I gives me absolutely no pleasure to submit a 1-Star rating to any restaurant(the owners are usually hard working and dedicated people), however since I will not be returning to Tuscan Oven I have to leave a review of my only dining experience. That having been said, I will begin this review with the positives. The wait-staff were friendly and seemed to be well trained, although we waited an excessive amount time for our drink order to be taken. The atmosphere and décor are rather nice and the front of house appears to be immaculate and well maintained. OK, on to the meal. The complimentary bread was a very nice touch and of high quality, the dipping sauce was flavorful(but not sure how well the flavors worked with the bread). The salad(additional charge) was fresh and actually well prepared, but needed a bit more to justify the price. The Haddock was poorly filleted and was full of bone fragments. The pasta was from a box and paired with a well prepared sauce that was, unfortunately, overpowered by garlic. The broccoli was unseasoned and seemed to be thrown on the plate as a garnish or as an afterthought. I have never been as disappointed by an entrée as I was with this one. Again, this was my only visit to this establishment, so please take it for what it is worth.

You know how sometimes you find a little restaurant in a strip mall and you’re expecting it to be terrible, or at least mediocre, and then it surprises you? Well, that’s what happened here. The food turned out to be really solid. I could complain about the fact that they charged me three dollars for club soda, but I won’t. Instead, I’ll tell you that the pizza was excellent, and the bread was unexpectedly good. Soft, But didn’t feel like it needed chemicals to get that way. Two thumbs up.

Well… I dont really know where to begin. We were visiting friends in the Oneida area and decided that we wanted to pick something up; we called 20 minutes before we actually got there and on what appeared to be a slow night we still waited 45 minutes at the bar. Then we got our food which was drastically over priced for what we got. I ordered chicken riggies and there was just over half of a to-go container. Well I got home and opened it up and the pasta was completely under-cooked and the wings that we bought were raw on the inside. I actually called to have our parties meal refunded. The only thing that I can honestly say is that this place was worse than Star Wars Episode One. The service wasnt bad but I shouldnt have to equate my service in the same way as I have to describe going to the dentist. Take my advice: If you want to eat here just take the money you would and pay one of the Oneida City cops to mace you directly in the mouth and then walk directly to subway. Not that Im a fan of subway but honestly theres less spices in the mace and the subway will atleast fill you up.

Staff was pleasant, but the food as not all that impressive. The garlic bread was good but served at room temperature. Would have been excellent if it was served warm. Salad was also served at room temp and not chilled. Portions was smaller than expected and not included with the entrée. The main meals were OK, but a bit heavy on spices(had to down 3 drinks). Prices would have been what I expected, but was overcharged $ 1 more for each salad and $ 2 more for one of the meals. Too bad, would have probably returned, but doubt that will happen.

We were looking for a place to eat while passing through. We were more than pleasantly surprised to find chesterfield’s tucked into an Oneida strip mall. The food was great. The jumbo ravioli were some of the best I’ve had and the marinara sauce is the kind you travel to eat again. The rest of my family loved their meals. The service was attentive and pleasant. Overall an unexpected and awesome experience.

Chesterfield’s Tuscan Oven was ok. It most definitely did not knock my socks off… but, as I understand, for the fine folks of Oneida County this is a regular dinner spot and I do see hints & glimmers of why. The restaurant is actually situated in a st
