Not sure what the draw is here. Wish I could give it zero stars. Dirty. Dark. Skanky. Never got waited on or said hello to. Too many great places in this town with great service and food.

If you’re looking for a neighborhood bar with good eats then this is your place. However, if you like great service to accompany your food then this is not the place for you. The service at this place is severely lacking. Two bartenders who double as servers on a Friday night is unheard of for most establishments. This place fills up quickly during their weekday happy hour(4 – 7PM) and they could really use more staff. It’s not unusual to sit unnoticed for 10 – 15 mins and there have been times where I just go to the bar to get a drink because I know I won’t be getting one anytime soon at my table. It’s pretty standard to be given your food and never see the server again, we sat with greasy burgers and no napkins one night. However the food certainly makes up for their lack of service. The food is excellent! My best friend raved about the buffalo chicken sandwich and even went as far as saying it was way better than the one she loves at a local sports bar. The chicken wings are delicious with lots of sauce choices. My husband absolutely loves the 50⁄50 burger(50% ground beef 50% ground bacon). I am a huge fan of their regular and pulled pork nachos, full plate of chips smothered in toppings and melted cheese. You can definitely split the nachos and have more than enough. The food continues to bring me back to this place after all these years.

I moved to a new location at the place I work and it so happens to be across the street from lighthouse so I decided to drop in and give it a shot. Cool chill atmosphere. I certainly would not call it a «dive» bar because in my opinion that’s the description of a place that is good but not very well kept inside. Lighthouse doesn’t fit that bill in my opinion, it’s nicer inside with plenty of TVs and what not. The server I worked with was very nice. I don’t recall her name but she was a little shorter with short blonde hair. She was very polite and the other server seemed nice too. For happy hour you can’t beat $ 435oz mugs of beer at a local watering hole. I am very excited to try the wings as I have heard good things and I LOVE wings. I will make sure to edit this review when I stop in shortly for food. All in all I’m impressed and I will be back soon. Edit: Came back for the wings last night because I was craving them so bad. Result? Very good. I got the char buffed for an extra dollar and for a sauce I got the hot with an extra side of hot and a side of the insane cause I love heat. The flavor was great and so was the chicken. I will definitely be back!

One of my favorite bar in west O. This place has great happy hour. It really makes me happy:) Their huge beer is only $ 3 and wings are great. Service could get little slow when it’s busy but I can just hang out with my beer so no problem. Not a fancy bar, but that’s why I like it. Owner is nice guy too.

Alright so we got some amazing bartenders the girls at this bar always have a smile and I don’t know how they handle so many people all at once specially during Super Bowl we had a lady that was there all by herself but always made sure out cups were full and of course she made conversation with us most of the time I will not complain other then their bathrooms could be updated but other then that food is good and staff is great! Their margaritas are great and they have An amazing happy hour I say if you have not tried this place at least give it a taste their drinks are well done and you get enough liquor for your buck!

Moved into the area and decided to give this place a shot. The atmosphere is that of a typical neighborhood bar which is exactly what I like. I would say the only downside so far has been the service. They seem to be short staffed and are always busy so I can’t fault them to much. Their food and drinks however is what will keep bringing me back. The first thing I have had there was their chef special which was a burger that consisted of 50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon… yes BACON! It was one of the best burgers I have had in the Omaha area. They also have $ 3 long islands all day every day. As far as I know you can’t get that anywhere else in town. Will probably end up being a regular here.

Best wings and happy hour in town by far. Anyone else that says different, doesn’t know their ass from their elbow…

Lighthouse is one of those bars in west Omaha I feel like a lot of people don’t know about(although I could be wrong). However, if people tried the pizza and wings, they would be sure to go back again! I went with a group of 5 people on New Years Day to watch the bowl games. It’s a quaint, typical-looking sports bar with tables, dart boards, and tvs everywhere. It was perfect. They had fantastic beer specials($ 4 for domestic giant mugs) as well as a phenomenal selection of other great apps, pizzas, entrees and much more. Oh, if you love wings, get them char-buffed! AMAZING.

Let’s start this off the right way with the positives — since everyone knows a fair and balanced review is beneficial for all those who read this(trust me I watch Fox News). My boyfriend and I, much like the rest of humanity, get hungry from time to time. This night was one of those times, and pizza was on our minds and in our hearts. So after weighing many fine dining establishments we finally landed on Lighthouse. «Hey, I bet Lighthouse will be ; he exclaimed. «I bet you’re right, you usually are,» I replied. And so we went, on the journey of a lifetime to fulfill our desire of what could be the greatest experience in our youngish lives. We immediately found VIP parking and couldn’t wait for the VIP treatment we were about to get inside. Scurrying as fast as our rumbling tummies would allow, we were about to enter heaven on earth. Well that about concludes the positive section… My boyfriend about ripped the door off its hinges due to the combination of hunger and excitement. We conducted a few head swivels to scope out the joint, and turned to gaze at one another to give our nod of approval. We plopped down at one of the many vacant tables and anxiously awaited our server. And waited. And waited. Then we waited. After waiting, we waited a bit more. Finally, we took it upon ourselves and brought our positive attitudes up to the bar to try and sneak in an order prior to the conclusion of happy hour. Unfortunately, their was only one server/bartender who we could only deduct also doubled as the cook, busser, janitor, hostess, bouncer. She was too busy with her other five individuals sipping on libations to notice us but luckily we flailed our arms long enough to catch her peripheral vision. We put in our order and sat down to salivate for what we assumed would be about 15 minutes until our food would arrive. My boyfriend absolutely could not wait until his two happy hour personal pizzas got delivered, but alas, he did have to wait. Around 45 minutes give or take later, the superwoman finally appeared with our food. She set down my wings and what looked like 2 hockey pucks for my boyfriend. Granted, those happy hour pizzas were only $ 5 but he’d rather buy actual hockey pucks for that price to display in his bar at home than these ‘pizzas’. To summarize: Pros: good parking spot Cons: mediocre service, sub par happy hour, and the smallest pizza that has ever existed.

If you’re looking for a place for happy hour and no food, this is the place to go. If you’re looking withto get food, go elsewhere. Took 45 minutes for them to take our order(after we said something). Food may be good, but I am definitely not impressed the service. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this has happened. Will not come back to eat

Simply the best gizzards in town in my opinion. The curds disappointed(but just were my style) but the gizzards rocked both times I have been and the remaining menu items looked wonderful too. Lighthouse has nightly food specials that appear to bar and grill crowd as well as those seeking their classic favorites. I did chuckle when told this was a dive bar — it isn’t but if the moniker is good, I will play along.

Yes, it is the proverbial«hole in the wall» and I am always there to late to get food. But the drink prices are great and the bartenders know their stuff. Every time I walk in I feel cozy, or maybe that’s the alcohol talking. See you Friday nights!

My friend and I went there to watch the Nebraska bowl game. We waited 15 minutes to get a beer, and had to wait until half time to even order. Only two working for the bowl game? Seemed as though they were a little under-prepared. We ordered nachos and fries. The fries were wonderful, the nacho’s however, were extremely soggy and just horrible. It’s not the worst experience, but it definitely puts a damper on my view of this place.

Yikes! This lighthouse will only lead you to bad service and a crappy, expensive drink(a Blue Moon and cocktail was $ 11.75!).

This place is sticky. That’s the best word I can think to describe it. It might be the stickiest bar I’ve ever been in. The beer selection is terrible, the service is abysmal, the only reason I gave it 3 stars is my heart loves karaōke. They have it every Saturday night(that I know of), and it’s the only saving grace. I mean, it’s a strip mall bar next to a daycare and it’s brimming with douchebags most of the time. But karaōke! And it’s fairly close to where I live.

Great wings! Though, can’t say much about anything else… The owner could clearly make mannny improvements that simple common sense should compel him to make. I don’t know, maybe his mom and dad helped him buy the bar, and he just wants to have a place for his buddies to visit and hang out at, and really doesn’t need the money, or care to make more??? If that isn’t the case, he would appear to be a bit clueless. He should start by reading customer feedback, and then address the obvious things that could easily be improved upon … duhhhhh…

Been here on a few occasions with a buddy of mine who hangs out here very frequently. I gotta say that the happy hour prices are very good and the food is very good. Great burgers and great wings. Burgers taste practically homemade on my grill. This is a dive bar so perhaps cleanliness and friendliness are not their top priorities. But thought it could be a lot cleaner, such as the floors, chairs, bar tops, etc… I noticed that bev naps or napkins are not freely available and that you have to ask for them… that seems odd to me. The owner never said anything to us and apparently he does not say much to my buddy who goes there a lot. Not to say its right or wrong but it looks like the owner and staff spends much of their time conversing with just a couple of regulars and don’t give the same attention to other guests around the bar. Despite any negatives, this dive bar is probably one of the better dive bars that I have ever been to and would recommend their happy hour to almost anyone.

This is probably my favorite dive bar in Omaha and not just because it’s practically in my neighborhood and I can walk home if need be. Great place to people watch, huge rectangular bar that is completely open on all sides, many tvs. On Saturday nights they have Karaōke which is always entertaining, and the service is great – awesome bartenders. Only downfall is that mixed drinks and shots can get pricey.

I’m not here to tell you this isn’t a hole in the wall dive bar. It is. The surprising fact to be gleaned; ** amazing wings** –and by that I mean, some of the best, most flavorful, succulent chicken wings I have ever had. –awesome sauce options(mild is pretty spicy so I wouldn’t explore the«spicy» unless your into that) –quality meat that brings as much to the table as the sauce. –charred option where the wings are thrown on the grill after being fried(best invention) Long Island ice tea was sweet and crowd was mediocre but great dart setup and plenty of Large TVs to watch football on.
