This place has been great. We had to leave town in a hurry (nothing too exciting) and they really helped us out on a Sunday morning. Really appreciated it.
Maggie came home very happy and exhausted. Seemed like she slept for a week.

I have a 130lb Long Coated Akita named Parker, who loves to play with other dogs. Most of the places in the Big O cater only to smaller dogs and dog parks don’t work well for us. So when I saw the sign announcing the opening of the Hound I was hopeful, this would be different. We met the owners and they got to know Parker and what a goof ball he really is. Based on this I was told NOT A PROBLEM bring him down. The other bonus is the Hound is close to home for us, and he comes home exhausted. That makes me Very Happy to see that he had a chance to play. I can’t say enough good things about the Hound, just give it a chance to make your puppy happy.

So I called not knowing what to expect since I have a 110 pound Newfi and he needed groomed asap. They got me in the next day, let me drop him off before work and was an absolute delight about everything. I told them that he didn’t really get along with other dogs that much and she said «no problem we will watch him» when they finished up Toby she called and said he is playing with all the other dogs and to take my time getting her because he is having a blast. So when I went to pick him up he looked like a complete different dog he was shiny and hair was trimmed great and was wore out from playing with all the other dogs. I couldn’t be any happier with this place. I live on a 168th st in Gretna and work nowhere near downtown and this will be the ONLY place we take our dogs from now on defiantly worth the extra drive to take your dog here.

I cannot say enough good things about Downtown Hound! My dog has been going there for about six months for day care and boarding. He loves playing with the other dogs, and gets excited as soon as he sees where we are going. The staff is very friendly and caring towards the dogs. The prices are reasonable.

Great service, great care and great grooming. Best of all, competitive pricing and a convenient location and hours. How could it get better? I can’t think of anything right now.
These guys seriously care about making sure your needs are met and exceeded. The staff was beyond nice!

Great place for dogs. Big play area. My dog is super tired after I pick her up from both overnight care and daycare. Wish the petcams were working. I love watching her while at daycare. Pretty affordable pricing. And I wish there was an outdoor area too. Seems my dog will potty in the house more often after staying there since they don’t go outside to potty. Otherwise great place.

Been a regular customer for about a year now. I’ve got a weim with a lot of energy so the big play area is a plus and he’s always tired when we pick him up. Another plus. Between the location and the affordability I can’t ask for much more. However it would be nice if they were eventually able to utilize the large outdoor area next to the building when it’s warm out.
