We called them for an air conditioning issue and they came out and our service person was great. He was courteous and professional. He explained and showed us the issues. He wore booties on his shoes as he had to come thru the house a few times. We were so happy to have the problem fixed in an hour. He had all the parts with him too. We have never heard of this company, and a guy just showed up to my house with his Thermal Services truck out of no where with no appointment no nothing, telling me I had an appointment to have my heater serviced. I told him to leave because nobody made an appointment, and he had the wrong house. Then the guy said that he would reschedule. I said NO. He was a Creeper.

My furnace went out mid January in the middle of the night. During one of the –10 degree nights. My wife and I had a 5 day old at the time and couldn’t wait to have someone come in the morning. I called the 24 hour help line. They came out promptly, charged me $ 180 and informed me that the«evap coil» was too dirty and the flip switch had gone out. Nothing they could do until mid day. Fast forward to mid day, the came out, informed me they couldn’t clean the evap-coil and i would have to buy a new one $ 1500 or replace the furnace. They quoted me $ 4000 and could have it in tomorrow. I called a local furnace company, they came out. Charged me $ 150 to clean the evap coil and to replace the flip switch. Thermal works off of «SPIFS» and their only need is to replace your entire system for profit. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to them.

I hired Thermal Services when we bought our first home in 2007. My experience was not quiet what I expected. My seasonal maintenance went well for my A/C. They found an out-of-tolerance capacitor that caused the system to run inefficiently. However, when I had my winter furnace maintenance, they sent a kid who spent the ENTIRE time on his cell phone yacking to some friend about his drinking and sex life. It took him a few tries to get his work done… and within minutes of him leaving, my furnace started running for 30+ minutes without firing. When I called the company back, they sent a few techs to look at it and they claimed that there was nothing wrong with the system. After I pressed them about the sudden change in operation, the senior tech seemed to think that maybe my furnace was shot(a little alarming since it was only 8 years old at the time). But it was the attitude of the older techs that defended their young apprentice that upset me — that I must have no clue how the system operated and that I was just freaking out about nothing. Regardless, I no longer used Thermal and found a different technician who fixed the problem that Thermal caused within a few minutes of looking at the system. I find it hard to rate them a 1-star because the truly did seem interested in solving my problem, at least until I refused their idea that«nothing was wrong.» I do not believe I was scammed but do believe I was a victim of a distracted, under experienced technician.
