Scissors & Scotch

My first experience was good, or so I thought. About a week after my haircut, I noticed my hair line in the back was prob an inch higher than it should be. This area was growing back as a big area of gross neck hair instead of normal hair, if this makes sense. I could either shave it every couple days or struggle through a month of letting it fill in with the rest of my hair. At this point, I was going to be a one and done at S&S.
Fast forward a couple months to a scotch tasting I was at downtown – I met Erica who is a manager at Scissors and Scotch for the first time. I had mentioned a couple newer places in Countryside that I’ve really liked. Somehow this turned into talk of my crummy haircut — she then told me what she did for a living and she was very committed to make things right. In addition to our convo, she sent a couple great emails. After all of her effort and the carrot she dangled to get me to try it again, I’d have to be ridiculously stubborn to decline.
I now have a new haircut person – she is awesome. She’s a true professional who takes pride in her craft.
Instead of me struggling to find the time for haircut, it’s a nice break during the day & I actually look forward to it. She is also super upbeat, nice and funny. For selfish reasons, I won’t mention her name – she’s busy enough as it is.
Erica is on the bar side. She is very talented & it’s very easy to see why she is helping at some of the new S&S locations in other cities.
Perhaps I have become a scotch snob as I’m about a year into my new hobby of tasting whiskey, bourbon & scotch. I would have expected a little more selection for a place with Scotch in its name. Their liquor rep is a friend and I was told some additions would be coming shortly.

After a long period of battling with health issues and related setbacks, I booked an appointment at Scissors & Scotch to do something for myself, to improve my look, and celebrate getting past the toughest times. I bought the 25 year package, and the service blew away my expectations.
I booked my appointment with Randi, as I saw her mentioned by name in another Unilocal review, and she was fantastic. She made me look great, feel great, and has a fantastic sense of how much conversation to make, and when to make it (I’ve had countless haircuts and massages ruined by practitioners who just would not stop talking – not Randi, she is excellent).
After the haircut and related services, I walked into the bar/​lounge and had my complimentary drink. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was among the best I’ve ever had. The second was even better (no worries; I stopped after two). The drinks capped off a perfect experience.
I can’t recommend Scissors & Scotch too highly.

This place is awesome. I heard about it from some guys at work and tired of Great Clips or Sport Clips or whatever, decided to try it. You walk in and check in at the bar! So right off, this doesn’t suck. Nice scotches, bourbons, rye, beer, whatever. A pool table, comfy chairs and… oh yeah, I’m here for a haircut! Went with my 15 year old son and I’ll never be able to take him anywhere else– for several reasons. So, I had a nice glass of scotch and went in. They start off with a shampoo and hot towel, then the haircut and then a rinse. Nice, talented people, good conversation and very chill. One drink is included with the cut for $ 30 a piece. Really nice experience– we’ll be back. A lot!

I was in town on a business trip and needed a proper haircut. A friend reccomended coming here and it was the best decision. My barber, Alicia did an amazing job with the proper fade and razor parted style I wanted. Already have my next appointment scheduled before the end of my trip!

I just went to S&S this morning and had an awesome experience. If you go there I definitely recommend Mandi, she was awesome to work with and did a great job with the haircut. She asked very detailed questions to help guide the experience. It was also really nice talking to her throughout the 25 year service that I received. Definitely going again!

Welcome to Omaha Scissors&Scotch, these Cornhuskers needed you… desperately. Coming from a world of spas, pampering, ultimate indulgence, and where upkeep of men is valued (Los Angeles), I want to thank you and lift my glass to you. *lifts scotch glass* My husband was in need of a PROPER haircut, the so called «barbers“he was going to couldn’t cut a straight line or do a proper fade if their lives depended on it. So finally after one crooked haircut too many, I was ecstatic to find you, you wonderful barber/​spa you!
The attention to detail and the scene in this place is worth joining. I love that my husband looks so amazing after his visit!
Their drinks are great and they know you by name, you’re not just another face.
When we move, you will be a place we truly will miss!

This place is awesome. If you go there I highly recommend asking for Randi she is awesome. Now if your in a hurry then you will not be able to enjoy this like its meant to be enjoyed but if you have an hour to kill this place is worth the money.

This is the place to go for not only a great haircut, but a great overall hangout experience. I go here to relax on my day off and Mandi and Erik really know how to take care of you. I recommend this place to everybody, and now I don’t dread a haircut like I do a dentist :) I recommend you get Mandi, but I’m sure anyone there will do a great job!

I was impressed with Scissors and Scotch. The entire staff made me feel welcome the moment I walked through the door. S&S is truly one of a kind; you won’t find anything like it in Omaha. My haircut came with a hot towel, scalp massage, shampoo, and face moisturizer. After the haircut, Erik made me a fantastic old fashioned. It was great to relax in their lounge area and socialize. I will definitely be returning.

The staff were all incredibly friendly to me from the moment I walked in. Very modern looking barber shop with a very nice lounge area. You get a complimentary drink with your haircut. They did a great job with my hair and I had a great experience there. I went with the Glenlivet neat, which was very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great haircut and a very chill environment. Kellner out.
