Wow what amazing service! I had the galbi. I am off of rice :(so they substituted cabbage leaves instead! I came at the right time and they were only one other group there. Lena was awesome! She even gave me the remote to the DirecTV! The galbi and the Korean pancakes were my favourites tonight. Someday I will get the dried shrimp again. I can only hope. Best service I have had in a long time. The cook even came out and said hello and she asked how dinner was. Galbi or korean short ribs is a must have during the summer or anytime. My other favourite is the stir-fry squid. I hope Lena keeps the nice tip I gave her. This is the best Korean food in the Metro area.

We waited a long time to get our food. We arrived at 7:15pm and didn’t get our food until 7:55pm. What it worse was that it was very hot in there. I felt bad for the 2 waitresses who were running around looking overworked and sweaty. :(The good thing was they were opened late on a Sunday evening. Food just comes out very slow. The Kalbi was okay. The kimchee fried rice was okay too. Our favorite dish was the beef Bulgolgi. Our second time ordering it! Would go back to try other things but if the wait is super long again, we may not be returning.

Unless you truly did me wrong and I hated your food I’d give a restaurant a really bad rating. But today was interesting. I was craving some Korean food badly and my favorite Korean restaurant was in the process of moving and the other restaurant that I also liked was closed too so I was in the search of possibly a new favorite. Sadly this hope did not come true today. I ordered a kimchi fried rice and a Bibimbop. My friend ordered a chicken bulgogi. I was super excited to eat the dishes we got. I found that the staff in the front were friendly. Nothing wrong with them. But the food was the problem. Kimchi fried rice– I was most excited about this one but was sadly disappointed in the blandness of the dish. It was oily as well. I believe the chef was thinking the kimchi was already salty and that it was good enough to compensate for the bland egg and rice but no. The rice portion was quite bland lacking salt or soy sauce. Overall not terrible but not a favorite here. Bibimbop– This dish actually made me upset. Initially upon inspection I thought it was tons of food, sure. But when I lifted the egg up there was a tiny tiny tiny amount of meat. Are you kidding me?! I literally said that out loud. Sure, it was tasty but the amount of meat to the rest of the dish was so sad and barely any gochujang! :/ My friend said she was in middle when it came to her chicken bulgogi. It was tasty, not the best she’s ever had but also she mentioned it was a small portion for the price. She felt like it was too pricey as well. Price is the main thing here. It just seems to be overpriced for what we actually get. I was sad that rice wasn’t more flavorful and that I had so few pieces of meat for my Bibimbop. I also cannot imagine dining in this restaurant either because it was so hot just even waiting for our to go orders. For me, I think I’ve found my favorite Korean restaurants so I’m just going to stick with them.

I lived in Houston’s Korea-town for five years before moving to Omaha. At this point, Korean food is comfort food. After feeling homesick, I visited this establishment with the hope of filling the nostalgic gap in my stomach. The menu was short, but had a medium amount of options. All of our favorites were here — kimbap, bibimbap, scallion pancake, and a few others. And then I looked at the prices. Kimbap that costs more than $ 10?! What kinda place is this? I could get — large beef kimbap for $ 2 back in Houston! So we bit the bullet and ordered what we wanted. Overpriced, but hopefully worth every penny. I was able to order my barley tea — so that made me feel assured about its authenticity. We ordered the scallion pancake for an appetizer. It was very, very greasy! So greasy! And was mostly scallion and very little pancake. Yucky! Then our entrees came. But where were the side dishes(panchan)?! We waited and waited, and then asked the server if they had panchan. She looked at us as if she was confused. «Panch? No, we do not have panch.» And pointed to the drinks on the menu. Aish. After explaining that we were talking about side dishes and not beverages, she finally brought out very small portions of side dishes — even the kimchi was a small portion. Oh boy. The entrees were not that great. Everything was oily and not very flavorful. The kimchi was very salty and not spicy at all. I normally love kimchi bibimbap — and I hated it here. We were very disappointed in this place. It was very pricy and the food wasn’t good. They almost skipped out on the panchan all together. :(

Really wanted to like this place but it had too many strikes against it. Since we had never been, we were talking with the server try to figure out what to order. Suddenly, a crabby, bent old woman came busting out of the kitchen, babbling in native language. Apparently she was telling her help that the restaurant would be closing early. I asked what time it was and it was 8.40. The sign outside the door said open to 10.30 on Fridays. I used to really like Kimson korean grill off 76th Dodge, so I have a bit of experience with the food. This place was nothing like that. Ok. Long story short. It was hotter than crap inside there, the menu is very limited, we ordered beef bugogi? for 2 and the mean old woman brought out this hokey pokey grill with our meat upon it. She lit up the grill and walked away, giving no explanation of how to tend it. So it’s already hot as hell and then I got this flaming thing in my face… WTF? That meat was ok tasting, but most of the garnishes were just disgusting. Things like fishy paste, dried shrimp shells and other nasty jizz. We also got kimchee fried rice.(Terrible) Our server, once again, was terrific. But I will not return.

Great place and cheaper than your normal Asian place around that around. Food, service, music, customers and everything else is great.

I’ve been here twice now, and the food here is delicious. So far I’ve had the Beef Bulgogi and tried a little bit of the Chicken Bulgogi. The staff is friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean, I’ll definitely be back here to try more things. I saw some other people enjoying soup, so I might try that next.

This place is a hole in the wall gem! I’ve been coming here for years and am never disappointed with their food. They are usually short staffed so getting some service can take some time. But I’m a foodie and the food satisfies me always. I can sacrifice the lack of service for amazing food!

A no frills restaurant that remind me of some of the places I visited when in Korea. Appetizer was good with fresh crispy vegetables wrapped With rice cooked perfectly and held tightly with the seaweed wrap. Had the spicy chicken stew. Just enough spice to give a little tingle and warm up the insides. Very flavorful. Kimchee fresh and crisp. This is definitely at the top of my list. I look forward to returning often to try the rest of the menu. Definitely the worth the trip.

DELICIOUS!!! We ordered Pork Bulgolgi($ 11.99) and the classic Korean dish, Bibimbap(10.99). I have pictures of them as well. And we had 6 korean appetizers called ban chan. You don’t have to order it, they give it you with your meal. They include eggplant, kimchi, anchovies, etc. I was so satisfied with the meal and didn’t feel gross like I would eating at a steakhouse. Next time I go I want to order the Beef Bulgolgi for two(24.99) which includes a grill on your table! Looked cool. The staff was very friendly. It’s a quiet place and was hidden at the end of the plaza. I will definitely go back if I’m in Omaha! Great place dessert is Thirst-Tea which has the best bubble/boba tea!

All I can say is wow. Coming from Hawaii and eating Korean food my whole life, I thought I knew what great Korean food tastes like. I was wrong. This place is where grandma cooks the most authentic, delicious Korean cuisine. Wow. A must try. Looks inconspicuous on the outside, but the food is unbelievable. If I could give it ten stars I would.

First time trying Korean Bbq and this place did not disappoint! The server was friendly and helpful, we ordered the bulgogi for 2 with an extra serving of meat for 3 adults and 1 child. The food was more than enough, had the kimchi soup on the side and it was delicious! Definitely look forward to trying something new the next time we visit Omaha!

I had a feeling this was going to be good when we walked in and the place was so busy. We had a large amount of food and loved the spiciness of it! I would definitely go back for more. You gotta try the green onion Korean pancake! The service was quick even though there was a large crowd and the server was very attentive to our needs.

Hands-down definitely the best Korean food Omaha has to offer. Their bonchon(small appetizer type pickled dishes like Kim chee) dishes are authentic and delicious. There aren’t a lot of servers here so things will hum at a moderately slow to normal pace– worse with large parties but should be ok with a group of 6 or less. Location wise they’re very easy to find off of L St. and 96th in the strip mall. Decorations…pretty bare but they do have a karaōke machine for your enjoyment which is a lot of fun. The music is fairly updated in the book for selection. Food-awesome! All the appetizers and entrees I sampled were fantastic. I ESP liked the bi bim bop and Galbi soup. They also have beers and souju for liquor and wine. Definitely somewhere you need to check out for your Korean fix. It’s a little on the pricer end but I am willing to pay more for authenticity.

Ahhhh-mazing! First — one lovely waitress who was very busy but super nice! Be prepared to have it take a small bit more than a normal chain restaurant due to this BUT relax, enjoy — food is worth it. Started with fried dumplings, which were standard followed with a great kimchi pancake(get it). Had the tofu/veggie soup(#15). Bulgogi for two — bbq fried at the table. All sides were fresh and amazing. Not too spicy, not too salty. Left feeling satisfied but not busting at the seam. Marinade made for an amazing beef! I wish they had a variety plate or a way to sample different meats. Overall this is a great, small restaurant! Take the couple of extra minutes and enjoy one of the only Korean restaurants in Omaha!

In my opinion Korea King has the best Korean foods that you can find in Omaha. They have a decent food selection and average prices. The foods are well prepared and marinated. The service has gotten a lot faster than before because they actually have a server(the chef used to do everything before). The amount of food is not very big so I can see that as a downfall for people who have big appetite and want more for their money. However the foods are well prepared and tasty. My favorites are the soon tofu chigae, gal bi and pork bulgogi. If you like pork belly and grill, I would highly suggest the Samgyeopsal. This can serve two persons and comes with a free soup(kimchi or korean miso). They also provide green leaf for meat wraps and side dishes, which is so wonderful If you are a vegetarian I would recommend the bimbimpap. This comes with a fried egg but you can opt it out. Very delicious and healthy rice bowl mixed with various veggies in the hot stone bowl.

Went here on a Friday night… service was good… we had a party of only 2 but there was a party of like 8 ahead of us who had already been sat down so service was a lil slow… however the the waiter was a very nice guy! The owners son actually and he gave us the onion pancake on the house! Even though they were a lil soggy :/i had the spicy pork bulgogi which was excellent! All of the side dishes were yummy. how ever my bulgogi was a lil over salted. this was my first time and definitely not my last. there are still a few more korean joints i need to check out here in omaha :-)

Reasonable Korean food by Omaha standards. We had the beef bulgogi and Gal-bi(Korean short ribs). Both were well done and I enjoyed the side dishes as well(potatoes, kim-chi, etc). Korean Grill offers a bit more in terms of portion sizing and is a bit better in terms of value(cost). That being said, Korea King is a bit more fresh since the food is made to order instead of pre-made like Korean Grill. Overall, Korea King is reasonably priced and worth a visit. In my opinion, both are better than Maru, which is very overpriced.

Another first time for me. Didn’t know this place existed until i Unilocaled Korean by my office. First impressions. A little hard to find, located at the end of strip mall. They were redoing the front of the mall so signage was sparse. Décor was sparse also and it had the obligatory karaōke machine set up. lol Ordered the bimimbap and friend hat the bulgogi. Place was empty so service was good. Food was solid but not great. The side dishes were extremely good with some Korean options i rarely see(some sort of marinated pickled potato). Prices were reasonable and portions were of decent size. Conclusion… if you are looking for Korean, stop on by.
