Great food! Fresh and delicious. Only in town for work now and then but will definitely be back!

Disappointing… I placed a pick-up order at 6:45 on a Saturday night and they were out of several items. The jambalaya was good, nothing amazing. Hush puppies were also good, but after being told that the meat pies(which they were out of) weren’t made in house, I began to wonder what WAS made from scratch.

Popped in during a work trip in Oneonta craving something different and this cajun café fit the bill. I wanted a little of everything once I saw the menu. The closest I could get was the Southern combo, which I substituted the jambalaya with crab/shrimp gumbo. Good call in my opinion as this was the star of my platter. Rich, savory rice, hint of pepper, tender shrimp, scant on the crab, but I got a small order so I’ll blame it on the scooping skills. On the other hand, the coleslaw was one-noted, lacking any distinct sweet or sour when it should be both. The blacksheep of my dish was the very sad cajun mac n’ cheese. Whether Cajun because of the mayo«sauce» or because there’s bell peppers did not stop it from falling flat. Starting from a Kr*ft box of mac, all that needs to happen is spiking the cheese powder with a heavy hand of cajun spice mix and maybe some bits of crawfish and voila! Alas… my frown turned upside with a bite of my hushpuppy. Wish I saved my gumbo so I could mop it up with this one. There’s enough here that I would probably return expecting some mo’, until then, c’est tout.

I’m enjoying the jambalaya burrito as we speak, made with cheesy rotele. It’s fantastic and they grilled it before serving it so the tortilla has a nice texture. The sausage and chicken in it are delish! They don’t serve alcohol… it’s a small joint with some tables. The only thing I might improve is ambiance.

The food was perfect consistency: not too dry, not too soggy, just perfect fried goodness in a basket.

We spent a night in Oneonta after visiting Cooperstown. We decided to explore the little downtown area and consulted Unilocal to find dinner. We opted to try Boudreaux’s based on the reviews and were not disappointed. It’s a small place where you order at the counter and they deliver the food out to you. There is some seating outside on the sidewalk and more tables inside. Our sons opted for a kids meal — chicken tenders and fries — and a plain cheeseburger with fries. We were a little more adventurous and went with the Jambalaya and Catfish platter with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. My husband raved about the Jambalaya. The catfish was fantastic, my kids kept stealing pieces off my plate. The coleslaw and hush puppies were delicious and fries were good, too. I found myself wishing I could go back and try more items on the menu. Will definitely return if we’re ever in the area again.

I am definitely not a cajun food expert, but my lunch here was really good, and I was quite surprised to find something other than fast food to try just off I-88! I had the Cajun Combo, which came with jambalaya(really good in my opinion), Cajun mac & cheese(which reminded me of microwave mac & cheese but with added veggies — it was good), slaw(which I loved), and a hush puppy. Service was friendly and fast… My mom got oysters, shrimp, and catfish and she loved it all…

Amazing food! I haven’t met an item that wasn’t delicious or perfectly cooked. The owner takes serious pride in what he does, and the love shows! I eat here every time I come through Oneonta.

The shrimp here is seriously good. It was the first thing I ever got, and continues to be the only thing I get. I think I may be slightly addicted. They’re lightly breaded and cooked to perfection each time. My only negative is the hush puppies. I find them overly dense and dry. I’ve even tried them on multiple occasions, but could never get myself to finish two.

We are from New Orleans and usually don’t eat at «Cajun» restaurants while away from home. We decided to try this one since the reviews were so good. We were not disappointed. Everything was great. Catfish and shrimp poboys, blackened catfish, hush puppies and coleslaw. Fresh cut fries too. All yummy.

This place is great. I go to college in town, so this fine eatery is just a short bus ride away! they have a huge variety of wonderful cajun food. its all very zesty but if you do not like spicy food or for some reason cant eat it then they will accommodate you to the best of their abilities. reasonably priced and outstanding flavors. love, love, love!

The cajun mac & cheese dish is good(but it’s prepared far in advance, and sometimes tastes like microwaved food… but it’s still good). My fav here is the jambalaya! Make sure to try the cornbread and I hear if you’re lucky to be here on Saturday’s you gotto try the Beignets

Excellent food. Family owned and run. If you’re new to Cajun I recommend getting the southern combo. You’ll get a little bit of everything in it(corn bread, jambalaya, jazzed up Mac and Cheese, and cole slaw)

After visiting Boudreaux ‘N Thibodeaux’s a few more times, I feel compelled to increase my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. It is truly a jewel in the City of the Hills. The service continues to be extremely courteous and efficient. I tried the fried catfish po’boy sandwich the last time I dined here and it was extremely tasty. The catfish was tender and succulent. Staple sides such as the jambalaya are filling, not too spicy either.

Other than the fact that its impossible to get something heathy here, the burgers are amazing to say the least. The fries seem homemade with the skins still on them and are perfect with gravy. I will go again on my cheat day.

I’m not really a Cajun food person but I love burgers and this is THE place for burgers in Oneonta. Made to order right down to the last detail and they’re truly amazing. They come with fries that are equally delicious. Add to this a small but very clean dining area and outstanding customer service and you have a great little spot.

So I’m on vacation in upstate New York with the family, four of us in all, not counting the dog. We’ve begun to explore the local cuisine with much success but we felt like something different. Saw an ad for B ‘N T in one of the local tourist papers, figured it was worth a shot. Something for everyone. My son and I started off with the wings(6 for $ 4.99) with Cajun seasoning. The Cajun seasoning on the wing is a blend of butter with three different hot sauces. Excellent choice for an appetizer, just enough heat for me and not too hot. I followed it with a fried oyster seafood platter($ 11.49 for 6 pieces) with a side of hush puppies(the only way to compliment a southern meal). Cooked perfectly not too oily. My wife went for the Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya(16 oz. $ 6.99), true Cajun flavors and delicious. Ya’ gotta have Jambalya at a Cajun restaurant. My son went for the Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy. Big portion, very filling, probably too filling for his liking, the shrimp were cooked perfectly. O.k. so I’ve been bragging about the food here so far right? Now for just a little bit of balance. My daughter went for the Classic Burger platter. The hamburger was just o.k.(not bad). But then again if you’re heading out for Canjun you shouldn’t be looking at the hamburger on the menu, leave that for the kids. The seasoned French fries were very tasty. No room for dessert on this trip. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to go back while we were in the area. I would definitely recommend Boudreaux ‘N Thibodeaux’s if you are in the Oneonta area.
