He is honest and direct — doesn’t sugar coat the facts, but genuinely cares about you getting back to your life with no pain.
My husband had his knee replaced in 2010; I had my hip replaced in 2012. Both of us have recovered beautifully. No complications with surgery and the real tell-​tale of a great surgeon (in my opinion) is the scar that is left when all is said and done. For both of us, the scars are barely visible. I have seen other people’s scars at the gym and they look like railroad tracks. And, not surprisingly, Dr. Konigsberg was NOT their surgeon.
Another indicator for me was the pain factor. Friends of mine have had joint replacements and complained about how much pain they had post surgery. The first contact with me after surgery, I stunned the nurse when I told her I had no pain. While I had some pain medication, I didn’t push the pain button very much at all.
I highly recommend Dr. Konigsberg to anyone needing a good hip/​knee orthopedic surgeon!!!
