Very nice place even if its in a strip mall. Small but cozy. Had delicious chicken marsala and mixed salad with some different veggies than the typical house salad. Portions are huge and prices reasonable. Also had a great bottle of wine. All five people at our table loved their meals from salmon to chicken and eggplant parm.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and wonderful food. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is very clean and modern with a warm feel. Wine is excellent and affordable. Food is fantastic, the bread and oil they serve is just amazing!!! Highly recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner out!

Preeeeemooo! Best food, service, and atmosphere around hands down. Chris was one of the best servers I’ve ever had and I worked in the service industry for over 10 years.

Average food. This restaurant came recommended over other Italian restaurants in the area. Tables were so poorly arranged that no room was left for wait staff to get around causing a constant bumping into 2 of 4 of us the entire dining experience. Tables that sat after us had drinks prior to our waiter even showing up. We were never notified of specials. Appetizers came before drink and were simply ‘dropped’ at the table — 2 of the 3 appetizers ended up in front of the wrong diner(these are things fellow restaurant workers loath). After asking for a manager, the waiter who ‘dropped’ the appetizer declared that he was the front end manager and that he would take over our service. Service improved but sadly entrees were just average. Bottom line, It’s not a repeat.

We had a really nice dinner here. Our server, Ric, was very engaging and took good care of our table. We especially liked the potstickers, calamari, escargot and veal. You can also bring in your own wine, and they did not charge corkage as we made a reservation in advance. A nice place to have dinner in Oneonta.

I moved up to this area from NYC and Fairfield Ct. I’ve been fortunate enough to have dined at some of the best restaurants on the country. I never expected to find anything close to that experience in Oneonta, but Toscana does come very close. I went there recently with my husband, son and his wife for her birthday We each had a different entrée. Rack of Lamb, Sea Bass, Shrimp with angel hair, Escargot, and a decadent chocolate desert were served and all were voted outstanding. I don’t do pasta or carbs but I can report that their veggies are also fresh and delicious. My DIL is a trained Chef and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal and dessert. The waiter was pleasant and very well trained. It was a very pleasant surprise and we will definitely return. Toscana is MY go to restaurant!!!

Hands down, the best Italian food in Oneonta and one of the top 3 restaurants in town. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the ambiance(despite the somewhat off-putting location) are all fantastic. This is the place we bring out of town guests to impress.

Disappointed all around. Spent lots of money on a dinner and was not impressed. The chicken dish tasted like dishwater mixed with some grease. Hubby loved his. My complaint here is that really 26 dollars for 2 small scallops and 2 overdone shrimp. Service was not good as there was not enough help. We both felt sick later. Sad as we loved this place times before.

All I can say is do not order anything with eggplant. Our table had 2 different eggplant orders, both were over cooked and served with the same sauce that was watery. was looking forward to this place bc of all the 5 star reviews, sadly it did not live up.

It really is as good as these 5-star reviews say. Moved daughter into SUNY Oneonta and came here for dinner based on the good reviews. Don’t let the plaza it’s in deter you. It’s very nice inside and service and food were great. Waitress, Taylor, was really nice and helpful. Never once did we have to ask for anything. We ordered calamari and a special app of sweet potato fritters with shrimp in a good light sauce. I had eggplant parm with a side of pasta and an extra side of sautéed broccoli. Both daughters had chicken parm. My wife had chicken Francais. All were excellent and we all loved the sides of pasta: large portions, had your choice of 4 different kinds, and the vodka sauce was awesome. Desserts we had included tiramisu, cannolis, and chocolate mousse. Everyone liked theirs and we took home leftovers including some of the desserts. Good portion sizes and fair prices. Also specials included duck and rack of lamb but we decided to stay with traditional entrees we saw on menu before going.(Specials were read off a sheet without prices; should list or tell prices.) Will definitely be back.

Last night 6−3−14 me and my girlfriend had a reservation after seeing the menu and speaking with the one chef earlier that day. i had the classic bolognese which was delicious! For my first meal there it was easy 5 star. absolutley girlfriend got the seafood crêpe romana which she said was delicious and loved the meal. the waiter was very knowledgeable in all the meals very attentive to our needs. the fresh bread and olive oil blue cheese dip was so good. we had the fried calamari which was perfect with that tomato sauce dip this place easily became our favorite Italian restaurant in Oneonta. we are very much looking forward to going back. This place is a must try!

Excellent Italian resturant in Oneonta probably second best to Bella Michaels. Staff is incredibly friendly and experienced. But the best thing about Toscana is definitely the best thing about it. Penne alle Vodka was delicious, chicken parm and chicken marsala are also supreme. Food comes out quick with unlimited bread for appetizer with a delicious olive oil feta cheese dip. Don’t be fooled by the strange location of this classy Italian place, if you like Italian food it is a must try.

This is a new restaurant in Oneonta, but there is a sister Toscana in Cooperstown. We made a reservation for our family of four on a Sunday evening for 6pm. When we arrived our table was ready for us. The food is Northern Italian and there is a large daily menu. We each found something to eat. My wife and I had the Seafood Crêpe and both loved it. My son said his calamari was the best he ever had. My daughter enjoyed the homemade mac n cheese. The service was delightful and quick. The price was on the high end but worth it. When we were leaving the place was full. If you want to enjoy this new restaurant you will want to make a reservation. The ambiance is suited to a romantic meal. Enjoy!
