Fantastic donuts. i love the Donut professor. LOVE them. they are a left hand turn off Maple across the street from Home Depot. huge parking area. i was in there early on a Saturday and picked up a dozen. they kept fresh in the fridge for a week. cinnamon sugar and the buttermilk chocolate covered are my favorite. DELISH. ’

On the plus side, workers are friendly and buttermilk donuts are great. Problem is every time I go in there, they don’t have any of them available. I don’t buy anything if they are out of them, as I can get a typical bar or cake donut anywhere. Make more of the chocolate buttermilk!

I would say this is your average doughnut shop. All the donuts that we sampled were fresh and as far as Variety goes just your standard selection. The interior is pretty bare-​bones but does have some seating if you would be interested in eating there. Their prices are also very reasonable.

Caramel apple fritter is by far the best donut I’ve ever had. Problem is they don’t carry very many of them. Old fashion is good too.

Good donuts. I liked them and so did the kids. Like previous reviewers said, nothing overly special but I would definitely go back and eat there.

Good donut place with a variety choices although not unique but good!
My Faves are the apple fritter with caramel topped & buttermilk donuts!

NOTE: This is a review for the ELKHORN location since I couldn’t find it on here.
Pretty sure the doughnuts we got were a day old… or older when they’re supposed to be «fresh».
I came in a Monday morning around 9 to pick up a dozen doughnuts and having worked at a competitor shop back in my teenage days, I know what a fresh doughnut looks like. Anyways the glazed doughnuts (the staple of all doughnut shops) looked pretty pitiful and I wouldn’t know how bad until we got home. They were dry and semi-hard…as if they’ve been sitting in a glass case for a day.
Pretty much the same story with the rest of the doughnuts. This is only my second time at a Donut Professor and I would recommend Lamar’s over them any day! (P.S. I have never worked at Lamar’s)

Small and simple donut shop with a good selection.
Standard donuts and good coffee. You won’t find off-​the-​wall crazy offerings here, but what they have is very consistent and no-​nonsense.
The donuts here are definitely better than most grocery store donuts, but are not outstanding in any way. Their traditional cake donuts are my favorite.

Pretty standard for a donut shop but they were fresh, tasty, and the server was very friendly. My wife loved the apple fritter and while the cinnamon roll didn’t have as much icing as I would like, it was still pretty good.
