Just ok. Everything seems microwaved and floppy. My lettuce on my burger was old and crinkly with brown spots. This is one of those omaha spots that i feel like you love if you grew up here, but if you’re not from here you’re just not impressed. Service was fine, its the food that doesn’t thrill me. But maybe it was an off night. All three times I’ve been here.

My friend I visited last weekend for a drink and a bite. We had the grilled cheese, portabella veggie melt, fries, side salad and cup of soup. Everything was delicious. We really liked the grilled french bread that was used. The salad had a mix of fresh greens and delicious dressing. Loved it! Tried the location in West Omaha this week and was very disappointed. Totally worth the drive to Dundee!

I’m never let down. Every dish they make, I seem to really like. Try the reuben, caesar burger, white chicken chili and Caesar salad. Yum! Dont go to 132nd location.

Goldberg’s has been my favorite lunch spot for a few years now. I usually go about once a month with work friends for a burger. It’s usually pretty busy during h lunch hour but there’s always a seat. The service is very good. The servers are attentive and timely. I wish I could give a more well rounded review of their menu but I get the exact same thing every time. One thing I can recommend is the sweet potato fries. They are delicious and the sauce that comes with it is out of this world.

First time visiting here and my first thought is «trashy.» Listening to the bartender speak VERY poorly of a bartender that is soon to be starting to quite a few patrons. And she isn’t speaking quietly. I have no interest in giving any further business to an establishment that allows that kind of slander from current employees to customers.

Goldbergs is nothing fancy, and I’m never blown away, but that’s not why I come to a place like this. They offer reasonably priced, stick-to-the-ribs food in a no-frills, comfortable atmosphere. If you want a solid sandwich with outstanding fries(get the potato wedges, seriously), Goldbergs is hard to beat. Oh, and don’t pass on dessert. Their milkshakes and malts are really tasty, and their bread pudding is insanely good! I challenge you to try it and not want to buy a whole pan(which yes, they do sell…).

We enjoyed our meal at Goldbergs on a late Saturday evening. We got there around 9PM and found a spot outside. It was kind of fun sitting out on Dodge Street and watching the traffic go by, although it was pretty noisy. My husband ordered a burger and I settled on the grilled cheese. Both were really tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed the addition of spinach, tomato and red onion to mine. I would say the portion sizes were also very appropriate. Sometimes when you go to burger places the portions are just way too large, but this was perfect. I do you have to gripe about the fact that I ordered a side salad and there was a decent amount of wilted and slimy lettuce in there. I have absolutely no tolerance for that as it is very easy to spot and pick out. Other than that, our service was good and for our two entrées and a couple of drinks our bill was $ 32. What a deal!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Omaha. Hands down. I have been coming here for 9 years and the food has stayed consistently delicious. I have never had anything I didn’t like here. This is the epitome of Dundee because it’s definitely family friendly, the service is great, and the food is amazing. They’re closed on Sunday’s, but hey — awesome people need a day off too.

Going waaaay back, this place was called Goldbergs II, because the original is out west on Center. They also used to own a(then) popular local watering hole called The Chicago Bar. These folks have been in the bar and grill business for a long time, and it shows. They season the burgers very well. I like the mushroom burger, which comes with sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese. At $ 8 you expect a serious burger, and you get one here. We also get the potato wedges($ 6.95 for a healthy portion), which are served with a thick, ranch dip rather than just a dressing on the side. My husband’s go-to comfort food here is an order of wings($ 11.95). These are not super-meaty, or fall-off-the-bone tender, and I don’t even think they smell all that great, but when the spice of the cayenne sauce on the wings meets the bleu cheese dip, you have a good, old school flavor that just feels good to eat. Four stars instead of five because the mixed drinks here seem to lack consistency in strength and flavor depending upon who is bartending, and because the service is hit and miss here.

Good solid American food. I have never had a bad meal here. I finally had a chocolate dessert which was awesome but since I am mostly vegan now won’t have that again. They also have plenty of options for those who do not eat meat and good wine and beer also. They are not good for vegans.

The Bloody Mary is a classic and deserves its reputation. The interior of the building is also classic and it has changed little, if any, over the years. Goldberg’s is famous for its burgers and they are consistently good. I recall when they were bigger, but that’s inflation.(Thank you Federal Reserve.) Ownership has updated the menu and my daughter had the pretzel bun for her burger. She liked it and she has a very sophisticated palate. I had chicken fried chicken with bleu cheese. It was delicious! It was served at a hot temperature and that is uncommon these days. Nicely spiced and with fresh onions and tomatoes. The malt was big enough for two. And it had a good chocolate flavor and real malt in the malt. Cold and frozen in a metal container in which you can pour into a proper malt glass. Goldberg’s is a great Omaha tradition.

Cleanliness 4 Service 2 Food 3 Likelihood 3 1 – 5(5 Best!) 3.0 It was about this time last year that I was in for a visit. And that seems about right. I REALLLLLLY wish local restaurant owners would understand that if you are to survive and thrive you MUST provide fresh, made from scratch food, in a clean place, with wow service OR you run the risk of losing loyalty from locals, and then it is a free for all to ANY chain restaurant. We saw our server 4 times tonight: to take our order, bring one round of refills, remove dishes and drop of check. After explaining that I drink a lot, and they have small glasses, I asked for two teas and two waters. They ALLFOUR went empty twice. I ate the last ¼ of my meal with nothing to drink and she was no where to be found. The manager/owner was sitting at a table with friends/family. She walked by a few times and never checked in with us. She normally does not. It is the tone and culture. The salads where crisp, cold, and fresh. Thank you. The Club was good. Fries hot. Thank you. Chicken fried chicken was freezer to fryer product, hot. Mashed potatoes and gravy were warm at best. Very little gravy. Asparagus was overcooked. Onion rings were freezer to fryer product. The bill was $ 40. At Cheddar’s, the bill would have been half the price, twice the quantity of food, made from scratch, and better at service. Help me owners understand why I owe loyalty to sub standard food and service? Yes, I was a bit rough with this review. AND I also understand that sometimes we all need a wake up call. Goldbergs, for me, 20 years ago, was a go to place. I took clients there all the time. The quality of food and service is just not there. That is why it has been a year since I was there last.

I have been going to Goldbergs since I was a kid. I definitely have my go to entrees, but I’ve never been disappointed when trying something else out. I usually go for the pot roast dip, it isn’t the largest… but the meat and au jus are great and it hits the spot. If I am really hunger I might go for the pork tenderloin sandwich or the Caesar burger which has guac on it! And if I’m just splitting an appetizer with friends over drinks I go for the Super Nachos, huge plate with great toppings. Also, you can’t beat the patio when it’s nice out. Even with Dodge street right there it is where I like to meet up with friends for a bite.

I really like Goldberg’s buffalo wings. They are very meaty and I love their buffalo sauce.

Goldbergs has always been one of my favorite, go-to restaurants for a casual dinner or drinks with friends. We recently went here for a friend’s birthday party. The staff was very accommodating of our large group and happily pushed together several tables for us, split checks, and even stayed pleasant when we lingered a few minutes after closing. To start with I ordered a Ranger to drink. The have a great selection of beers and mixed drinks. The prices aren’t low, but they are comparable to similar restaurants in Omaha. I usually order one of their burgers because they are consistently good. I have tried their Western Burger and Caesar Burger in the past and really enjoyed both. On this visit I tried the Blackstone Burger which is topped with swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. I ordered it on a pretzel bun(because pretzel buns are delicious), but you can also get it on grilled rye bread. For my side I ordered the sweet potato fries with Goldberg’s dip because this combination is amazing and ruins all other sweet potato fries for me. This burger was incredible and a great and different flavor combination. If you are looking for someplace in the Dundee area to get a casual meal or drink, Goldbergs is a great option. The quality is consistent and, although it is usually pretty full, I don’t think I have ever had to wait for a table.

They put their sandwiches on pretzel buns! That alone makes me love them. Their fries are also great. This is a great place to go for a good quality meal in a cozy atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back here and try more food!

Really nice atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Island burger and it was very good but my only complaint was for an $ 8 burger there wasn’t a whole lot to the beef patty. The sweet potato fries were great!

Amazing pretzel bun and sweet potato fries! Goldbergs is a great place to go for a burger or sandwich that’s both tasty and relatively cheap. I normally order the BLT which always comes out toasty and never soggy. Sweet potato fries and wild ranch wedges are to die for, always fried perfectly. Service is always friendly and fast. The atmosphere is relaxed. One of the better old school burger places in Omaha.

Goldbergs has been a family go-to for years. It definitely plays up that Dundee charm so many people love, with historic photos on the wall and even a mural of the neighborhood. The food is good, and basically ramped-up versions of American favorites, i.e., burgers and fries. My favorites: –Goldburger on a pretzel bun –sweet potato fries –craisin-pecan chicken salad –pastrami melt –Reuben –bread pudding –brownie a’la mode Things I’d suggest avoiding(just not as good as the tried-and-true staples from above): –tacos, enchiladas –fish and chips
