We are never disappointed when we eat here. The service is great and the food is always very good. Their coffee is awesome. A variety of choices on the menu is sure to please everyone. We enjoy coming here!

Two and a half stars is probably more like it. It is sad when my favorite thing at breakfast is the coffee and I don’t really consider myself a coffee drinker. They do have great coffee here though, and if you ask them, or you have a great server you don’t have to ask, they will put it in a to go cup for you. My breakfast was overall flavorless. Our server was OK. We have been here many times and overall she was not as good as normal. We have definitely strayed away from coming here as much as we used to, opting to go to better breakfast places, even if they are farther away. This visit solidified my choice to continue to do that.

First time in Omaha and looking for a good breakfast, decide to try Jimmys Egg. Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, clean restroom, and the food was pretty tasty. It’s on par with places like Village Inn and such.

Food was good enough. Waitress had no idea was gluten was so was I said I had gluten issues, I got a «deer in the headlights» look. I also ordered the Mexican skillet that had spicy sauce. I ordered with spicy sauce on the side, it still came on top. Other than that, it’s what you would expect from a typical breakfast diner

I like these little breakfast chains that have been popping up. Jimmys egg is really good, but doesn’t really separate itself from the others. Thsts not necessarily a bad thing, you know what your getting before you order. No surprises. Clean restaurant and nice staff.

I and my kid, stopped in for Labor Day breakfast. I was so disappointed. I ordered the tall stack of pancakes and a side of fruit. The coffee was good, but once the plates arrived, I buttered and syrup my cakes and they were doughy and the fruit was room temp. And had a overripeness fuzzy feeling in my mouth. How can you go wrong with the most simplest breakfast. There was no line, which some time ago, there would be a line to get in or the place was full, well, it wasn’t full. There food is not consistent. Pancakes need some respect!

I had an excellent experience with the service of Jackie, the food, the environment as a whole. I enjoyed the Big Jim Omelette(10 items) you can put into this 5 egg meal. Fresh fruit and their homemade Raisin Toast goes great with cream cheese. I rarely eat bacon but decided to enjoy 2 slices of delight. Whenever I’m in the area, I would stop in again.

Jimmy’s Egg is one of my top breakfast places in town. Love this location as it is really close to where I live. For the most part I love the staff here,(always a few bad eggs in every joint, no pun intended). we usually let my son pick the seat and I always try to sway him into sitting in certain areas where the servers that we love are working. Only one time my son and I were ignored going in and waited over 20 minutes for someone to even ask us if we wanted drinks, I think that was because there was some confusion on who was serving which section, it was early and some of the staff just got there. I usually order one of two things, Basic breakfast with sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and the bacon cheddar pancakes, Sausage patties are fantastic they are fairly mild and not as greasy as most places are. Eggs are eggs cooked right taste great. hashbrowns are hit and miss so I end up dumping a bunch of the sauce that comes on their angry burrito on them to get them to have some flavor.(don’t know how to spell the sauce but its spicy goodness). They just recently changed the menu up so you can add the specialty pancakes to that meal, I love the bacon cheddar pancakes. small bits of bacon and cheddar which is not too overpowering. I probably wouldn’t get those pancakes by themselves but are great as a side. My son always pick the chicken strips and fries. You can get lunch for breakfast if you want, or breakfast for lunch. They close at 2pm. The chicken strips are your standard little kid staple but he seems to like them. The prices are reasonable for what you get, you can find something cheap on the menu and avoid those fast food nasty places on that street and get better quality food and better service. Now I been to a few different locations in town and service and food are similar at most locations. This location and the one on dodge are my favorite.

This is a good breakfast/lunch restaurant. I have not had any complaints. I think the breakfast here is good, haven’t tried there lunch menu yet. There is a mixed crowd of patrons here. Not having a hostess can make it easy to be overlooked by a server when it gets busy. If you want a quick bite to eat and you don’t want to deal with fast food chains breakfast, this would definitely be a good place of choice.

Service is great. Enjoyed the morning breakfast with my husband with their friendly service and tasty food. We’ll come back here again sometime. :)

Great place for a casual breakfast or brunch and a step up from a greasy spoon diner. Relaxed atmosphere and a HUGE menu with very good selection. I like the fact they offer complimentary cups of coffee with refills. My husband had a spicy skillet(eggs and hash browns) and enjoyed his cinnamon toast as well. I had a veggie omelette with pancakes. I was pleasantly surprised at the fact they were larger than expected, as they were described as «dollar size,» so I was thinking silver dollar size but they were definitely filling! Nice casual décor and a diner-style counter available

Service is good. The staff is very attentive. The food is just ok. I think their food is a little on the bland side but they do give you decent sized portions. Not a place I normally care to go to. Definitely had better.

I left Jimmy’s egg hungry because I couldn’t eat. The wait staff was very good and attentive but the kitchen staff were HORRIBLE. I know this because I sat right by their open face kitchen. I ordered the«almost healthy skillet» without turkey bacon because I am a vegetarian. When it got to the table it had turkey sausage on it, the second the waitress put the plate down she could tell there was sausage on it and said she was sorry so she took it back to the kitchen to correct the mistake. As I mentioned we sat by the open face kitchen and as a bonus, I speak Spanish so I could understand everything that was being said between the people in the kitchen. The waitress told them to correct the mistake and they gave her some back talk trying to say it was her fault but eventually I got another plate of food(or so I thought). I immediately notice it has a lot of cheese on it but figured it was just because I asked for no meat. After a few bites I found hunks of turkey sausage and realized THEYGAVEMETHESAMEPLATEOFFOOD I HADJUSTSENTBACK just covered in cheese to hide the sausage. I told the waitress that someone needed to be spoken to about this and that I didn’t want another plate so just take it off the tab. That’s when I overheard the the kitchen staff talking about me and calling me «Llorona» or in other words, calling me a cry baby. I won’t be going back to jimmys egg and if you have dietary restriction, are a vegetarian or have religious beliefs that affect what you eat I would avoid this location.

First-time visit today, service was okay and food was reasonably good. A little bit pricey for breakfast food.

Gravy was to die for! Food tasted homemade, and that’s a good thing! I’m pretty sure I over-ate but I didn’t encounter that terrible bloated feeling I do at other restaurants. Definitely recommend– great alternative for Dennys and IHOP.

I really wanted to give this place more stars but I will have to come back for that to happen. A buddy and myself went here for breakfast around 10AM and it was fairly busy. Mostly a bunch of old people(which isn’t a problem) but a few people around our age. They had a nice kind of diner style bar like you see people in the movies eating breakfast and drinking coffee at. Now we sat down and waited for over 20 minutes and didn’t even have coffee yet. 25 minutes and we decided to go stand near the group of 4 – 5 waitresses who were standing around chatting. They finally decided that we were worth serving I guess. I ordered their classic breakfast with corned beef, bacon, hash browns, eggs over easy, biscuits and gravy. I will say, the food was outstanding. I really didn’t need to add any salt or pepper(I did just because I like that…) and everything was cooked perfect. Prices were reasonable for the size of the meal, I couldn’t even finish the entire thing. Maybe next time if I come back and get service right away I will add a star or two. I really would like to come back, but I fear I may end up starving to death or falling asleep before I have any food or coffee.

For quick in and out breakfast food, my husband and I always choose Jimmy’s Egg. They have and average breakfast menu with all of the staples, but they also have some really unique menu items. They have sweet potato pancakes that I absolutely love, I am sure they are still super fattening, but I always feel healthy when I eat them. They also have bacon cheddar pancakes that are the best concoction ever! My favorite thing about Jimmy’s egg is that they have«Lighter side» menu that offers a ton of delicious options that are more on the healthy side. If you go and aren’t extremely hungry, I suggest you try the Skinny Jimmy. It is low-fat vanilla yogurt served with strawberries, cantaloupe, granola, and a toasted english muffin, just enough to fill you up without totally stuffing you. They service is always great at this location and we have never had a bad experience.

The breakfast was ok, but for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast food it was disappointing. I asked if the corned beef hash was homemade and I was told it came from a can. I chose the 2 eggs with 2 pork chops. I ordered the eggs over medium, they were over easy and the pork chops were extremely small and tasteless. I would not return.

Super breakfast! I had the«Almost Healthy Scramble» and it was. Egg whites, mushrooms, spinach, turkey sausage and mozzarella cheese served over home fries. The bacon was perfect, nice wide pieces, good and meaty with just the right amount of crisp. The service was top notch, very attentive and friendly. There were so many choices on the menu… I’m guessing I’ll have to go back. The only negative was the bowl with the scramble was served sitting on a plate and every time I took a bite the bowl rattled against the plate. :)
