Dr. Lemke was my mom’s oncologist, and she was wonderful. She never minced words, but was diligent about making sure that we felt comfortable, even when she was telling us that my mom was never going to get better. She tried to make sure that we would have as much QUALITY time with her as possible, and I really appreciated that. Let’s face it — she’s an oncologist, so the outcome isn’t going to be good a lot of the time. But Dr. Lemke’s bedside manner really did make us feel confident that our mom was receiving great care, regardless of what the outcome was clearly going to be. There is one woman in her front office(unfortunately she answers the phone) who is very uncaring sounding, and I that stinks when you’re family member is dying. However, I appreciated that the doctor visited my mom while she was in the hospital in Syracuse, and travels to Oneida once or twice a week so that her patients in this more rural area don’t have to go all the way to Syracuse for chemotherapy. Thank you Dr. Lemke! Cori Doble(daughter of Betty Moshier).
