Just invite past month or so, the service in Penfield (White Village area) has gone downbhill. They dont empty the containers all the way and literally throw the recycle bins and totes at your driveway letting the leftover trash scatter all over the neighborhood. It may be time to switch to Waste Management. A bit more money, but they at least do a desent job.

I did some garbage companies research, and I found Lilac. I called them and they treated me really good. They offered me the best price around. I like the fact that they’re local. Pretty good service so far. Whenever I call they answer the phone right away and work the issue really fast.

Not impressed. I’ve also noticed questionable behavior regarding recycling. I have caught them putting recycling in the garbage truck on multiple occasions. If the recycling totes are actually taken by the recycling truck, there’s always a few items left in the tote. How hard is it to empty a small hand-​held tote before tossing it back on my lawn with recycling still inside?
Don’t bother trying to recycle cardboard, they usually don’t pick it up (and don’t call to explain why), even though it’s cut down to much smaller pieces and quantities than the contract specifies. That’s frustrating enough, but what’s worse to me is taking the time to break it down then catching the garbage truck taking my cardboard after I call to complain that recycling didn’t take it. Instead of having recycling come back (I call as soon as I catch them leaving without it), they just tell the garbage truck coming in behind it to get it.
When I call to complain they state it’s because «it won’t fit in the hole for the recycling truck». Why specify an acceptable size for cardboard if you still won’t take my pieces that are over a foot smaller than the allowed size? I’m talking about 10 – 15 flat pieces of cardboard measuring 1.5 by 2ft, not a huge pile.
Forget trying to get rid of rolled up carpet (that is tied) without having them trying to nickel and dime you for $ 25 surcharge. They’ll call for that, but not for recycling.
I normally like to support the local businesses, but their competitor with the green totes is who most of my neighbors use. I won’t make the same mistake next year.

Poor customer service! Don’t bother trying to contact anyone, they don’t call back. Complaints are met with excuses. Trash pickup is undependable. They leave the containers right in the middle of the driveway! We are allowed one small item to the side but they never take that bag. Broken glass dumped near the mailbox and that appeared intentional. They act like they’re doing you a favor instead of providing a paid service. Contract elsewhere! Bad.
