This is not a steak house. This is not traditional American food. This restaurant is overpriced. If you desire to pay for atmosphere then by all means go here. If you are immune to what real good food should taste like, go here. If you like paying for extras that should be included with your meal, by all means go here. One could go to a corner bar and receive better food, drinks that don’t empty your pockets and a meal tab that you would not have to finance. If you don’t have a value on how you can waste money on an evening out, this is your place…

This place is great, I waited too long to try it! They have the best Salmon Caesar Salad I’ve ever had, and the bread is pretty darn good, too.

Great menu! Nice atmosphere! I went with my work team. The wait staff was great, but found the youthfulness of them quite amusing. Our main waitress looked barely old enough to serve liquor! In fact, one of my team mates ended up opening the bottle of wine because the waitress couldn’t figure out how to use the corkscrew. It was actually kinda cute. For appetizers, we had the quesadillas and flatbread which were excellent! The spinach and artichoke dip had a strange tangy-ness to it that I couldn’t figure out. The pink diamond martini was excellent! The house salad was very hearty with egg and bacon crumbles. The champagne vinaigrette was great. It also came with a warm crescent roll that melted in my mouth! Now, the blackened trout was amazing! It was topped with a little mango salsa. Came with rice and veggies. The veggies were fresh but not very seasoned. I also ordered a side of fried okra that was decent. I don’t eat key lime cheesecake, but the table raved about it. The bread pudding was shareable. I ordered the 5-nut brownie. It came with caramel and some kind of custard with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was good but would have been better of it had hot fudge on top.

So many extra points for the waiter, Casey. It was so busy and he was so pleasant, attentive and helpful. If you go here try and be in his section. He helped us choose what we would order, checked in regularly and refilled waters frequently. The best part of the meal was the honey flavored, buttery croissants before dinner. Easily could have been a dessert too. We got enough that we could take some home. Yum! The food was also good(smoked salmon for me and chicken fried steak for my coworker). We were both happy with out orders. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night which says something for the service and the variety of good choices on the menu. I am glad we visited here.

First time here. In town for visiting family for Thanksgiving and decided on recommendation to give it a try. We had a party of 8… 6 adults and 2 kids(8 and 12) 1st they put us in a 6 person booth leaving us squeezed in. We placed our orders kids ordered cheesburgers one was no onion no lettuce the other burger ordered everything. Food arrives and the kids recieved kids burgers which are plain burgers no condiments at all. Turns out thats the way kids burgers are supposed to be. To me, the server should have said something about it since the kids ordered something specific. They ordered from the menu just like the adults. Considering we were on a schedule we couldnt afford the time for a refire. Everyone else had good food, i would go back but i would hope that servers learn their menu and dont make assumtions.

Very nice atmosphere. Excellent wait staff, very friendly and quick with refills. A bit on the pricier side, but not so much to break the bank. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, but maybe not as a go-to place.

Great food and service, a super place to go for a Sunday afternoon. The short ribs were some of the best I’ve had in a long time!

Not like our food was bad and service was good. I guess it just seemed kinda expensive for a run of the mill piece of meat.

Yikes… I’ve been here 4 or 5 times before and the food and service was very good. Times have changed. We didn’t see our server for 24 minutes. All the other servers walked around aimlessly like zombies. It sucks because I have come to expect the best every time, however it has been a year or so. Won’t be coming back

The filet is like butter! Service from the bar is great. Stop in and see Chase. He’ll make it a memorable night.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance. The servers are all very nice and attentive. You never have to worry about your drink getting empty. As soon as my lemonade was half empty, they bought a refill. The menu has a nice variety of items to choose from. I had the Moss Point Gumbo which was homemade and very good. I also had the Walt’s Champagne Chicken Salad. The portion was big and probably enough to share if you aren’t starving. Overall the prices were reasonable.

Friendly professional good looking staff in this establishment. The meal I ordered were roasted tomato and vegetable soup, house salad with champagne citrus vinagret with a sweet flavor fluffy croissant and the main meal was grill tilapia with steamed veggies and rice with diced mango, tomato and onion topping. Holy moly that was delicious! The décor of the restaurant is excellent, staff appears and looks professional, the bathroom is clean and has a TV screen behind the dark stain mirror. You wanna feel you are eating at a 4 star restaurant that serves excellent food and you don’t feel like you are at Olive Garden. Go to Charleston’s!

This review is for the Perfect Margarita only. I had visitors in town, people actually are visiting me in Nebraska… we wanted a margarita but couldn’t think of where. I figured Charleston’s probably had a decent bar. They have a nice bar set up for a quick drink or if you wanted to dine belly up, which pre-kid was my favorite mode of dining. The ‘Perfect Margarita’ was their first item on the drink menu… score. We ordered three of those bad Larry’s. They were served in a martini glass, no rocks, a skewer with two green olives and a lime. I kinda side-eyed the olives at first but it ended up being the absolute perfection of sweet and salty. The margarita itself was absolutely divine. Since we only came in for a quick one, we left after one but I think we could’ve stayed all day!!! I will most definitely be back to sip on that goodness!

Cleanliness 4 Service 5 Food Quality 4 Likelihood 5 1 – 5(5 Best!) 4.5 Lunch for 2. What a wonderful culture of service this venue offers. This is a location that normally my spouse and I eat only for anniversary and very special occasions(we want to keep it special) I was reminded on this visit how different it is from many other restaurants. Our server was incredible, professional, attentive, and efficient. He made our experience a vacation. We wanted for nothing. The food, was hot, fresh, so flavorful. AND the lunch prices were not that different from eating at a box place like Applebees, or Old Chicago. The restrooms are VERY clean AND who doesn’t have TV’s at the wash basin to view? LOL If you want a meal, you can eat just about anywhere. If you want an experience try Charlestons.

Having been to a number of Charleston’s, I came here expecting a certain levels of service, food, and ambience. I’m happy to report that this location lived up to those expectations. The lighting was dim and intimate, while being cozy. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the friendly bartender, and her recommendation of the prime rib. The house salad came out with more toppings than most entrée salads have, and the steak was perfectly prepared and moist/tasty. Amazing environment, beautiful food, friendly staff. The price is a bit higher than some chain places(plan on $ 20+/entrée), but well worth it.

This was actually my second trip back to Charlestons on 75th& Dodge. I’ve been to Charlestons further out West a couple of times and ordered the roasted chicken. Thought it was good. Not out of this world, but good. Went to the newer Charlestons a couple of months ago and decided to order the filet. Wow… I was really shocked at how great it was. Loved the hardwood taste to it, and it was cooked perfectly. So tender… melted in my mouth. Went back for a second time because I was craving that perfectly cooked filet again, and I wasn’t disappointed! We arrived around 6:45 on a Friday, and they were packed. Amazingly we were seated right away. I noticed that the restaurant has several booths made for 2 people. Very smart… many couples go out to eat and they way they had it set up made it easier to seat couples immediately. Our waitress was awesome even though she was very busy. I ordered the filet, and my dining partner the chicken piccata. Again… my filet was perfectly cooked… melted in my mouth. My dining partner enjoyed the chicken piccata, but clearly I was way too into my steak to ask many questions about hers! We also ordered a side of garlic bread that was fantastic, and of course the famous croissants which we took home to eat later! As stuffed as I was I couldn’t help but take a couple of bites of my dining partner’s brownie sundae she ordered for dessert. Wow… it was awesome. I believe it was sort of a vanilla sauce on the plate, then a warm brownie(WITHNUTS!!) and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. May have been the best brownie sundae I ever tasted! Good service and great food… yup…I’ll be back!

Lunch at Charleston’s. Restaurant is fairly large and seat almost 300. Inside is dark with a lot of wood, stone and black and brown furniture. All the waiters and waitresses wear black. Lot of business professionals dining in the restaurant. Menu has your standard fare associated with most restaurants; e.g. fish, chicken, beef, etc. Daily specials as well. Service overall was good and attentive. We played it simple and got tilapia and cheeseburger. Tilapia comes with rice and mixed vegetables. Requested that no peppers be put in the mixed veggies. When it came out, not only were there peppers in the mixed veggies, but also in the rice as well. Tilapia tasted over salted. Asked for the cheeseburger to be medium well. Came out rare to medium rare. Showed the waitress and she confirmed it was not cooked as requested. Asked if I wanted another sandwich. Didn’t have time due to an appointment. Left the sandwich on the plate. The cilantro slaw(actually had a bit of a kick) was tasty as well as the smokehouse beans. Manager came over and inquired about the meal. Ended up having the burger still laying more or less uneaten other than a couple bites removed from the bill. Doubtful we’ll eat here again. Too many other restaurants in Omaha and the surrounding area to try. Not exactly cheap either. After the burger was removed from the bill, the cost was still $ 30 bucks without tip.

AVERAGEALERT! Nothing spectacular. Nothing is more disappointing than walking into a restaurant with beautiful décor and an upscale feel and then receiving your meal… and it being mediocre! The shrimp appetizer was yummy. I had the chicken parm… completely DISAPPOINTED!!! It was BLANDBLANDBLAND!!! I will NOT be bad. The waitress was very nice but I think she forgot about us. We needed a refill for 18 minutes(yes, we timed it)– she never came so we picked up our cell phone and called the restaurant and requested that our waitress bring us refills(they were totally confused)… but she finally did come! We came catfish and they waitress told us that they did not have catfish at this location well the commercial should say«at select locations.» But I guess I am confused as to WHY a place on 72nd and Dodge doesn’t have catfish. The waitress said that during training they said that they didn’t think that this location would get business for catfish… which is so odd. 1. It is close to North Omaha… not saying that all North Omahans love catfish… but not saying that they don’t! ;) I’m just saying… there are WAY more catfish restaurants in N. Omaha than there are in West Omaha… so that should speak to which population enjoys catfish. We are from the Offutt area and I KNOW for a fact that a lot of the military population looks for yummy catfish(esp when there is a rotation of military folks from down South)… And 72nd is much loser than 132! Charleston who does your market analysis!!! Because they clearly need to be retrained!

No catfish at this location? What? I saw a Charleston commercial last night featuring some good looking catfish, so I was on a mission today to get my hands on some. What a disappointment they only have it at the other location up the road a bit. +++++Waitress was great, very friendly and nice! Very clean and nice décor. Awesome bathroom, with the TV in the mirror. —Pricey $$$.
