There wifi sucked… it was the most slow wifi I have ever experienced that I can think of. I got the salad bar, and the chicken tastes sour, aka bad. Honestly I only came here to use the wifi cause I was planning on buying something online, and I hadn’t eaten all day except a shake in the morning b.c. I did one thing that ended up taking all day. Which silently drove me insane, cause it took so long. Then the wifi was sloth slow.(sloth is the slowest animal on earth) I had one plate n since I didn’t really come for the food, I didn’t care as much about getting 2nds, the chicken was bad, why would I want 2nds, I didn’t tell the management b.c. well I didn’t care enough, its really there job to keep up with all that stuff. Maybe taste the chicken before serving it. & make sure it’s not out there long enough to become sour. Also it was FREEZING in there. I went there 9−1−15 and I had pants on and it was warm outside but when I got inside I put my jacket on, and then my butt was cold cause I had it wrapped around my waist. While I was waiting for the slow internet to actually do something. I thought to myself I should go get my fuzzy warm winter hat thats in my car the kind eskimos wear and wear it in here and be a smart a*Z maybe they will get the hint. hmmm… or not. My head was cold to, I was just cold. which did not make it for a enjoyable experience. Sometimes I wonder. Or think to myself. Really? Are people that stupid? I think that kind of often about random things. silently. In my head. About how cold it was in there what was the A/C set to 60 degrees? I keep it @ 75 or 70 if I’m being active and running around. It felt like 60 degrees. Or cold enough for my body to be in shock even tho I was covered from head to toe in clothing, and wearing boots. I could only think ”I’m so cold!!!” the whole time I was in there. Left quickly. Thanks for the bad experience. Thats sarcasum, for those of you who are to stupid to know what that was. I prefer to be blunt. but I didn’t want to complain while I was there, b.c. I wanted to get outside where it was warm. Usually Pizza Ranches have good wifi connection. *NOTEDON’T COMEHERETOUSETHEREWIFI&BRING A WARMJACKET* Some may think this comment is rude, but it’s really just honest. Hate me if you want to I really don’t care, I think it was rude of them to stick me in a freezer, and give me sour chicken, and have slow wifi. Really. Your a large corporation, you should be able to afford fast wifi. bur I feel cold just thinking of the memory of being in this place. Mind numbing cold. That is why I usually carry a warm jacket in my car but I need to do laundry. I usually like Pizza Ranch, but apparently they are not all run the same way.

Never thought this would be a review of mine but here is goes. Eat the fried chicken at the pizza ranch it is 10 times better than the pizza in my opinion.

Decent food, but limited selection of items for a buffet. Didn’t try the pizza, but they have some interesting options such a mac & cheese and buffalo chicken wings. The fried chicken is amazing!

they need to rename the company to the«chicken ranch» as both my wife and I enjoy their fried chicken. The chicken is moist and the breading/spices are tasty. Due to the popularity of the chicken they run out and you often times find yourself waiting to see if they plan to bring out more chicken. Worth the wait usually. The pizza on the other hand is at best very plain and not anything to rave about. As an example I tried their sausage pizza but it looked more like plain cheese pizza as you could barely tell sausage was actually on their pizza. also, they apparently are managing their costs as they had very few staff members. They were behind filling their food stations and were not bussing their tables. We came at 5:00 pm I could not imagine what it might be like at 7:00 pm. For the price and the substandard pizza they are kind of expensive. Chicken is really good when you can get it. Overall ok. but in my opinion there are better italian buffets in omaha.

I’m from LA. Coming from a city that has multicultural food, This place has variety type of pizzas. Buffalo chicken was my favorite after the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Good salads, mash potatoes was awesome. Great service. BOMBDESSERTSANDCREAMYICECREAM…

Their chicken is delicious as are their mashed potatoes and gravy. Haven’t tried the pizza. They deliver.

When this location first opened, I was optimistic, I grew up in this area and it was nice to see a restaurant back in the Frederick Square center. The first trip was good, but it has spiraled downward ever since. When the best part of your meal is some prepackaged chicken fries, you’re in trouble. The pizza isn’t anything better than frozen offerings and the chicken is OK but seldom is there any in the steam pan. The dessert is good and the ice cream is very good, but this place isn’t inexpensive to eat at, and it is school cafeteria quality at best. While Valentino’s doesn’t have all that good of a pizza either, at least the other hot dishes are superior to this place. I think the final straw was when they ran out of ice one time and were going to local gas station for bagged ice… glad I could drink a cold beverage but does he gas station come to them when they run out of poor quality pizza??? I am caught having to go to this place for family functions like birthday parties and I would rather just send a card with a few dollars in it and then everyone would get what they wanted. The upside, and it is the only one, is the people that work the room are very good at clearing plates and are extremely friendly and that really makes a difference no matter how bad the food is.

I really like their chicken! Pizza is ok for a buffet but isn’t anything special. Service is good there and managers are very receptive to the customers.

I have a hard time giving a pizza buffet a 4 star rating. But their buffalo chicken pizza sealed the deal for me. It’s probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Outside of the buffalo chicken, the rest of the pizzas were pretty much average for a buffet. They do a lot of creative pizzas though, which is cool; gives you the opportunity to try some unique stuff. It is a little pricey for what it is, but I’m used to the $ 5 buffet at CiCi’s. The employees were all friendly and appeared to be working very hard, too. They did a great job of keeping the pizzas fresh and updated. I didn’t try it, but other customers there were going on about Pizza Ranch having the best fried chicken. Overall, it’s a decent place to hit up once in a while.

My first visit and I expected a place called Pizza Ranch to have good pizza however it was not that fabulous. I guess I should’ve taken them up on their offer to make the pizza of my choice. The fried chicken on the other hand was good, for a buffet. I’m not crazy about buffets.

Great place to come with the family. We always get the buffet so we can sample the different pizzas they have. Everything we’ve tried has been surprisngly good, if not lacking a little sauce. The fried chicken, as others have testified, is some of the best we’ve tried. The new Coca-Cola machines are nice with the multiple combinations of any flavors you want. Service is great, they never have a table with old plates on it. Lacking in the desert section though.

I’ve been to the Council Bluffs location a few times where the food and service was excellent. I was pretty happy when I heard about this location as it’s closer to where I live. The happiness ended when I tried the food here. The pizza was mushy, the chicken tortilla soup had noodles in it(not intentionally, I assume) and had a weird taste to it. The beverage machine was not working properly as everything I tried had a really bad taste. I reported this to a staff member and no one followed up on it while I was there. The worst thing about my experience here was cleanliness. Most of the forks and spoons had not been cleaned properly. I found at least 10 forks and spoons with food on it. Very dirty!!! I pointed this out to one of the guys carrying dirty dishes to the back and he said«ok» and walked away. At least defer it to someone who can look into this matter instead of ignoring it! Overall, it was a disappointing experience and nothing at all like the CB location. I think someone from PR should visit this location to check on the quality of food and cleanliness. Not at all up to standards! I visited during a Wednesday night shift.

If you have any inclinations toward eating even semi-healthy, don’t bother. The veggie pizza was a joke(four olives and a few bits of green pepper?) and the rest of the pizza is pretty bland. The nutrition information on their website is less than helpful. Half the items aren’t even listed. The salad bar is a joke. Limp iceberg and something green covered in oil and bacon. I can find something reasonable to eat at most places but this was the biggest waste of calories.

The pizza is decent and they offer some creative stuff for the buffet. If you do want«adventure pizza» they’ll bring you some normal slices. :) But, can you believe, that some of the best fried chicken this Kentucky boy has ever had was here? That’s right. If you come here and skip out on at least a piece of the fried chicken you are really missing a delicious piece of protein. I found the staff here very polite. I am a nice guy, and say thank you a lot. The pleasantries were always returned here, and people actually made eye contact with you. LOL

Great company. Great food. Great family-friendly music. Great atmosphere. The best buffet-style restaurant in the Metro Area IMHO. Just remember the buffet is closed 2−4PM every day. Definitely try the Stampede pizza and the chicken!

On of our favorite pizza places. The pizza is okey. The chicken and mashed potatos are AMAZING! The pasta salad is also one of my favorites. Over all, this place is a family friendly place for good pizza and great sides!

First time here and when I walked in there were no employees to be found. I didn’t know if I was to wait to be seated or sit myself. After about 3 minutes someone finally came out from the back. He apologized and informed me of their processes for ordering. We had the buffet. It was average at best. I will say they kept the food fresh and filled at the buffet. Mashed potatoes are from a box… not sure if anything is actually made fresh. It doesn’t taste like it. I guess when there’s already a huge pizza place in Omaha with an exceptional buffet, you’re expectations are pretty high. This disappoints. The staff was very friendly. May or may not go back… jury is out.

I want to like this place. I really do. It’s a local/midwestern business. I just really wanted to have a great pizza buffet that I could enjoy with my wife other than Valentino’s. Was I ever disappointed. When I arrived with Mrs. Nick B., we made a joke, after seeing the tiny buffet stations, that«if we wanted a decent buffet, maybe we should just drive to Ameristar, Harrah’s or Horseshoe casinos in Iowa. How true this statement would become. I understand, at 6:00 pm at night, you can’t expect everything to be in a tip-top performance. We decided to go to the salad station first. They had two different types of Dole lettuce. The«Garden Selection variety,(lettuce, carrot shreads, hints of radishes, small bits of red cabbage). The bin on the other side had the darker Dole lettuce selection. You had a choice of a completely depleted ranch dressing(a lady said she was«waiting forever» for them to fill again, and it still wasn’t filled when I went to get some pizza after I enjoyed my salad). Fresh veggies(onions, cucumbers, baby carrots, etc.), decent potato salad, macaroni salad and soup. I tried both cold salads, and was delighted how good they were, along with my dole salad blend. Mrs. Nick B. went to grab her plate, and realized they were playing Toby Mac, and other religious, top 40 pop music to set the mood. She came back and said her salad was good. Our second trip was to try the pizza. There were two pans of cheesy bread sticks, with an empty bowl of cold/warm marinara sauce. Not sure of the temp, due to it also being empty. I grabbed a cheese stick, a slice of sausage pizza, and moved to the small fried chicken station. There I was greeted with a mountain of mashed potatoes, waffle fries, green beans, three types of fried/sauced chicken(buffalo, bbq, and something else) and then the house fried chicken. I had some potatoes and light gravy, and a plain, fried drumstick. Mrs. Nick B. is a connoisseur of potatoes. Whenever we enjoy potatoes, we always make them homemade. As soon as she had taken a bite, and I had seen the look on her face, I knew they weren’t homemade. They were of the box, flake instant variety. I ate mine, however she had her chicken and green beans. I thought the pizza had no taste or essence if you will. It just tasted like thin crust pizza dough, the plainest of the plain pizza sauces, cheese and limited sausage toppings. On my third, and what turned out to be final trip to the small serving stations, I tried the buffalo chicken pizza, pepperoni pizza, three large waffle fries. The buffalo chicken pizza had three pieces of cube chicken on it, and was completely greased down by the amount of cheese on it, and once again, the pepperoni pizza just didn’t have any FLAVOR to it. The waffle fries, while large, were decent, however, you have to get the katchup for them at the end of the pizza station(held with two bottles of buffalo sauce, and was warm due to the buffet station) and I’ve had better waffle fries elsewhere. I place my feelings about pizza ranch on facebook, and in one hour I’ve had 8 people agree with me and one person state that they were there last week, and un-impressed. There are much better pizza & fried chicken joints in the city of Omaha to enjoy,(Surfsides, Time Out, Alpine Inn, Gerta’s, Trackside. to name a few). I think Pizza Ranch should’ve stayed to its roots and stayed in the small towns in Iowa and avoided the big city. They’re trying to bring in down home, country cooking with their chain, and it felt like things were rushed to meet demand. If there’s one thing I know about home cooking, is that it takes time and among other things, seasoning to make the delicious food people will enjoy, also taste good. My recommendation is to avoid, and this is apparent by the reaction I’ve seen from people on Facebook that have tried this as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this, while it was still absolutely fresh in my mind.
