This is the first time I have ever put a review on Unilocal but I am doing this in the hope that someone who works for Ester’s will see this and consider the value of customer service. I have shopped at Esters a number of times and think they have very nice clothes. However, I had an issue with an item that I had given to Esters to sell. When I called to ask about the item, the woman told me she didn’t have time to talk to me and let out a long sigh. Wow. When I went in person, I was also met with a rude attitude from another employee. I hope that in the future employees will consider the impact that their mannerisms have on customers. Really disappointing.

Love this place. They are so nice here and they have alot of stuff in all different sizes. you can tory burch, chanel, a lot of ann taylor and the prices are very reasonable and in good condition. I had my eyes hooked on a pair of chanel ballet slipper but they were not my size. I told a friend and she wanted them so I called and they were super kind enough to send us pics so my friend can make a decision. Plus they were willing to mail them to her too.

I do really appreciate the fact that this consignment store sells many nice things. The store does not smell like a thrift or consignment store either! I mean, it’s really a hidden treasure. You can find every name brand you could think of! The problem with this store is their customer service though. Going back to the first time I ever came here, about 8 years ago maybe, I was lucky enough to meet the owner. She was definitely one who knew how to treat each and every customer. Fast forward to yesterday, not the same customer service. My sister and I walk into the door, no hello. We said hello to the lady at the register helping a customer but did not get a response. Oh well. Maybe we looked trashy? I was wearing a t shirt and sweat pants. I guess. We walk around for a little while and I find a could things. I wait around for someone to help us because I wanted to see something in their case. Finally, we get help. I chose to purchase the Tiffany bracelet in the case. I then proceed to ask the lady if they ever sell LV or Burberry bags. She said, «yes, we do but you’d have walked right past it because it’s not your typical Burberry and their over a thousand dollars». I said, «you mean like mine?» Then, this lady began to be very nice to me since I already had a Burberry bag! I will say, however, the owner’s daughter who is now in charge of the store is very very friendly. I took home the bracelet I bought from the other lady and my husband studied it compared to a necklace I have. It was not real. The«new» owner let us return it and she pulled it from their stock. If I could come here and guarantee that the owner would be there to help me, I would probably come more often. I just think their customer service should be more consistent. They do have really nice, quality stuff.

I love consignment stores, and I make a point to visit one or two on vacation. I was pleasantly surprised to find Esther’s — it was a little hard to find at first(the entrance is in the back of the main building), but I was glad I made the trek. I was immediately greeted with a hello and, when I said I was new, the store owner gave me a brief tour of the clothing sections, which is so incredibly helpful — sometimes it can be hard to find things you want. It also allowed me to start from the back and work my way to the front — the back housed a few«last chance» items while the front holds most of the more popular brands: YSL, DVF, Dolce & Gabbana, etc. No, this isn’t Goodwill — the pieces are hand selected and usually designer, but it’s still a great bargain because nearly all of the items looked brand new. I scored a Joseph Abboud cream dress(which I think was originally a men’s blouse, but looked great as a dress), a simple long-sleeved White House/Black Market black dress, and a Society for Rational Dress grey blouse with a blue silk tie. All were in excellent condition, and I spent about $ 70 — not bad for three great finds.(I only wish I could’ve fit in that pink Christian Cota dress!) Since we were traveling, the store owner was nice enough to find better hangers for me to use in the car, and she also offered a few must-see places for us to visit while we were in Omaha. Overall, a great shopping experience, and great clothes!
