An Oasis in the Culinary Desert — that is how I would describe my experience at this spectacular steakhouse. A magnificent view from atop the 21st floor, and you enter being greeted like a long-time honored guest. What you will get: attentive service, and great ambience. What more could you ask for if you are seeking a Manhattan steakhouse experience? The fresh oysters appetizer was better than those I have had in Rhode Island. Ice cold, meaty and delicious. The iceberg wedge with those little fried cheese puffs was surprisingly good. But the piece de resistance? I had a «Tomahawk Chop” — a rib veal chop grilled medium rare.(See attached picture). It was a huge fistful of succulent meat, that was actually recommended to me when I had dined earlier in the day by the manager of Dinosaur Barbecue(another great meal) as her top choice as entrée. My dinner companion had the porterhouse, which was everything that you would expect from a top cut of beef. Suggestions: consider yourself fortunate if your server is Tricia. And order your entrees without salt. I did, based on prior reviews, and had no complaints about extra sodium. So, would I return? Oh, yes. I already have my reservation on OpenTable for a month from today.

Would recommend for celebrating a special occasion while staying at Turningstone. While we were dining, there was a very loud and rowdy group of businessmen seated next to us. We didn’t really mind — we actually found them entertaining, but the server felt bad and bought us a round of drinks. Although we didn’t have any steak, the seafood was delicious! Shrimp cocktail and scallops highly recommend.

Delicious! 2nd time there. Was seated within minutes of stepping off the elevator. I am a french onion soup fanatic and their’s is very good. Not the best I have ever had, but it would be a must for me to order again. My boyfriend had the caesar salad and enjoyed that as well. We ordered the porterhouse and the scallops as our main entrees and split them. We also got the au gratin potatoes and maple bacon brussel sprouts as sides. The steak was incredible! Cooked perfectly to our liking, medium, as was super flavorful. The scallops were meh… we decided that would be a no for next time. Both sides were excellent, best brussel sprouts I have ever had. We did not have room for dessert. The prices are higher, but our check was still only $ 130 for the soup, salad, steak, scallops, 2 sides and a cocktail, which I don’t think was bad at all and definitely in line with other nice steakhouses. Well worth the price even though we were using comp. We will be back again soon!

The setting is simply beautiful. On the top floor of the building, and overlooking gorgeous land is this steak house. The cocktails we ordered were magnificent. The blue cheese stuffed olives were outrageously good. The wedge salad… was AMAZING. Really perfect and accompanied by this little fried cheese goddesses! SO good. However, the steak was just okay. It was cooked PERFECTLY, the crust on the outside was amazing and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious… however, the killer for me was it was WAY Too salty… and I am a salt-a-holic. It kind of killed the $ 40 filet for me. The asparagus were just okay, but the worst part of the whole meal was the mashed potato pudding. I mean literally, it was like a liquidy mess of a consistency of baby food, it poured off the spoon like a liquid. Totally nasty. Desert was amazing… the crème brûlée was rocking. Too bad they couldn’t do taters and steak at a steak house.(PS Everyone at my table that had steak thought it was too salty as well). I will try this place again though, the good outweighed the bad… just pricey.

Typical, upscale steakhouse. We sat on the bar side and they were grossly understaffed, but we enjoyed our meal nonetheless.

A great experience. First time with the Mrs. Offered specials for evening and items were explained in detail. Started with Caesar Salad, Prime Rib, Scallops, mashed potatoes, all were delicious and the staff could not be any nicer. Had requested window table, but we’re not able to be accommodated, but round corner cushioned table was nice. After dinner walked through bar to outside terrace for a nice evening view. A very nice evening with large portions but be aware of the prices associated with view. You will not be disappointed, no rush, staff checks on your needs throughout your dinner experience. Will come back again. As you know Turning Stone Casino offers fare for every budget throughout casino. Choices are good, but eating here at least once, away from the noise of the casino is a definite plus . Nan and Jeff

My husband and I visited TS Steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary. We were here a couple years ago for the same event and were looking forward to a second visit. We started with the wedge salad which was very good and then went on to our steak entrees. My husband had the 8oz filet and I have the Wagyu duo which is a 4 oz filet and 4 oz NY Strip with bone for bone marrow on the side. For sides we had creamed spinach and wild mushrooms. Both my steaks were very tender and very flavorful with NY Strip being the better of the two. My husband agreed and said that my filet did not taste much different from his although mine was supposed to be the American-raised Wagyu variety. I was disappointed in the bone marrow — I have only had it once before at the Tailor and the Cook and it was phenomenal. At TS, it was just ok and I ate only a couple bites. The roasted mushroom side was very tasty, the spinach just«ok» and nothing to write home about. We opted to share a chocolate/cheesecake combo slice of cake which turned out to be more like a quarter of a whole cake. So much that we took more than half home. Because we had so much, we did not look at the candy cart — I think next time I would skip the dessert and head for the cart instead. They have a beautiful bar area and a small(and cheaper) bar menu that we’ll try next time we visit for a more informal experience.

This little spot at Turning Stone casino/resort is all the way on the 21st floor & got it’s own elevator car to get you up there as well. Though I made a reservation at 6:30PM I wound up a little after 5PM& surprisingly got in(though my seat wasn’t a window seat I am not going to drop points for that so they got a pass). Apps are very much as you’d expect in a traditional steakhouse & they’re fresh & well up to par & the entrees are also up there. clearly these ones also do well with the staff who are friendly, well-dressed & very helpful & know the ins & outs of the menus & can assist if there’s decision issues. Also on there they got a cigar lounge too which is very up there & can hit the spot after a meal & with the cigars they sell they pair with drinks(of course that is if you wish).

I don’t even know where to start with this place… fantastic from start to finish. My husband and I went here the day before Valentine’s Day as we were staying in the tower for the weekend. The dinner rolls and mini loaves of cornbread they give you are served with regular butter and a sweet maple butter. Both are delicious. I started with the crab cake served over a pickled apple and fennel slaw. I never knew i was a fan of fennel before that night. Salty and vinegar-y slaw complimented the crispy sweet crab cake perfectly. I wanted to lick the poblano aioli off of the plate! My husband started with the shrimp cocktail – which we have had at a million other places. Trust me when i say you have NOT had shrimp cocktail like this. The shrimp were easily 6 inches long and very plump. Crisp, cold and sweet the way they should be! I then moved on to the prime rib for my entrée with a loaded twice baked potato. My husband had the bone in ribeye with buttered mashed potatoes. Both cuts of meat were slap yo mama good. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth tender. My baked potato was light and fluffy and topped with cheese, bacon and a little jalapeño. the mashed were creamy, buttery and smooth. Big portions. I had to box half of my prime rib and potato to make sure i had enough room for dessert. Oh my God, dessert. My husband had the banana cream pie. This gorgeous creamy pie topped with caramel sauce and chunks of banana arrived at the table and i ALMOST regretted getting the crème brûlée – that is until I tasted it. Topped with fresh blueberries and raspberries with homemade whipped cream– breaking the sugar shell, i found the custard to be thick, creamy and perfectly sweet. No tiny little ramekins served here, a nice healthy portion that satisfied that sweet craving. The only thing better than the food was the service. Absolutely top notch. Our server Herb was friendly and attentive but not over bearing or hovering. He explained our dishes and answered any questions we had. He made recommendations when we could not choose between the many options. He was sweet and funny and made us feel like we were regulars. Herb is an absolute delight and he made our visit even better. The bill arrived at the table and was just about $ 175.00 – worth every penny. The ONLY con that i can write down is the fact that i live an hour and 40 minutes from this restaurant. Doesnt matter – i’ll make the drive! Best meal i have had in a long time!!! It was so good that we wound up going back the very next night. We both had the dry aged strip and i didnt think it could get better than the meal i had the day before but once again, the food and service were both outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was amazing from the point that we set foot out of the elevator. We visited this place on a Friday night as soon as they opened at 5:00. The place is beautifully decorated with a high class feel. Walking around the establishment, they have the main dining room and a side dining room all with ceiling high windows and giant towering columns. They have a bar/lounge with a separate(cheaper) menu and classical live music in the background. They also have cigar rooms, one much nicer than the other with a chess set, telescope and fireplace. It’s one of those rooms you see in the movies where men are smoking, drinking scotch and discussing business or politics. The place alone was quite impressive. Now to the most important part: the food. It was outstanding. There were four of us total: my mother, my aunt and my grandfather. We came here using reward points and we had a hay day. We were served two kinds of bread to start with two kinds of butter. One was like a corn bread but it tasted exactly like turkey to all of us — strange. The other bread was a traditional roll you would get from a restaurant. The spicy maple butter was unique but not as good as the plain butter with bread. We began with a dozen Oysters on the Half-Shell which were sizable, tender and juicy. I love adding Tabasco and lemon juice. My mother ordered the Clam and Corn Chowder which was creamy and flavorful but she was disappointed by the size. At an establishment such as this, you want smaller portions. Enough to try but not get full. Her soup was an entire bowl which she had to stop eating towards the end to save room for the main course. I ordered the Squash Bisque with honeycomb and apple fritter, which was delicious and unique. There was a dollop of crème fraiche which gave a nice creamy texture to the soup. My biggest complaint of the evening would be this soup. The honeycomb infused in the soup was of a waxy consistency where as I ate the soup I got the pieces stuck in my teeth, so awkwardly and discretely I sat there trying to scrap wax out of my mouth. Not very pleasant. My aunt ordered the wedge salad which looked huge, but she ended up sharing it with my grandfather. It was the most delectable wedge salad she has ever had. We ordered two family size sides to share at the table: the Parmesan Truffle Fries and the Maple and Bacon Brussel Sprouts. The fries had such good flavor and crispness with the truffles and parmesan. With the Brussel sprouts I couldn’t really taste the bacon but the sweetness of the maple flavor really stood out. Both were well worth it, although we wished we ordered the single serving to share. For our main entrees my grandfather ordered the 12oz Dry Aged New York Strip medium-rare which had a peppery taste. He was only able to eat half of it. The rest of us ordered the 85 Day Dry Aged 24-ounce Rib-eye special which came with bone marrow, a head of garlic and sauce to the side. It was the best cut of meat I have ever tasted in my life. Perfectly cooked, juicy, tender and bursting with flavor in every bite. Maybe we didn’t know how to properly eat the bone marrow but we found it unenjoyable. It tasted like eating pure fat. We didn’t end up ordering dessert since we were so full but they looked quite good and huge! They also had a candy cart with many unique and plain options which also looked tasty. I don’t typically have a separate paragraph just on expense but I thought it necessary for this place. It is VERY expensive for the average person. Meals average $ 50 — $ 100 a person or possibly more depending on what you order. It was a little awkward when the waitress listed the specials for the night and we had to ask the cost of the 24oz Ribeye — but it was necessary because it was $ 80! The amount you got for the price was decent but I almost wanted less, such as with the soup. I would have been happy with a cup over a bowl where I ended up wasting some soup since I wanted to save room for my entrée. Also, what average person is going to eat an entire 24-ounce steak in one sitting? I have been able to eat my steak for three separate meals now. It also would have been nice to know the price of the candy cart, but at such an establishment you feel pathetic asking prices. The service was top-notch. You didn’t just pay for the food, but also the service. They were attentive, made no mistakes and were very pleasant and accommodating. After each course they would wipe off your table and they were constantly filling your water when it was half-glass. We were curious about the various steak sauces so our waitress was nice enough to give us a sample of each. We found that the Au Poivre was our favorite, although with the caliber of these steaks the sauce was unnecessary. Overall, the portions are almost too big and impossible to finish, but if you want an amazing steak, this is the place to go. I would come back here for a special occasion or if I was to win big at the casino.

We dined here over this past weekend to celebrate my best friends birthday. The service and food were higher than I expected and I would definitely recommend! First off, you go to the base of the tower at the casino and find a specially marked elevator in a dimly lit hallway. This takes you up to the 21st floor where the restaurant is perched. There’s two options upon exiting the elevator. Go right and you’re brought to a beautiful lounge and bar. Go left and you go into the restaurant where someone promptly greets you. From this main hostess area you can go left again where their beautiful! Bathrooms are located. Each stall has its Own private room and there’s plenty of mirrors, even a TV. My friends enjoyed chopped salads which they said were good. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and didn’t bat an eyelash when my boyfriend and I requested to share a porterhouse with some side dishes. Our steak was huge! And cooked PERFECT(we love medium rare). The French fries and asparagus sides were excellent and I loved that they bring all of their side sauces so you can try them with your steak. I ordered a special red onion Gorgonzola topping for our steak which was bursting with flavor and really complemented the steak well. We picked a Cabernet to go with the steak and really enjoyed that also. Their were two other people stopping at our table, one gentleman who filled our water and made sure the table was neat and clean and another gentleman who asked how our dinner was and offered to get us anything if we needed. I thought this was a nice touch and it made us feel appreciated without being overbearing. Overall, it was worth the cost for the experience and excellent food. I will definitely return in the future!

This is my 3rd time at the Steakhouse and it hasn’t disappointed yet. The view is lovely and the staff very attentive. I enjoyed the salt & pepper calamari as an appetizer. I could have ordered it as an app, an entrée and a dessert. It was HUGE. Much too much for just me. I also ordered one of the specials, a Kansas City ribeye served with bone marrow, roasted garlic and your choice of sauces. I also got a side of Utica greens. If you’re not familiar, it’s escarole sautéed with Parmesan, cherry peppers and some other goodies. Very good! Two things that keep this from being a 5star review: the breadcrumbs on top of the greens made it impossible to serve yourself(it comes as an a la carte side) without littering the table with crumbs. Second, my steak was cooked absolutely perfectly, but the chef was a bit heavy handed with the finishing salt. I LOVE salt, but this was too much for even me. Relatively easily fixed by scraping it off. All in all, a lovely meal. If you haven’t enjoyed TS Steakhouse, find a special occasion and go!

Wow. Let me tell you, dining at this place was an absolutely delightful occasion! I never would’ve expected to have such a wonderful experience in Verona New York(the middle of nowhere to me, a Southern California resident) our server John was outstanding. He let us do our thing,(me, my father and my sister) and wasn’t too intrusive. He checked up on us frequently and was very polite. I started out with the Native Corn Clam Chowder, and it came quick, hot, and delicious! My Dad ordered the crab cakes, and they were great. Then came my delicious 8 oz. Filet Mignon with a side of asparagus. It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever sank my teeth into. To top it off, after we finished, we ordered the chocolate banana cream pie. It was outstanding. The experience as a whole was terrific, especially following our less than average experience down at the«Emerald Restaurant» down at the first floor. The ambiance in here is perfect. Beautiful jazz music soothes the ear as you dine on the 21st floor of this casino resort. Our waiter John said his farewells and really made it personal, like he was our friend. That’s the kind of service I like to see in a place! I guess when you’re spending this kind of money though, it should be expected. Still, this place did not disappoint one bit! I’m really thrilled that my father treated me to such a nice dinner here. The Turning Stone Steakhouse earned every star I gave it in this review! Thanks for an outstanding meal, TS Steakhouse!

This is an update to the wonderful review we gave to this steakhouse a few months back: After an incredibly special night previously(feel free to read my last review here), our expectations were high. To put it simply, TS Steakhouse did not disappoint and they even managed to surprise us. We arrived about 15 minutes early with the plan to spend a few minutes in the bar and have a few cocktails. The bar was hopping! Not only that, but this was a high-class environment and a very sophisticated experience. Very comfortable and the live piano man was fun and not at all annoying as they sometimes can be. Just the right amount of everything. I was a little concerned about the noise in the bar for when we sat down to eat, but… We were seated in the main dining area near the windows, and I could not hear any of the fun or commotion of the bar. It was perfectly quiet and peaceful for a romantic dinner. Our waiter Jon was excellent, as he let us know he has spent most of his life doing this kind of work and it truly showed in his expertise and professionalism. Appretizers: Shrimp cocktail and French Onion Soup(the soup was a recommendation from our waiter and from a nice gentleman we met before we sat down) Shrimp cocktail was very good, and the soup was fantastic. The cheese specifically was spot on. Entrees: Filet Mignon and NY Strip Steak. Both excellent in their own way. I preferred the strip, but the filet was terrific. Sides: Mashed Potatoes(sound simply, right? ITWASAWAZING!!!) Jalapeño Creamed Corn(another waiter suggestions — WOW) Truffle Fries(my wife’s favorite — these were not too strong of a truffle flavor, which I prefer) Dessert: Cheesecake(Bigger than my head). They say it’s NY Cheesecake, but it seems like Italian. Still very good. The manager, Daniel Burchill, came to my table and checked on us. I happened to catch him later on that evening and he was very gracious to chat with me about the restaurant, the growth that Turning Stone is going through currently, and what other options we had for later that evening. There are really amazing new restaurants and venues at Turning Stone, and this is still, in my opinion, the only choice for top quality high-end dining. We cannot wait to return again. TS Steakhouse is one of my favorite places inside of one of my favorite places.

Located on the 21st floor of the tower it clearly is the most impressive dining & bar space currently on property. We arrived 30 minutes early were promptly greeted as we exited the elevator, coats taken and asked if we wanted to be seated or have a drink in the bar, we chose to relax first. The bar is beautiful, as is the view, service at the bar was not, it was 20 minutes from the time we sat down until we received or drinks. In addition our server refused to transfer our bar tab to the table bill.(I then learned this should have been an easy request) Very disappointing 1st impression. When we were seated at our table the service experience was amazing our server was very attentive and did not miss a beat. Wine selection is on par with what you would expect at a good steak house. We all ordered appetizers which were all rock solid. The spicy corn bread is a must try! For dinner Cowboy steak was my(and a friends) selection and at 46oz it could have fed another person, nice presentation and again solid taste.(be-sure to ask for all three sauces) Other members of our party had Scallops and Lamb Chops both were happy with their meals, but not blown away. In keeping with the try everything theme of the dinner we had desert and espressos. While the candy desert cart is fun… hands down do the chocolate cake. In summary it was what I would expect from a high end steak house,(selection & price). The only steak house in CNY that comes close is «Prime» located in Syracuse and the atmosphere is no where near as nice as at TS. The experience at the bar before dinner they needs to worked, it got us off wrong. If I was in the mood for Steak or a great view I’d come back. That said my dinning preference will remain Wildflowers a sister restaurants on property with a much more interesting menu. That said we should be happy that we have such a great dining options in CNY.

I came in here with a few colleagues after a busy day at our annual four-day conference at the Turning Stone Resort & Convention Center. We all wanted to scope out the new«TS Steakhouse» so we jumped into the tower elevator and hit the only button we could… «21.» Enter TS Steakhouse, located at the penthouse site of the former member’s only(AKA high roller’s) club, and open to the public as of Thursday 11⁄15. The steakhouse offers two intimate levels of dimly-lit seating, with an accompanying bar/lounge area and an outdoor balcony, with southern and western views. We decided to skip on the $ 75 surf & turn(WHOA!) and sat in the lounge area for a round of drinks. My Goose/Bombay Sapphire martini was mixed perfectly, and served in a pre-chilled glass — a nice touch. My colleagues ordered a Manhattan, and another martini. We enjoyed our drinks and some catching up on the day’s workshops. The silky smooth lounge setting surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows provided us an impressive view of the evening’s red sky. Based on the atmosphere alone, this place is definitely worth the pricey drinks and four-star rating, but I’d like to come back here and try one of their prized steaks. There must have been literally 40 staff members(all EXTREMELY friendly, courteous, and professional) stationed around various areas of the restaurant, but I’ll assume they’re high in numbers because they’ve just opened. – PS — After asking, I found out that the TS Steakhouse has replaced the now-closed«Forest Grill» steakhouse(located across from Peach Blossom), and that Forest Grill will be renovated into a dueling piano bar… I’m looking forward to coming back to see that transformation!
