I wish I hadn’t stopped in. The service was great. However, the pizza slices were nothing like NYC pizza and not even good. They didn’t have any flavor really. The thing that really bugged me was the lukewarm cheese on top which was gross. I like my pizza to have hot cheese started to brown on the top. It was like the slices were thrown in the microwave.

4 to 4.5(wish Unilocal star ratings could be more nuanced). Got a to-go order of a Meatball sub and slice of New York King from the location in the Old Market. Large portions, and very good quality. Excellent value for the price. Only disappointment was in the«spicy sausage links»(you have a choice of these or homemade meatballs on the King), which were recommended. Good, just not ‘spicy’. Very good pizza, and will definitely order from again when I’m in town! Couldn’t get delivery, but that was probably a combination of time(9 pm) the big snowfall the day before and the fact that they bar across the street had exploded a few days earlier and the street/block was impassable. But, they were still open and were doing a very good business! Would highly recommend.

We ate their after ice skating downtown on a Tuesday night before Christmas. The place was packed, guessing due to holiday traffic and not a normal Tuesday crowd. I was skeptical on how this was going to go. We were seated after a few minutes of waiting. Then Samantha our server made a quick stop to say she would be with us shortly. From then on, great service. Looked like she was serving half the tables in the place. Even though the place was slammed, she was very attentive, we didn’t feel rushed. Kept our drinks filled and made sure we had a good experience. This is what a professional server looks like. I’ve been to several high end restaurants in town with servers with far fewer tables and don’t get anywhere near this level of service. Food was good, service was great!

Zio’s Pizzeria has a few restaurants in Omaha, and I dined at the one in the historic Old Market District. This is a neat area with cobblestone streets and plenty of dining options and other shops to check out. This Zio’s Pizzeria location fits its environment well with an exposed brick wall and open ceiling, giving it a warehouse feel. Zio’s does offer some items besides pizza, such as calzones, hoagies, and pasta, but those obviously weren’t of interest to me. I tried a slice of one of their specialties, the Margherite, as well as a slice of good ol’ pepperoni. The crust of both slices was thicker and crunchier than I expected for a New York-style pizzeria. It wasn’t bad, but you should just be prepared that it isn’t the thin and foldable type of crust. I didn’t think this thicker type of crust worked too well with the Margherite pizza, but it certainly was appropriate for my friend’s loaded slice that even included mac n’ cheese. It also worked better with my pepperoni slice that was cheesy and greasy, just as I like it.

Pretty average pizza I prefer it to any of the big chains but not in comparison to other local pizzerias. I live right next to zios downtown and find myself driving to Orsis or other places when i am craving pizza.

We’ve ordered zios to go before and it was really good. But then we went to tonight for late-night pizza and it was too late but Lance hooked it up thank you Lance Zios is awesome! It looks like just a sausage pizza but it had hidden deliciousness underneath the cheese extra extra meat and saucy cheesy goodness

The best pizza by far in Omaha. All fresh ingredients and home made crust. Offers puzza by the slice and whole. The slices are huge. For about 3 bucks a slice you can fill up quick. The atmosphere is typical Old Market style. Casual. A must have pizza if you are in the Old Market.

I Really enjoy the Zio’s Downtown. The atmosphere is warm and exciting when you walk in. We usually call ahead and have it ready. The lunch crowd often has a line but it moves very fast. The pie itself is very well put together. The crust is thinner and softer. The toppings are great quality and the cheese is light. The flavors of the sauce toppings and cheese all go perfectly together. The employees are the same ones I have been seeing for the last 4 years and Its great when a place retains workers and they recognize you!!! All in all this is a great place for some good pizza!!!

Enjoyed the food, ingredients were fresh and pie was good. Had Italian sausage and pepperoni. Good stuff. Have a special for a 9 inch pie with a soda for like seven bucks or so, not bad pricing. The host was a little slow and very cold, told him table for one and he basically just walked away with a menu without saying a word. Sat for a while until the manager came over and asked if I had been helped, eventually the server came along but by then I had my order in. Look, it’s a pizza joint, it’s not fine dining. The food was good, it was hot from the oven, didn’t take long to get it. Would return for more pie. Would have gotten five stars if they served liquor.

I’m only posting one star because it’s the least I can do– which is similar to what the staff here is capable of. As I write this review the restaurant is still open for 40 more minutes and even though I called almost three hours prior to confirm that they delivered to my hotel, accepted American Express and inquired about when they took the last order for delivery(because I didn’t want to be THAT guy who calls at closing), when I called back to place my order I was told they basically were not interested in my business or my money. I was really looking forward to dinner tonight as it’s one of few comforts when I travel for work and have to be so far away from home. When I explained all this to the manager, «Owner’s rules» was the exact quote I received from her. I get to go hungry tonight, but the rest of you don’t have to. Apparently the owner and manager don’t care either. Do yourself a favor and eat at Lighthouse Pizza. You may just save your own life and a trip to the EMERGENCYDEPARTMENT like Sean R. This place is a joke. Apparently the owner and manager are independently wealthy and do this job as a side gig.

Today was my second and last visit. The plan was to just have a relaxing slice or two of pizza and a soda while passing a sunny afternoon. Here is! hat was wrong… — New waiter who was more interested in talking with other waiters than taking my order… — Pizza was cold, dry, and crust was like a saltine — Soda was flat. — 10 minute wait to get my check cashed out. Do yourself a favor… stop at a nearby mini mart, buy a frozen pizza, and take it home… at least then, you can blame yourself if its a total mess. Sorry guys, but you dropped the ball. Bye Felicia!

My favorite Chicken Thai Pizza. Ever. You can rely on Zio’s, every time. Old Market location is fun, boisterous and fits with the zip code. LOL. Relax, folks — be in The Moment and smile.

Called for delivery to our hotel. Girl who took our order was very helpful as we are from out of town. Delivery guy was also very friendly. The chicken and feta combo pizza was EXCELLENT! My wife and I devoured it. I would highly recommend!

Zero stars. METALINMYPIZZA!!! The reviews stating that this is ‘good’ pizza are lies or just come from ppl who don’t know what good pizza actually tastes like. I was mildly enjoying a piece of my pizza and then I bit into a slice and something immediately cut the side of my mouth… Turns out a piece of twisted wire/metal was hidden underneath the cheese and toppings. You’ve gotta be kidding me… It obviously could have just been a mistake but if I had actually swallowed it I would have had to go to the hospital.

After arriving in Omaha my daughter and I walked to the old market in search of good eats. Pizza was mediocre. Salad was sub-par. Not sure how this compares to other restaurants in the neighborhood but I plan to find out as I feel no need to come back here. 3 stars because there was nothing really horrible about the meal, but def not a memorable experience. Kind of annoying that they charged us 55 cents for a tiny cup of ranch dressing too… really?

Old Market location review: good food, had slice with Canadian bacon, pepperoni and Romano cheese. Great crust. Solid sauce. BBQ wings were good, with good sauce. Serve Pepsi products unfortunately. Service was slow to say the very least. Friendly but not fast at all.

I have been to all the Zio’s locations several times over the years and it’s almost always really good. I can’t remember having a bad experience with the food itself. Also, I love thin crust. Most recently I went there this past Friday with my sister and her 3 kids(all under age 10). We got there shortly after they opened at 11:20 and that was a good time to go as it was packed with the downtown lunch crowd about a half hour later. Lunch specials include 2 slices & a soda or a slice, salad & soda. Being health conscious, I opted for the latter but wished I had done the 2 slices because the pizza was great and the salad was good but nothing super special. For my slice I chose pepperoni and green pepper while my sister went with chicken and artichoke hearts. The staff also gave my nieces and nephew little balls of dough to play with to keep them occupied while we waited for our food. It worked!

Pizza sounded good so why not Zio’s right? Downtown shopping so we went in… and than it went down hill. A few tables at first, just missed the main lunch rush 4 servers and floor manager Service started out fine with drinks and appetizers offered. No kids cups? That’s just silly. Garlic cheese bread for me and the two little ones. Not a bad flavor and marinara was just right! Kids ordered typical cheese pizza, one slice split into 2 I ordered by the slice– 1 chicken buffalo and el taco and a side salad ranch on the side Salad never came out. which was a disappointment Pizza by the slice came out wrong. Took a bite of the chicken basil noticing that it wasn’t buffalo. Had to wait to get the servers attention to get it fixed and notified her that I didn’t need the salad now since she clearly forgot She had a notepad when we ordered? What the hell happened. It took an additional 20 minutes for the other slice to come. Put a damn rush on it! You messed up!!! Business started to become busier with more tables piling in by the second. I brought the crowd in for their second rush. My kids were excited about cotton candy being on the desert menu but it wasn’t offered. Why should I have to remind the server how to do her damn job It doesn’t make any sense to me. Clearly the server had no idea how to do her job correctly because she was trained poorly by management. I hope the owners read this and fix the damn problem After finally receiving the check I was charged for the pizza that she said she would take off for me I shouldn’t have to pay for that mess up when I waited patiently for it I contacted the manager and explained and it was taken off I didn’t leave a tip because it was terrible.(service) The food was OK Brittany needs to be trained again or fired!

Stopped in with the family to pick up a slice of pie before going to a show. Server greeted us upon entering and sat quickly. Menu has a good selection of pies, but noticed that while slices are reasonable, the price for a whole pie gets expensive fairly quickly. The restaurant also serves salads and sandwiches. Got a slice of hamburger, thai, and a combination. Zio’s calls this«New York Style», but that to me is nice and chewy, not hard and crunchy which is what we got. The most off putting thing of the evening was when I got tomato sauce on my slice of Thai pizza. Who puts tomato sauce on that type of specialty pizza? The taste was not good. No where else in the country have I ever had tomato sauce on a Thai slice. Asked the server, statement was that all the slices are pre-made and have tomato sauce automatically. I asked whether a freshly made Thai pie had tomato sauce as well… the answer was yes. Not good. I ate the crust and one or two bites. Waitress got me a discount since I did not like it and said she would advise the manager and see whether they change the way they prepare it. Very thoughtful of the waitress(3+ for her) Nothing we had would make us go out of our way to go back.
