I’m surprised I’m the first to review this place, as it has a seemingly steady crowd. I went here sporadically over the past couple of years. There isn’t much to it, but sometimes that’s important. You walk in, there’s the bar. To the left is more seating, and a little stage/dance area. Annnd that’s about it. The bar itself is sort of boxed — 3 sides and the wall, and most of the people seem to sit at the bar. On that, the drinks aren’t cheap, but they do give good pours. The bartenders are mellow and friendly — one even helped me go through my phone and called someone to give me a ride home after I’d filled my head with whiskey, and she was a complete doll about it the whole time. The lighting is pleasantly and intentionally dark, and the windows are tinted to help with this. Everything is clean and neat. You won’t find a pool table, darts, or anything else here. They do have karaōke, and you can sit right there at your seat at the bar and sing, and as strange as that sounds, it feels perfectly natural here. They also have live music(piano or jazz or something), but I haven’t been there for it yet. It’s a comfortable, intimate, almost noir feeling sort of atmosphere. Perhaps the type of place a couple would go to whisper dirty little nothings into each other’s ears. If I ever get around to writing a book, much of it will be written at some secluded little table in a bar like this.
