I do not see the value of these flashlights. This is my 4th one that I cannot get the batteries out of the cylinder when they die. I have tossed 3 small ones but this is large one. Just called cust service and here is what they said: «Ya, we have had that problem with these. If you want to you can send it back and we will try to get them out. If we can’t — we will sell you another one at a discount». Seriously??? They know this happens and it’s OK? I guess that is how they stay in business. I have had cheap flashlights form China with no problems. I guess this is why USA is no longer a world leader in goods. I like to buy US made, but this is absurd. The C. S, guy did not seem to see the irony of this. Maybe it is people like him who are making them? STUPIDSTUPIDSTUPID. They deserve NO stars.

Used this company for many years the service I got from Elena I might as well have not even bothered to call. She basically was like«don’t bother me.» Asked for a supervisor spoke to Carolyn who just wanted me to pay for parts shipping etc. After the experience she should have sent me not one but two flashlights and a bigger apology. BYEMAGLIGHTHELLOSTREAMLIGHT you lost this longtime customer.

I called the Mag Instrument«warranty department» twice on two separate occasions regarding two MagLight flashlights I purchased that were not working(a mini MagLight and much larger MagLight 2D). I informed the customer representative that the bulb likely works, and that there was no indication of any damage from battery corrosion. With that, and free of charge, the company sent me replacement parts(the«switch») and a tiny tool, with simple instructions on how to fix the problem(both flashlights were presumed to have broken«switches»). I received the replacement parts in less than 2 weeks. I replaced the switches fairly quickly(as a first-timer, it took me less than 15 mins total), and low and behold, both of my broken flashlights were working again. Based on my experience, Mag Instrument receives 5 stars for being an amazing company with prompt customer care. I’ll definitely purchase additional flashlights from this company in the future. Great company. I sent in an old flashlight that I had purchased in the 80’s it had stopped working, they repaired it under the lifetime warranty. Their flashlights are great also, have several large and small ones.
