The local disc golf club put in a lot of work to «awaken the beast» that is the Links at Lake Cunningham. What was once a very overgrown, neglected eight hole disc golf course has since been mowed and manicured and expanded to 11 holes. The first seven holes now feature multiple tee areas plus a few new basket placements, adding a little variety to a course that was pretty much left for dead a couple years ago. The three new holes are a welcome addition, feature tight fairways, death putts and sweeping views of the park. I can’t wait until next year when Cunningham(hopefully) goes back to a full fledged 18 hole. Big kudos to the Omaha Metro Disc Golf Association for all their hard work!

This is one of the many courses in which you are expected to throw an inanimate object quite some distance, then go find it and do it again. Until you get the chains. Ahh. the chains. there are so few of them left anymore. When I first came here this was an expansive course that had great elevation and views. Now it is an 8 hole course. Are you kidding me? What a joke. While the course has been shortened, the walk is still pretty cool. Bring water. I like the overall refresh of the lake, but this is one of the worst parks in general in Omaha. Seriously overgrown and undermaintained. I play here only for variety now.
