Halo was great. I just moved here from Colorado, and Velva game me a great haircut that would have cost nearly twice as much at my regular place in CO. Nice atmosphere and friendly people. I’ll definitely be going to Halo again. Thanks!

I don’t know about any other stylists at Halo, but DON’T get your hair colored with Brittany. I abstained from dying my hair for over 2 years, it was natural and ready to rock with an unwashed head especially for the occasion. I picked out a color from the palate, and still ended up a redhead blonde(yeah, that horrible looking reddish blonde) when I *should* have ended up with a nice light brown color.(I’m naturally a dark brown) Ugh. She offered to re-do it with another color but I didn’t want to sit there for another 2 hours and damage my hair to an irreversible level.

Go the worst haircut of my life here. I asked the guy to cut it so it would lay flat and be even and the guy gave me layers to make my hair poof out. He also used a razor to cut my hair which hurt like hell and I didn’t ask for and then he charged me 10 bucks extra for it. I’ve gotten my hair cut by Mary which was mildly better but still not what I wanted. The hairstylists at this place cut your hair how they want to and don’t listen to what the client wants. Don’t go here!

I tried Halo Studios for a haircut for the firs time. Appearance wise, it has a chic/trendy/indie vibe and an awesome design layout. The staff is incredibly friendly, warm, and hospitable. However, that is where the positives end in my experience. In the end, I received the worst haircut I have ever gotten. I am a college-aged male and wanted a simple haircut with buzzed sides and a little off the top with scissors. I concede that my hair is not the easiest to cut; however, for $ 25, I expect it to be better than Great Clips or Super Cuts. Just the opposite happened, it was **worse** than any of my haircuts at Great Clips or Super Cuts or at home from my mom when I was younger. I have pretty thick hair and my barber decided to use thinning shears to lessen the volume up top. She did a little bit too much and my head looks heavy down at the sides and light up top. I look like I am balding from the top of my head. Also, the lengths were obviously uneven and asymmetrical. I’m not sure if your experience will be the same, but my haircut really sucks. (copy and pasted from Google. I just want to reach as many people as possible and tell them my experiences)

I’ve been going to Halo for almost a year now, and absolutely love them! The salon has a welcoming(and slightly funky/hip) vibe, and someone always says hello when you walk in. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Mary does a great job cutting and coloring my hair. She really listens to what I want, and I always walk out happy. After years of trying to find a stylist who fits me, I’m hooked. I even go every 6 weeks or so like you’re supposed to(something I’ve never done before)! I’ve recommended her to several friends, who have also all been very happy with their experiences.

I’ve been lucky to hair my hair cut by almost all of the stylists at Halo(except Leann) they all do a superior job, I’m sure Leann does a great job too:) currently going to Jeremiah, it always turns out really good! cute shop.

Gosh, I am always trying to find a salon and stylist. This place is in Dundee, between the Dell and Trovatos. It has a funky feel and seems just right. I was lucky enough to find Mary who gave my daughter and I both great haircuts. Can’t wait to see her again!
