No complaints, only empty plates! Awesome black bean vegetarian soup, bacon-free blt salad, and portobello sandwich! Great fast lunch and kind attentive servers. Will be back to try the enticing ranch onion rings!

I visit from out of town a couple of weeks a month and always make sure I visit Firebirds. Their food is amazing, especially the salads! The salmon is really great and one of my favorites. I have to commend them on their service. I did a takeout order and they forgot the dressing on the side. They delivered It to my hotel and surprised me with amazing cheesecake bites. Superb food and amazing service. A big must!

Nothing special bread was ok the sirloin My son and I ordered ok but brought out on each other’s plate with the other persons side. So we had to move the steaks from each other’s plate. Fire grilled yes but not a lot of flavor or seasoning. My loaded baked potato was ok but the bacon was burned. The glasses for our soda were coated or felt like they had residue from food so they did switch those out for us. Just disappointed after talking my son into eating there. I had been there a few other times for dinner and had prime rib which was good. And hate to be picky but when so many things start adding up… The plates are just old and tired looking with the firebirds logo. I know where I eating I don’t want to see that my entire meal. Not relaxing

Hands down one of the best in Omaha! Too many excellent selections of appetizers and entrees to choose from. Definitely will have to make multiple visits to experience the full menu!

I was there with my husband when I was pregnant so my comment I’m writing down right now might differ from what I would think when I go there next. Last time I was there was in Winter 2015. I enjoyed the pasta I ordered. It was a little too salty but then I was pregnant back then so I had a big appetite and no problem. haha It’s nice place for adults mostly.

Nice restaurant with nice food. I really enjoyed their Ahi Tuna appetizer. I tried their ribs and it was good too. Not my favorite in that category but still good at this type of restaurant(not BBQ restaurant). The atmosphere is very nice and we enjoyed our date.

Absolutely LOVE Firebird’s! Prime rib is always very good, and the sides are fantastic. I really enjoy the BLT salad, too. Very comfortable atmosphere and good service. Always at the top of my list on date night with my wife. And she enjoys it as much as I do, too!

This place is amazing! Very casual atmosphere but top notch food. They’re known for their garlic ranch dressing, so be sure to order the Ranch Rings appetizer and the BLT salad on the side! I ordered the Peppercorn Sirloin and it is fantastic every time we come here! Get here before 6 pm on a Friday and you’ll likely get seated right away. Later than that, there could be a wait but well worth it. Our server tonight was Jennifer and she was excellent! We will be back!

I have previously had a great business lunch here a few years ago. This visit was for a business dinner. Right off the bat service impresses. Our server was very personable as she engaged us socially instead of just taking our order. All six of us asked questions regarding the menu and each was answered in detail. Cutting to the chase all of our entrees, various steaks was cooked to perfection. Portions were beyond sufficient and the above average cost fully supported the quality of each selection. If you have business in downtown Omaha Firebirds may be a tad out of your range. If you even close go here for a great meal be it socially or with clients.

I still stand by my opinion that they have the best prime rib in town. Blown away each and every time! Great environment, impressive bar selection, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, open kitchen and modern but rustic interior design. The service has always been quick and personable. Tip: If you’re short on time, go between 4:00 — 5:00 before the dinner rush. You have the entire kitchen’s full attention!

Every time I am in Omaha, I look forward to eating here. Today there were four of us and we started with the waitstaff recommendation, Lobster Spinach Queso appetizer that came with tortilla chips. There were a few tiny pieces of Lobster, which honestly if you didn’t look for them you would miss them entirely! I thought the Queso could have been warmer too. I ordered the shrimp and strawberry salad, but substituted their grilled salmon instead of shrimp and requested the salad be very lightly tossed in the balsamic dressing too. The salad came out soaked in salad dressing and the salmon was overcooked and so dry! What a huge disappointment indeed! While our original staff was more than accommodating with replenishing our beverages, the other staff who brought out our meals forgot to bring back requested condiments. I usually ask for dressing on the side, but since the wait staff person assured me she was writing it down as lightly dressed, I felt I would get a lightly dressed salad! I found my salad inedible with the protein dry and unacceptable! Today was not a great meal experience, but I’ll return and give them another try with the entrée I’ve had that I really like; the French dip!

Atmosphere was great and I liked the sort of rugged décor and wood stacks. Ordered the Lobster Spinach Queso app, AMAZING, especially w/the bread. Also the BLT salad, alright… could be delicious w/less dressing. The server asked about add-ons and I love steak salads, the tenderloin on it was good. So, I know I don’t like dressing on my salads but the garlic ranch(I think that’s what it was) sounded good… I didn’t say light, on the side, nothing; what was I thinking! I find most places will use way too much dressing to toss the salad, and this salad was drenched!

My Husband and I decided to give Firebirds a try on a Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm. Naturally it wasn’t very busy at all, so we got right in and seated. The décor was very nice and the kitchen was out in the open you where you could see it. I felt it was in a classy way and it didn’t take away from your experience. Our waiter was pleasant and did a good job making sure if we had any questions he was there to answer. The lunch menu is smaller and the prices are reduced from the dinner menu. However, you still have a good selection for lunch. I had the smokehouse burger with tater tots. It was fabulous! It was juicy and cooked the exact way I wanted it. The tater tots were perfectly crispy and I had their signature ranch with them and they were amazing! My husband had the French Dip and he loved it! His steak fries were very good as well! I was very impressed with the food and I would love to come back over the dinner hour and try the Prime Rib. The only downside that I saw, was that all the servers were on their phones while we were there. Now granted it was the middle of the afternoon, so it didn’t bother me that they were on their phones. It was that it was all in plain sight. They didn’t even bother to try and hide it. When we were waiting to order our server could be seen in the corner on his phone, while we were waiting. That was a little irritating. All in all our experience was good, and I plan on going back in the near future!

OMG the food here is absolutely awesome! I order the Colorado salad and the quesadillia. The salad was huge so I only could eat half. I took a few bites of the quesadillia and it was to die for. I’m definitely making a trip back to this spot!

I ordered a Blood Orange Negroni which the bartender warned was very strong(more accurately he skeptically asked if I liked strong drinks, because 5’3140lb women can’t possibly want strong drinks. Insert side eye). This signature drink was a seasonal selection, so the blood orange liqueur was a great addition to this negroni(pretend we are in California). I’m more of a whiskey/bourbon girl but this drink slightly converted my stance on gin. Would have liked a touch more Aperol but overall, a great choice. Also ordered the pretzels and Samuel Adams beer cheese. I’m not crazy about pretzels in general but I love beer cheese. This particular dish inspired the opposite feelings. I really liked how soft these pretzels were and they were a good size. They also weren’t drowned in salt. I didn’t really like the beer cheese, it gave me a weird aftertaste.

I know it’s a chain but this is one of our go to places. Consistent, friendly, efficient and good food at a good price. Crab cakes are better than usual, not slot of filler. Steaks are great off the grill and the ambience is nice. Go there for cocktail hour too as they have great specials. Outdoor patio is great as well.

1. Crab Cake Very appetizing, the mango custard was a little bit too sweet, but the garnish salad was gorgeous, best I have ever had in Omaha so far. 2. Sesame Encrusted Salmon***** The crust was crispy and perfectly seasoned, the tomato chunks added some acid to the salmon; the spinach was AMAZING, so thin, so crispy, not greasy at all, it almost tasted like seaweed, two thumbs up! 3. Bleu Cheese Filet The filet was deeply absorbed with mushroom… 4. Big Daddy Chocolate Cake Mmmm…WowJ9jksjdlfurp24ohmygod33hkhdf!@##$&***$%#$^!#$#~~~foogasm. A typical God’s plan… We wanted to go to Red Lobsters, but we were too starving to wait for 40 minutes to get a seat… so we took a shot at Firebirds and… we likey! By the way, it’s always nice to hear the waiter say something like«for the lady… for the gentleman…» What a perfect lunch for Valentine!

The ambiance was nice and homey and we went at a quiet time of the day for a late lunch so it wasn’t too packed. I had the buffalo chicken salad, which is one of those salads thats so good and bad for you but you still can’t help but order it. It was a but overdressed for my taste but I don’t like too much salad dressing in general. Overall pretty good but nothing super special, I would go again however if I was in the area.

The food was great and the service was wonderful. I need to give it only 3 stars though because I feel this restaurant is mis-categorized in terms of price. It’s not the most expensive steak I’ve ever eaten, but it was definitely a sticker-shock moment based on what I saw on their website, and in reviews on Unilocal,Google, etc. We ate outside on the patio, because the weather was so nice, but it was a little weird given that this restaurant is really just in the middle of a huge mall parking lot. They have a nice fireplace deal though. The steak itself was very good– the fact that it was cooked on a wood fire was evident and delicious– I could taste the applewood and maple in a way that both delighted and surprised! And it’s OK for kids. My kids enjoyed it, but we don’t usually do the kids’ menu thing. We didn’t get any nasty looks from other patrons or the staff(which seriously means a lot in terms of feeling welcomed– you’d be surprised), but don’t expect a video game console or a face-painting station. If you’re looking for a place where you could dress up a little for a date or you need to meet for a business dinner, I think you’ve found your spot. If you’re looking for an inexpensive date night out, or just a place to sit down for a quick bite with your kids as we did, you might want to keep looking.
