Part 2: Had the surgery on my left eye 9 days ago. Dr. John Liu did the lens removal and implant. The post-op on the following day, with a still foggy lens pulled a strong 20 – 30 on the chart. I followed all instructions precisely. One week later, the right eye was done. Post-op the next day read 20 – 30 with my right eye and for the first time in my entire life I read the very bottom line on the chart with my left eye. Yes, 20 – 20 indeed. The examining doctor said it would continue to improve, along with my right eye. Two days after the right side surgery, my vision is incredible… just incredible. The bad, scary parts? They existed only in my mind. No discomfort at all during surgery. None, zero. Some post-op feeling of a bit of sand in the eye which Tylenol cured in 30 minutes. Odd circles around the point of focus for two days but vision dramatically improves each day. Waking up in the morning, looking out of my window I see every leaf on the tree in the back yard and beyond without glasses. Just follow all instructions perfectly as I do and you should do well… and be as pleased as I am… oh yes, I opted for torx lenses to correct my astigmatism as well. Nice seeing tiny perfect stars in the night sky. Their staff is friendly and extremely supportive. They are available by phone every day, and reach out to you to be sure you understand everything about the process from beginning to end. Would choose them again and highly recommend them. Finally…I walked in the rain and looked straight ahead. There was no raindrops splashed across my lenses… it is wonderful!

I had LASIK surgery done here a few weeks ago, and am incredibly pleased with my overall experience. The staff was professional and welcoming, and they all went out of their way to make sure my questions were answered. The results from my surgery were fantastic! I now have 20⁄15 in each eye, and am thankful for the wonderful experience at Omaha Eye and Laser. (Note — make sure you ask ahead of time about pain control options for after the surgery– I did not do this, and wish I had)
