Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. Omaha has gone too long without a high-end Mexican restaurant that’s up to snuff. The ingredients are of the highest quality and the staff is excellent. The house-made chips are some of the best I have ever had. After having spent time living with Mexicans in rural Mexico, I can honestly say that this is the most authentic Mexican food I have had state-side.

Went with a group to Andre’s on Monday, weather was poor and the place was pretty slow. Our waiter was good, although he was new, he worked hard. It was our first time at this place. I had Chicken tacos and my wife had chimichanga(special that evening. I also tried a fish taco. The rest of the group had similar items. Chips and salsa were good and the basket was refilled timely. Ambience was very nice and generally the place was okay. I did think that except for the special the portions were small and overpriced. Three small tacos cost $ 13.5, included rice and beans. The fish taco was better than the chicken. Mostly the group was satisfied, but I wouldn’t say they were excited about the place and the food. Just average and there are better, more price reasonable places in Omaha for Mexican food.

The was the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. The proportions are small and the price far exceeds a fair price given proportion size. From the salsa to the entrees to the drinks the food was horrible. I never leave my leftovers behind but I did at this restaurant. Don’t bother trying this one.

This place has the best beans I’ve ever had! I generally order the fish tacos, but yesterday I ordered the Shrimp Cobb Salad. It was delicious and came with this awesome roll that had cheesy jalapenos — YUM! I love their flour tacos and house salsa. Simply my favorite place when I’m craving tacos! Oh and did I mention their three-layer rice. Check it out as I want this place to stay open — other restaurants here haven’t fared so well. :)

I have eaten lunch at Andres twice now and I have enjoyed both experiences — good service and food. My issue is the price point; $ 12 for the entrée, $ 3 for iced tea and I left a $ 3 tip. That’s $ 18 dollars for lunch folks. Holy cow! Curious diners will try Andres, and they will probably not return. The parking lot was packed with Christmas shoppers on 12÷18÷15 and the restaurant was barely 1⁄3 full. This place won’t last a year! Pity.

I stopped in her for lunch on a Friday in November. It’s an attractive dining sport and wasn’t too crowded for a weekday lunch. Service was friendly. Waitress was obviously somewhat new to the profession, but was handling it well. I got everything I needed when I needed it and she smiled the entire time. Food was good. They offer both flour and corn tortilla chips. Both are excellent. Their House Roasted Tomato Salsa that comes with them is different than what you’re probably used to, but good. They have other salsas you can sample for a small charge. Enchiladas were excellent. I tried both the Chicken Enchilada Verde and the Beef Enchilada. Both were fantastic, but the Chicken Enchilada Verde was especially tasty. I haven’t had a «verde» item that good in a LONG time. Well done, Andrés! Black beans were okay(I’m not a huge fan of black beans in general) and rice trio was also good(again, not a big eater of rice in general). The menu felt a little weak on selection. I’m not totally sure why. They essentially have about 5 core items with different flavor varieties of each. They have like 100 different kinds of tequila which I just find funny more than anything. Is there some unwritten rule that upper end Mexican restaurants have to offer 50 or more varieties of tequila? Portions were smaller than I was expecting, but ingredient quality was definitely there and I was full when my meal was done. I think there’s some expectation of people that when they spend more than a certain amount on food that their portion will be huge(even if they’re not even remotely capable of eating it all). The portion here was enough to fill me for lunch. No takeout containers. Unfortunately, many people feel that any ethnic cuisine(except that of Western Europe or Japan) should be cheap cuisine. The moment their lunch costs them more than $ 10 they’re outraged at the cost. That’s a little unfair. I’ll definitely be back to get more of that Chicken Enchilada Verde and try a few new things too.

Salsa was bland and flavorless and need salt and more cilantro but flour chips were good. We had the street tacos. Omg! They were not good! We ordered 6 tacos and each one was as bland and boring as the next! The shells were disgusting! The atmosphere was great!

Not even worth the one star. Came in at 12:45. Got my limeade drink wrong. Finally 35 minutes later the bar waiter came over because we still did not have our food. 10 minutes later it came out wrong. We were still expected to pay for it and refused. Manager never came over to talk to us at all. Terrible service. Won’t be back. Don’t care if the food is good or not. I won’t be treated this way. Update: found out that Andrew who did come to make excuses for the disaster is the manager. He does not take criticism well but instead tried to explain what happened and make excuses. He also did not introduce himself at all nor did he dress like a manager. After reading through the other poor reviews there seems to be a common person that is the problem. Andrew. Poor management will lead to poor service. Such a shame.

Stopped here for lunch last week with my mom on our day quest of trying new things. First off, I’ll say that I dined here a few times when Ingredient was here and I really like what they’ve done with the space — has a very modern but comfortable feel. I ordered the chipotle beef tacos that came with a rice trio and charro beans for $ 9.99. My mom ordered chicken enchiladas. The wait for our food seemed a bit longer than I would expect for a Tuesday afternoon but luckily we weren’t in a hurry and had free chips(both corn & flour) and salsa to munch on. The food and service were both very good, I would like to come back here again.

Terrible management. I would reconsider going here based on price per quality ratio. In addition, lack of staff with experience in serving. Management had poor ability to take constructive criticism regarding the lack of quality in this. Again really not worth a visit unfortunately. Food was mediocre.

Absolutely fabulous!!! Based on other reviews, I can only say it must have been growing pains for a brand new restaurant. They have only been open full schedule since late June. Our experience was exceptional! Amazing! So many tequilas it will make your head spin. The food was fresh and wonderful. The enchiladas are hands down the house special. It’s not a chain. This is an Omaha original. My new favorite restaurant!!!

Went there with our dinner group. Had the Betty & Bacillas potato and onion enchiladas. They were good and we all had a good time. The only odd thing was our waiter. At times he was very helpful, and other times it seemed he felt we were so far beneath him, that it was an insult on him to be our server. When he’d walk away we’d all look at each other and just break out laughing it was so bizarre. We ordered some churros to go, and told him we needed at least 8 of them to be in the order. He told us it would be 7 or 9, it couldn’t be 8. He had no control over it. When we got home there were 11 in there…

Tried Andres for the first time this weekend. The interior was awesome with lime walls and cool décor. Our waiter was a little forgetful and«relaxed» but a sweet guy overall. We enjoyed the free nacho chips and delicious homemade salsa — got a mix of corn and flour chips. .. yum. My husband had the tequila with cucumber flavors and really liked it. We ordered the street tacos and my husband(who is a big legume fan) thought the side of beans were the best he has tasted. The pork tacos were excellent and the fish tacos tasted great with the raspberry glaze. The tacos are not big but tasty and filling. My daughter ordered the churros for dessert — we got a huge bowl of freshly-made warm churros with sweet cream on the side for dipping — they were wonderful. Despite claiming he didn’t want any dessert, my husband gobbled them up. There several other delicious-looking desserts on the menu that I would like to try. We will definitely be back!

I was initially surprised the queso appetizer and was so expensive, but once I tried it I couldn’t complain. Impressive tequila collection, great fish tacos, and cool décor, plus an attentive but not pushy server. I hope this eatery fares better than the last few in this location! Would definitely come back to try their ever-expanding menu.

I ate here with my family on a Friday night. The interior is gorgeous and they have several cool liquor displays(including an entire case filled with patron). The margaritas here are very good — I tried a pineapple jalapeño margarita, the blended strawberry margarita, and the top shelf margarita(actually my least favorite of all three). Our server was very friendly through the entire meal. They bring you complimentary chips and salsa and you have an option of corn chips or flour chips or a combination of the two. We went with the combination and the flour were my favorite as they were super light and fluffy. My sister and I ordered a jalapeño cheese roll to split, which is brought out as an appetizer. This is basically a croissant loaded with jalapeño and cheese and it was delicious. For my entrée I ordered the shrimp empanadas. This dish is served with their rice trio and refried beans. These empanadas were incredible. They were topped with a mango salsa that was a great complement to the other flavors in the dish. The rice trio was the best rice I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The beans were pretty average. One of my biggest complaints of our dining experience would be that the kid’s meals are $ 9, which is asinine for a kid’s meal. We ordered the cheese pizza for my niece and it was a very small pizza built on a tortilla — definitely not worth $ 9. I would definitely go here again, as the prices for the regular entrees are pretty standard, but there is absolutely no way I would ever dine here again with a child.

Wow! Went in after reading the review introducing them in the newspaper and despite the not so pleasant reviews on Unilocal/Tomato. Go and try it for yourself and don’t trust everything you read… remember that this is a very new and young restaurant that is retooling as they go and every one has differing likes/dislikes & opinions on food, flavor, cost and more. We loved it and are so glad that went to form our own opinion. We went in early on a Saturday night and were greeted right away by the hostess, chose to sit at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance and look of the restaurant. There is an extensive drink and tequila list. I had the most unexpectedly fantastic pineapple Serrano Margarita, suggested by the bar tender and told to be quite popular lately. A mix of corn and corn flour tortillas with a delicious salsa were offered to us. While not traditional to Americanized Salsa you have tasted, it had a good flavor, a slight, but enjoyable sweetness and we liked the unique pita like crunch of the corn flour tortilla chips. The menu was well explained, questions answered and in a timely manner. Our food arrived in reasonable time and the street tacos, while smaller than most people expect(and have complained about) were packed with quality and flavor. The enchiladas were great and filling; I had beef, chicken enchilada verde and the potato and onion(this wasn’t really my favorite). The charro beans were so yummy… which I didn’t expect and was delightfully surprised by. This isn’t the Midwest Americanized Mexican fare you are used to. It definitely has a southwest flair, which we were open to and quite enjoyed. We will certainly be going back again as a couple, eventually taking our family; and I can’t wait to have a girls night out here! Try it! You’ll be glad you did!

Amazing Experience! I went alone on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar. I started with a flight of tequila and the chile con queso. I got half flour and half corn chips, the corn are my personal preference. The complimentary salsa was unique and a bit on the sweet side. All were delicious(speaking from a Texan’s perspective) and the bartender DJ was especially helpful picking out something I would like, plus my tequila was served in champagne flutes– how fun is that?! I then tried out the chicken, beef, & fish tacos with beans and rice. The beans and rice were fresh and delicious, my favorite taco was the chicken. I would order that again. I also tried the tequila mule(again recommended by DJ) — delicious and SO refreshing! I finished off my meal with house made coconut ice cream and coffee tequila. Great service and food, I will be back. Thankful for a tequila bar in Omaha that serves flights and a full menu!

Went in with no expectations for the latest in a long line of businesses to set up shop in this particular corner of One Pacific Place, but left disappointed and frankly a bit angry. The restaurant’s focus seems to be a bit scattershot, though the stars of the show are supposed to be their tequila and their tortillas. I will say, both their flour and corn chips were on point, and their mango and house salsas were quite good. The chipotle and verde were more basic but still good. Note that this is not a super-high bar to clear. The décor was a bit over the top but also very attractively designed, especially the bar that serves as a hub for the interior. There was a confounding back page to the menu that suggested that they had a few dozen menu items that they were kicking around in R&D that might be on the menu in the future. What end, exactly, does this serve? To put me in the mood for something that isn’t available on an already very basic and minimal menu? I ordered the shrimp empanadas without cheese. The server came back a few minutes later to explain that they cannot make their empanadas without cheese. In the words of Don Draper, «…what?» This should have been a warning sign that propelled me from my seat into the street to find somewhere else to eat. But no, I’m in a good mood and I’m out with family so let’s make the best of it. Fried cod fish tacos it is. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive throughout this, and I could tell that they were used to dealing with a subpar back of house. I felt badly for them to be honest, but it still took a very long time to get water refills and our tab and card sat on our table for a good 10 minutes after it was dropped. The manager/owner was watching them like a hawk though so again I felt like there was a lot of stress they were under. Then again it was 8PM and they were not busy, and they were not the only server on the floor. Our food arrives and I’m immediately struck by how small the tacos are. $ 12,50 for 3 tacos that look straight out of a tapas plate? The«rice trio» was okay flavor-wise but the top rice layer was mushy and overcooked. The«Charro beans» seemed like refried beans that had been diluted with a super-salty beef stock that recalled Campbell’s chili more than anything. And then the fried fish tacos. The corn salsa on it may have been okay but it was impossible to get past the mushy, undercooked batter and wet, raw tortilla. I am the last person to send back a plate of food. But when there is a problem with the most basic of execution and I’m so put off by the bite I ate that I’m no longer hungry, I can’t just let that slide. Then the darndest thing happened: the server knew what my complaint was before I could get it out, and took the plate away«to speak with the owner». That tells me everything I need to know about this restaurant in its current state. The problems in the back of house and the pressure from management to have their new business succeed are making life miserable for the servers. It even shows in the«now hiring» signs still prominently displayed on the front doors. We never requested to speak to a manager, but we sent food back and didn’t hear from one. On a slow night, that seems unacceptable. Go for the chips and salsa(which, oddly, is available to take home as leftovers) and cheap happy hour drinks, but when it comes to the rest of the menu this is a place best avoided. I know they’ve only been open for a few months but the problems with the food are so fundamental that I can’t excuse it. The server and drinks should have pushed this to 2 stars but the food was just too bad.

I wanted to really like this place. I liked the décor. The ceiling and light fixtures were unique. The bar was attractive. The menu offered so many choices I just didn’t know what to choose. The waiter actually made several suggestion. I was eyeing the shrimp empanada, so when he included it in his recommendations, my decision was made. Every table gets chips and salsa. He asked if I wanted corn or flour. Since I wasn’t sure how different they would be, he offered to bring a mix. As it turns out, corn are the typical tortilla chip. The flour tortillas were fried, puffy triangles. I preferred the corn. The salsa was thick and very tomatoey. It had a very slight bite. It was good, but not extraordinary or unique. The empanadas arrived — nice presentation. The rice trio was full of flavor and the beans tasted fresh. I was disappointed with the empanadas. My mistake for not knowing they would be fried flour similar to the flour tortillas. But it was the decided lack of anything that resembled shrimp that made me most sad. I almost asked if they brought me the right dish, but I decided to deconstruct one to see if I could find any shrimp. It was a tough call, but I do believe there was shrimp in the shrimp empanadas. The flavor, though not truly of shrimp, was good, but I didn’t enjoy the fried flour shell. I should have ordered the enchiladas and I do think I’ll give this place another try. The waiter was great. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food presentation was certainly elevated from what one would see in a typical taqueria. There was not a lot of food on my plate, but the price was very reasonable

Stumbled upon this place while in Omaha on a business trip, and it happened to be their very first day. It seems their are shooting beyond your traditional«Mexican food» but in a good way. As per usual chips and salsa came before our meal, and we enjoyed their chunky take on salsa. I only ordered a beer, but it appears they have a full bar with plenty of tequila to satisfy your margarita needs. We ordered chicken enchiladas, and they were great. They came covered in a delicious salsa verde, and served with 3 kinds of rice and black beans. Definitely recommend them, but also saw tacos that looked just as good. A side note. The menu states the menu is ever evolving, and they are doing things in waves(outdoor seating, lunch, Sunday brunch). I can see where not being open for lunch is a downer, but don’t be strayed by that, they are eventually doing lunch. A beer(Corona), side of guacamole, and chicken enchiladas(3 of them in an order) was roughly $ 20, so not outside of what a typical dinner would cost. Plan to stop by again next time in Omaha.
