Great service but the food was less to be desired. Guess if you like a ton of pasta, sauce and cheese with your eggplant or veal then this is the place for you. It sure isn’t fine Italian cuisine, that’s for sure!

This place is consistently good and I’ve always had really good service. I’ve only had one odd experience and it was around a birthday meal, on the phone we were told I would get a free dessert but when I got there I was told it depends. This was not a big to me and I didn’t push the issue at all. Honestly, I would rather pay for everything and eat at Angelini’s any day than have to eat Italian food at one of my other local options even if they offered a discount. I’ve never left there disappointed or hungry.

Great food. Service is what gave them only 4 stars. Could have had a better experience, it would have been something to rave about.

I went here for dinner with my daughter. The food was excellent and the service was good. We ordered an extra take-out dinner about half-way through our meal and they had it ready when we were ready to go. I did notice the hours are wrong though — they don’t open until 4 pm — they are not open for lunch. It’s too bad — I had stopped in hoping to get some deep dish pizza; I’ll have to come another night.

Been here a couple times. Service has been good on both occasions. Have dined in both the bar area and the dining room. I would suggest reservations. The lasagna and meatballs are very good. The Chicago style pizza was delicious however, skimpy on the meat. Garlic bread and calamari are pretty standard.

I’ve been going to Angelini’s since it started in Sparta. I loalways wants to go here as it’s the closest to home cooking. Service has always been top notch. Really feel welcome. ved the new one in Onalaska and love the newest one in Onalaska even more. Went there today and had the Osso Buco this trip. Was absolutely phenomenal. So tender. I’ve tried the pasta and pizzas several times. Most authentic food I’ve tasted. My sister in law is from Italy and when she visits from Los Angeles she

(The following comments are in response to a post on Unilocal by Antonio on 10÷8÷2015) Antonio(whoever that is…) didn’t read my earlier review and comments very well. His flaming response, «10÷8÷2015 How could Mr. D. know how much salt was in his food when he never made it past the appetizers? Mr. D and his buddy were asked to leave after he made inappropriate sexual comments towards the bartender. FYI the bartender was my wife» Well, your comments are totally misdirected as you must be referring to some other person, not me. If you are a manager — how could you possibly respond to a customer — especially the wrong customer — in this descending, disparaging tone. Maybe this indicates the type service I mentioned earlier. I’ve NEVER been in Angelini’s bar… I commented that it was loud and annoying to diners. Second, my wife and I had NO appetizers… we can only assume they were also too salty. Food was, at best, marginal and undistinguished. It is our experience that restaurants frequently use excess salt to cover up poorly flavored food. So, I stand by my earlier comments and experiences with this restaurant… and Antonio… be a bit more careful with your comments towards the wrong person.

Nice atmosphere. Delicious food. Get something with the meat sauce is what I was told so I had lasagna. It was good. It’s a small place so if you go on a busy night make reservations. Enjoy.

Our experience was semi uneventful. Ordered meat ravioli and then was told they ran out, credit card machine went down so had to run to atm at gas station, unhappy child sitting behind my husband in the very cramped dining room. Cheese manicotti and garlic bread had same quality as if it was frozen and microwaved. Waiter was apologetic so that’s why I’m giving this restaurant two stars.

I am bonkers for classic Italian food — plus live in a city with fabulous restaurants — and I LOVE Angelini’s. We eat here whenever I’m back visiting my family in Wisconsin, and it’s always wonderful. Tried their eggplant parmigiana for the first time last week, and it was glorious: tender, delicious eggplant, perfect spaghetti, and they made it spicy for me. They also really know how to make a fricken martini, which is kind of rare in these lager-loving parts. Charming staff and lots of sweet Dean Martin tunes too. Next time I’m ordering the stuffed pizza; looked insanely good.

I really like the food here, and don’t really mind the«Chicago attitude» about the place that turns many off. Right when you walk in, you see a sign on the host stand that says«At Angelini’s, the customer is NOT always right.» If you don’t like that, turn around and go to Ciatti’s. Personally, I just think it’s kind of amusing that the owner wants to be some kind of tough guy, but as long as the food is good I really couldn’t care less. And the food IS good, but overhyped and overpriced, considering a good plate of Italian pasta isn’t hard to find at a reasonable rate in this area. Now that I no longer live in Onalaska, I probably won’t have a good reason to go back there, but if you are in the area and like traditional Italian food but don’t need to be fawned over as soon as you walk in, you’ll like this place. I guess you might say I could take it or leave it.

I would give this place a zero if I could. The host at the door was rude even after we told him it was our first time to try them out. Our server knew nothing about the wine. The food took so long we left money for our drinks and walked out. Ugh! NEVERGOINGBACK. If you want bad treatment for over priced pasta this is the place to go. You don’t get a salad or anything so a long wait really feels like a long wait. I saw other people’s food and the portions looked scary big, but that’s not always a good thing. I have no idea what the food tastes like, but there are plenty of nice resturants that will treat you with respect. I’m not into places that think customer service doesn’t matter. I’m happy to spend big bucks if the resturant makes me feel welcome. This place just sucks!
