We stopped into to have lunch and like the other location the sandwiches were fantastic. With so many choices making a decision can be rather difficult due to the fact that everything is so good. The only major drawback is that if it is cold out the draft goes throughout the place whenever someone enters the establishment. Other than that, great food, good people and quick service.

Customer service was basically rude. No hello, no thank you. Just a «what do you want» attitude. Sandwiches are good, but not good enough to overcome the lack of manners. Asked for suggestion since it was first time here and the older guy actually seemed bothered. :/

I love sandwiches and this place makes me love them even more. Service has always been fast and pleasant. Prices are a little more than a standard sandwich shop but it’s worth every penny for what you get. My go to is the Urban Cowboy which has breaded chicken tender, bacon, turkey, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and CREAMCHEESE! Yes cream cheese. It’s absolutely amazing. This place is a must try for anyone.

Gandolfo’s is what I would consider pretty standard in terms of sandwiches. We tried two sandwiches: Pastrami and what was basically a Ruben. Neither sandwich I would say blew my mind away; typical salty deli sandwiches. That being said beyond the salt I feel like lacked in flavor and mine was really greasy.(the Ruben) The place was pretty clean and not too busy. The staff were nice although when asked for a menu suggestion the guy looked like a deer in the headlights. I’d come here again if someone wanted to try it, but it wouldn’t be my top choice.

Lunch time? Gandolfo’s! Makes Jimmy Johns and Subway seem like trash can scrapings. Friendly staff, excellent bread, tasty ingrdients, HUGE choice. I had the Broadway today: turkey, ham, lettuce, tomatoes, Russian dressing. Last week I had an egg salad sandwich. My friend likes the tuna salad best. I like what I’ve had already, but I’m eager to try other items, too. One complaint, though: the lettuce is iceberg instead of something of better quality /nutrition like romaine.

Big menu. Small flavor. Tried them a couple of times. Depends on who’s making the food. It can come out a winner or marginal at best. The big tuna salad is a keeper.

Lots of things to choose from. Kind of on the pricey side. Also not much room inside but the food was top knotch. I got the taxi driver highly recommend if you like spicy Things.

What more is there to say. It’s a New York deli. They have tons of different sandwiches, including veggie options. I went in the early evening and there was no one in there. I suspect they are busy around lunch time more so then after dinner. All in all, I would definitely go back.

Gandolfo’s is probably one of my top sandwich places. I’m so glad that the one here in Omaha is just as good as the one I tried elsewhere. They have a large selection of sandwiches and they even have Nathan’s Hot Dogs served a few different ways. This location had good fast service.

Ordered a bagel with eggs, the bagel was stale and dry, must have been at least a week old. Highly disappointed. I haven’t tried their lunch sandwiches, but for breakfast I definitely Don’t recommend this place.

This place is amazing, I think it gets over looked being across the street from big Fred’s. The food here is amazing and for a good price, I’ve always had great service. This place is a must!

The service was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was clean. I would give Gandolfo’s a 4.5 out of 5, if it were possible to give ratings in fractions. I thought the sandwich I had(the Meatball Marinara) was excellent, and of a very high quality. Granted, it was significantly more expensive than many other places one might get a sandwich, though, as well all know, in order to get good quality, we often have to pay for it. Oh, and the selection was tremendous. Seemed like they had just about any sandwich one could imagine. I definitely recommend paying Gandolfo’s New York Deli a visit to judge for yourself. You aren’t likely to be disappointed you did.

My favorites are the Big Apple and the Rocky Balboa so far! Have not tried much variety at this point since the menu is huge but very descriptive. This allows each individual to find sandwiches that appeal to ones personal taste. The hero rolls are awesome and I enjoy my sandwich hot. Many sandwiches can be prepared hot or cold which the menu displays this option. You can add a deli salad, soup, dessert, or chips, and a medium soda to any sandwich for $ 2.50 more. You can also order sandwiches deli style which will double the meat portion. Beware, the items in blue on the menu already have a double portion of meat. This is a must try! Gandolfo’s is one of my favorite fast-food chain sandwich shops. Many people probably haven’t heard of Gandolfo’s because most of their locations are on the West Coast and there are only two stores in Omaha(it’s funny because there are no stores actually in New York). The interior is tastefully decorated with New York décor and usually has ESPN tuned to their flat panel TV. Their menu and sandwich combinations are so extensive that it might take longer to decide what to order than to scarf down your meal. The vastness of their menu might turn of some patrons, but for me I enjoy the unique options they offer for sandwiches in an ordinarily dull sandwich shop city. Most of the sandwiches can either be prepared hot or cold. I have ordered many things on the menu but my two favorites I keep coming back to are the Philly Cream Cheese Steak and New Yorker, both roast beef sandwiches and served hot. The roast beef isn’t the most flavorful I’ve ever tasted but there is something about extras put on the sandwiches that make it great. Most of the sandwiches come with the standard lettuce, tomato, onion, but each one has its own set of additional ingredients. The cream cheese and butter on the Philly Cream Cheese Steak make it stand out from other cheese steaks you can get at fast food restaurants. On the New Yorker, the feta cheese and pepperoncinis give it a unique Greek/Italian/American taste. In case you just can’t make up your mind what type of sandwich you want, don’t be afraid to settle on one of their two types of Nathan’s Famous hotdogs. While I don’t eat hotdogs very often, when I do I prefer for it to be a Nathan’s, a New York City staple. If you decide to add a drink and side item, try one of their deli salads instead of the traditional chips or cookie. While the pasta salads aren’t anything special, they are still tasty and add variety to traditional fast food options. The prices are on par with most fast food sandwich shops in the area and the food is prepared in no more time than any other fast food restaurant. You might not have heard of Gandolfo’s because they don’t run constant commercials advertising freaky fast sandwiches or use sports stars to endorse $ 5 footlongs. But don’t let that dissuade you from checking out a place with a unique sandwich menu that will force you to come back again and again.

Food is decent but nothing special. The menu is overwhelming because there are so many different sandwich choices, but the several I’ve tried have never knocked my socks off. That being said expect to pay $ 10-$ 15 for a sandwich, chips and drink. The sandwiches aren’t especially plentiful with the meat and toppings either. With the amount they’re charging for a sandwich one would think they could hire some help. It’s usually one person making sandwiches and one person at the register. I have seen it with one person running the register and running to the back to make sandwiches too while people wait in line to place their order. Food: 3 stars Atmosphere: 3 stars Service: 1 star Value: 1 star

What a selection. Wow. HUGE menu. I went with one of the hot dogs. Not the Coney dog, the other one. Served on a huge hoagie and packed with relish, pickle, spicy mustard… Pretty tasty. And reasonable prices for what you get. Nothing mind-blowing, but nothing bad either. Just a good sandwich shop/deli with a good hot dog. I’d actually like to go back to try either a bagel… or a pastrami sandwich. Left with a good impression… I’d try it again.

This place is lucky that I don’t really care much about service when giving my star rating. The little kid at the counter acted like he was doing me a favor by taking my order. No greeting, no thank you and when he gave me my sandwich he said«Here’s your sandwich» and paused acting like he expected me to thank him. Other than that, what great food. It is expensive, so if your budget conscious, beware. I had the Rockefeller Reuben, with corned beef and spicy mustard on rye. Though, I did have the choice of pastrami and russian dressing. The sandwich was warm, though I would have preferred a more toasted rye. The corned beef was thinly sliced and fresh. The sauerkraut was fresh, crisp and not too overpowering. The interior is modern and clean looking, and very NYC-centric. There are TONS of sandwich options(it must have been over 50), all with hip names. Location is great at 120th& Pacific. I’ll definitely be back again, as I want to try the Reuben with russian dressing/pastrami, and a few other sandwiches.

I’d heard some really good things about Gandolfo’s so I think it was fair to say my expectations were heightened. Unfortunately they were having some kind of problem with their cash register yesterday which didn’t get things off on the right foot, considering we had to wait in line for 15 minutes… Yes, at a counter deli. Luckily their menu is totally overwhelming(wait…) so we had time to browse that at leisure. Then, after swiping and punching in my card number by hand, I was told it was expired. I checked my watch, but it’s definitely not 05⁄2012 yet so I don’t think that was the problem. Anyway I had to get out another card and do through the whole process again. By the time I’d finished paying my sandwich was already ready, so I guess that was the silver lining. At about $ 8 for a sandwich, chips and soda it seemed kind of expensive considering I got the ‘small’ sandwich, which ended up reminding me of a knockoff of a certain ‘freaky fast’ sandwich shop, with better bread but sup-par fillings. Something was off with my chips too, which I can’t really blame on Gandolofo’s since technically they were still a couple of weeks away from the expiration date… I guess I’ll have to take that up with Ms. Vickie. Anyway the whole thing left me feeling nonplussed and my friend to say, «I hate when a lunch is wasted, we should have gone to Bronco’s instead.»
