scam service at best! They were supposed to show up at 8AM and after several excuses they finally showed up at 1PM. After working as slowly as people can move we finally told them to just move what’s on the truck and we’ll take care of the rest. Save yourself the headache and time and use anyone else… even a one legged, one arm man would move furniture better!

I reported my issue to the BBB. They were not very helpful. The office filed a report that went to the company and back and forth the paperwork and e-​mails went until finally the BBB said they felt the company did all they could to rectify the situation. What a crock!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the move I experienced. I moved from base housing to a new construction, and the walls in the new home are now littered with dings, scratches, and gouges from the movers. The movers capitulated on bringing in the largest pieces of furniture, and other large pieces were drug across the wood floor and have definitely left their mark on the floor and walls.
Upon calling to resolve this issue I was put on hold and then the line took me to a voicemail each of the four times I called. I was left with no resolution to the problem but a number in Carrolton Texas which went directly to a voicemail. Using these movers puts your valuables and home at great risk! I will not be using this mover for my next move that’s for sure!

Sadly I didn’t even get the chance to use their moving services.
I called for a quote and when I said I was going to call a few more places before booking someone to move my stuff (which I would assume is a reasonable thing to do) the guy scoffed at me and told me it was the best price I was going to get. When I told him I was cost sensitive he hung up on me.
I will never use this moving company and I will absolutely not recommend them!!! I can’t imagine how the moving process would go if I actually hired them.

Well, 3 days before my move, they call and tell me since they are sooo busy the day of my move, they have to add an additional guy for a «discounted» rate of an EXTRA $ 30/​hour. Which sounds good and all (get the job done faster), but it’s still a 2 hour minimum. That doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to me. So I decided to go with Two Men and a Truck instead, used them a few years ago and they were great. Lesson learned: if you’ve used a good company in the past and it was a good experience, stick with them. Glad Two Men and a Truck was able to get me in with such late notice!

My family has lots of experience moving, both ourselves and through companies like this. This was our first and last time trusting All My Sons Moving & Storage. My wife got an estimate from sales associate Lyle based only on her telling them approximately what we needed to have moved. No inventory form to fill out indicating what items we needed to have moved. Just a conversation. Lyle said that was all they needed. My wife said feel more confident if they came out to the house to see exactly what we needed to have moved. Lyle said it wasn’t necessary. I did some research and after seeing a few negative reviews had my wife contact Matthew, the manager. He assured her that they could handle the move. We were given a «binding» contract.
Still not feeling satisfied, I personally called Lyle stating that there was no way they could move our entire house with a 24-​foot truck. I told him I had used a 24-​foot U-​haul truck, plus a 6-​ft trailer last year and it still wasn’t enough for my move. He stated that his trucks were taller than U-​hauls and that it would not be a problem.
Well, you probably know where this is going. The day of our move came and the load didn’t even come close to fitting. Even the truck driver said, «Somebody did a lousy job of estimating this.» He called Lyle, who told him they would send another truck, but it would cost us an additional $ 700. I called him furious explaining how this was entirely his fault to begin with and that he should have had an estimator come to our house as my wife and I insisted. He simply told me to lower my voice and consider that even had they come out, we would still have to pay this amount with the added $ 700. Seeing that Lyle was obviously missing the point and in dire need of some customer service training, I asked to speak to the manager, Matthew who took care of the situation, but still charged us more than $ 200 for the additional truck. Not too happy about that.
Well, we didn’t get moved that day. The next day they arrived several hours later than I was originally told and told my wife they couldn’t unload the truck until they received a cashiers check for the full amount. NOBODY, at any point in this entire process told us this was required.
The only silver lining to this nasty cloud is the movers and truck drivers were exceptionally kind and professional. My advice to RJ and the gang? Find employment with a moving company that values customer service as much as you.
