Service was quick. Order at the counter, you are given a number and they bring the food to your table. Got the chicken and cheese quesadilla combo. Combo comes with a drink and«potato olé» otherwise known as tater tots. Quesadilla was very cheesy and could have used some more chicken, but it was acceptable. The tater tots otherwise known as potato olé was hot and crispy(good). Salsa bar has five(5) selections. A mild and two hot salsas, pico de gallo, and sliced jalapenos. Pico did not taste fresh. Mild salsa was very good. Tried the churro and Mexican donuts for dessert. Liked both, but preferred the churro(tasty)/ Will not go out of my way to eat at this restaurant.

They always screw up our orders. We always go back and have to get the order redone. How hard is it to make tacos?

I can honestly say that Taco John’s is my favorite fast food taco joint ever. The tacos and especially their equivalent of the crunchwrap rock! And I love the tater tots!!! I really miss Taco John’s now that I’ve moved away and will definitely be hitting one up the next time I find myself in a place that has one.

I usually don’t comment on other reviewers, but seriously, anyone who goes to Taco John’s for authentic Mexican Food probably believes in Santa Claus and considers MTV’s the Hills to be intellectual. Taco John’s is clutch for their potato oles and meat and potato burrito. How can you go wrong with six pack and a pound, which is 6 tacos and a pound of potato oles? Yeah, it’s not authentic, but their TV ads have a monkey riding a dog with a little monkey saddle on them. Who takes that seriously? Oh right, that other reviewer did.
