I read the reviews, and still ate here. I really wanted to give the place a chance. Our normal take-out was closed, so we decided to try something new. Positives: Peanut sauce is yummy Staff seemed nice Spring rolls are great(expensive) Negatives: Fried Tofu has ZERO taste and is water logged when you bite it, and its gross After a few bites, everything pretty much tastes the same Given an EXTREMELY small amount of rice Not at all worth the price the noodles had some burning? Our meal was over $ 60 before a tip, and should have been $ 40. I will not say do not eat there, for the food wasn’t horrible, however we will not be eating there again. For that much money in Oneonta, I would expect a better meal. It would seem that others leaving reviews had complaints about the amount of rice that they were given as well, and this is a relatively small fix for the restaurant, if they wanted to correct this.

Used to be quite good a few years ago. Now it’s disappointing and the food bears little resemblance to delicious Thai food.

I think Simply Thai is the only thai place in town so there isn’t very much competition. Although, in the various«chinese» restaurants in town, they do have thai dishes on their menus. By far, Simply Thai, is actually a very good thai restaurant, and in Oneonta, it is probably the best Asian food that you are going to get. The food is spot on with the right flavors, they give good portions, and the presentation is nice. They have pretty good lunch deals. The service is also very prompt and friendly and the atmosphere is nice. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me.

Pad Thai was very bland. If youre new to thai dont go here. Itll ruin any expectation you have. The dumplings were odd and again lacked flavor.

Simply Thai huh? More like simply garbage. As I placed my order to a screaming voice questioning me over the phone, they messed up my order and I didn’t get the two soups I had asked for. But that was probably a good thing because the soup tasted like tap water with a couple of vegetables. The pad Thai was mediocre.

The food was really great and I loved that you can pick your level of spicy for any dish. The best thing was how quick the food cane out. The staff is always on top of everything. It’s a great option in an area that doesn’t offer much diversity.

Simply Great. Great Pad Thai. correctly prepared which is so nice after the crap they serve near Westhampton(prepackaged & dumped in a wok-I am pretty sure). Great soups and spicy noodle dish(big fat noodles can’t remember what it was). Massaman Curry also good. Went back since we were visiting ALl Star Village for baseball. Sad it is such a long drive for us!

All I can say is Unilocal yuck!!! This place is awful. The food tastes like dishwater. Owner constanty yelling at waitstaff. Place gives me the creeps. Portions are small and owner is cheap. Too bad this one had potential.

Decent Thai place for small town USA. Had the Pad Thai, Thai fried rice, fried dumplings, and Thai coffee. The dumplings was super fried. Maybe steamed would be better. Standard Pad Thai n fried rice were fine– nothing great but definitely acceptable. The place has nice decorations n is clean. Only two waiters so a bit wait. Had to ask for chop sticks. Overall not a bad place with average prices. Will come back n try the other food on menu like curry dishes the next time I’m in town.

DELICIOUS! Out here for, what else, but kids baseball at All Star Village & Unilocaled for local eats. Visiting from Cali, so Thai food is always our family go-to so we were excited to see a Thai restaurant in town. Unilocal reviews are pretty limited for any places around here, but thought we’d give this place a try with no high expectations… but to our surprise, the food, service & cleanliness was great! The dishes had good-sized portions and the prices were reasonable. The waitresses were very nice & made sure our waters were topped off. We ordered the Pad Thai w/Shrimp, Pad See Ew w/Shrimp, Yellow Chicken Curry & Thai Iced Tea. ALLYUMMMMM! GO!!!

A good Thai meal is always a treat and we thoroughly enjoyed the quaint Main Street vibe in this Upstate New York community. The interior was comfortable and inviting. The pace very relaxing. The food very good and pleasantly presented.

This is damn good Thai good. I am only giving it four stars because I have had better. Just not within several hundred miles. If you are craving Thai, this is definitely worth it!

My boyfriend and I frequent this place often for date night and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and the customer service is attentive and prompt. My favorites on the menu would be the shrimp satay, pad Thai and the red curry. Definitely a great authentic Thai place for a small town like Oneonta!

I eat here almost weekly and have had a good variety of menu items. The food is delicious and the servers are very attentive. The Thai Pad is my go-to dish, and it never disappoints, and the Green Curry is another favorite. I think any negative comments about the service are probably reflective of a customer who is determined to be a jerk to the waitstaff and then complain when they get a similar attitude in return. The servers here are exceptionally polite and keep a close eye on their tables — even when the restaurant is full.

Have now visited this establishment many times. The Pad See Ew is PHENOMENAL. Mango sticky rice is classic and try the Thai Iced Coffee for something different. This is an amazing restaurant that serves delicious food and consistent great service. They also have a lunch special during weekdays until 3PM that comes with a salad and thai iced tea for under 10 dollars. Favorite restaurant in Oneonta.

Been back a bunch of times. Good quality, fresh tasting, good sized portions. I’ve tried and enjoyed dishes from almost every section of the menu — fried rice(yay Pineapple Fried Rice!), stir fries, noodle dishes… All awesome. I often have leftovers and they taste great the next day.

We have eaten there multiple times and have had many of the selections. Each time the service was consistently good and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend Simply Thai.

great meal for our party of six… my chicken/peanut dish was perfection… interesting way to order how spicy you want yer food… onna scale from 0 – 5. My dish was @1 and it was just right for me… little bit of a kick… but, not sooo much that I would start sweating bullets and not taste anything for the next 2 days… You can always make it spicier if you want… but, not the other way around. Thai iced tea… good choice, too… we were too full for desert, but… it all looked good… all reasonably priced… and good service, too…
