OMG. I am so darn TIRED… Tony and I got up at 330am this morning, showered and shaved and out the door by 430am and on the road. We drove to Cookeville TN for Breakfast at Waffle House and then we drove another 1hr to Jamestown Tn where we went to the Big South Fork Visitors Center and met with a ranger for maps. and off we went hiking into the BEARINFESTEDFOREST… he told us to be VERYCAREFUL with the weather warming up they are COMINGOUTHUNGRY and the area is very BEARRICH… so I was a little nervous to say the least but HELL I wanted to see these TWINARCHES of TENNESSEE so I am going in… Tony opted to definitely be on guard so he took up the rear. we hiked for about 2 hrs, 450 steep stairs(more like ladders built up the side of the rock facing) and 2 ½ miles later… we did it… and it was well worth it… the views were AWESOME. the ARCHESAMAZING !!! and I have to go back again and take my daughter NOEL. she will be Amazed and in awe just like we both were… and then we stopped at East Rim Overlook and hiked out. gorgeous views. then we stopped at Leatherwood Ford to scope out some awesome swimming and picnic options for our future trips. then we headed to Oneida to have lunch. then on up RT27 into Kentucky to enjoy the hike out to the YAHOOFALLS(highest in state of Kentucky) and then to the Alum Ford. and then out to YAMACRAW River Access… again some beautiful views… we were gone ALL day. we got home a little while ago and I am worn out… but well worth it…

This is a great park. Even on a Labor Day Weekend, capacity crowd, we never felt bothered or crowded. The park is clean and has lot’s of different activities.
