There are several gas-station/convenience-stores in Ontario, and there are 2 that I prefer to use whenever possible. This is one of them. It’s very clean, staff are professional, there’s a full car-wash /vacuum /air station, they fill propane tanks, and there’s an ice-cream shop inside, too(Baskin-Robbins). The bathrooms are clean. There’s also a drive-up window on the side if you’re just cruising by to pick up a drink or snack. Service is polite and usually fast.

I actually owe a large debt of gratitude to the owner of this place. Ten years ago I applied for a job there, and during the interview he asked me if I really wanted the job, or if I had merely applied to satisfy a requirement of the public assistance he assumed I was receiving. I was astounded that this bourgeois asshole would ask such a question, but it lit a fire in me and I went to college and earned a Masters degree. If he hasn’t been such a jerk to me that early morning I might very well still be cashiering and pumping gas. It is not often that a visit to a gas station changes a life so profoundly, and I regret that I have but five stars to give.

Here’s a common gas stop for me on my drives to Boise. They offer a better than average gas station experience and have very friendly employees. If you have a choice on the way to Boise, stop here for gas.
