Charlie’s Restaurant & Pizza

Talk about a small town with a hidden gem. Friendly, no-​nonsense service. I had the chicken fried steak and it was so delicious. Also sampled the Twinkie cake which was also very good, and would’ve had more if I didn’t feel so guilty.
If you want fancy décor, this is not the place. If you want delicious home-​cooked meals, then this is for you and worth the drive.

A hidden gem. Small unpretentious diner type restaurant in Omaha AK with great home cooked food and very reasonable prices. We ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner, Pork Tenderloin Dinner and the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. The dinners came with a simple but fresh and crispy lettuce salad, a vegetable and choice of potato. Oh, and a thick slice of delicious home baked garlic bread. Because the meals were large, we ordered Coconut Cream pie to go from the long list of homemade pies. No complaints about the meals or service!
Charlie’s is about 35 min. south of Branson, MS on old highway 65, off county highway 65. Our gps directions were not clear, but if you follow signs to Omaha, you can’t miss it. Our only regret is that we live in OH and can’t come back often!

Best home style cooking in the area!!! Ms. Charlie sure can cook! Homeade onion rings are awesome and so is the made from scratch Pork Tenderloin Sandwich… Hidden Gem… If you like the diner feel with good food well this is the place for you!!!
