That Pottery Place is an awesome way to channel some creativity and spend a few hours creating something. The concept is simple – pick out a piece of plain bisque pottery, and design it using glazes(they go on like paints) and they fire it in the kiln. I went with a friend and we both remarked how refreshing it was to make something and just focus on its beauty not just its utility. The painting area itself is pretty small so if you’re going with a group of more than 4, or going on a weekend I recommend calling in and making a reservation. Plenty of great colors to choose from, idea books, sponges, stamps, stencils, etc. were also available to use. The staff were very helpful and were willing to jump in and help us with ideas of how to decorate, demonstrated different tools, and answered questions. It was a fantastic experience overall and I highly recommend it.

My son and I embarked on a journey to paint some pottery for our«Sunday Funday» with some friends. I haven’t done anything with pottery since junior high(soooo 15 years ago?) so I was excited to do it again. We chose our pottery pieces and painted away for a good 90 minutes or more. I was impressed with the number of paint choices and little extras available. There were stamps and sponges and shapes and patterns galore. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable, but never pushy. They offered suggestions on techniques that would really make the pieces turn out. Be prepared to walk strategically through the space if they are busy, as the entire room was a little cramped. We were there during a birthday party and several other table reservations, but it was still a pretty calm workspace. I also liked that there were finished pieces all over the store to pull motivation or design ideas from. Overall, this was a wonderful place for a little quality time with my son and some friends. We can’t wait to go back and pick up our pottery!

Fun place to take an older child. I first came here with my «Little Sister». She was probably about 11 and we had a great time painting pieces. The people that work there are super nice and friendly. Years later, we had my daughter’s 5th birthday party here. The girls all loved it and they were easy to work with.
