I was very excited to try this place and was extremely disappointed. The place is too quiet and the atmosphere is just blah. I just can’t figure out what they were going for here. They offered four different BBQ sauces and couldn’t find one I could stomach — I went with the least offensive version and it still managed to ruin my pulled chicken sandwich. Hushpuppies were the worst I have ever had, hands down. Mac and cheese was decent. Green beans weren’t very good and the cole slaw was bad too. Sorry for the lame review… I just don’t feel like devoting much energy to this review. I agree with the other Unilocaler — this place will be gone quickly: by years end it will be gone or will be on life support. Not even mediocre.

This place won’t last long.
1) They just opened and it already seemed dirty inside.
2) It was early on Friday night and they had no chicken left. Isn’t this a bbq?
3) There was a line out the door to order and one cashier. Meanwhile three un-enthused teen servers were bussing tables in between dragging their feet to and from the back of the kitchen. The manager seemed unsure what to do. Um, open a register? Clean tables? Refill the iced tea?
4) My mashed potatoes were gray. And tasteless. Ditto for the mac and cheese. My bbq pork seems to be mostly fat and burnt crust then actual meat. Brisket was ok and baked beans were the best item we had.
Overall, not willing to try them again. And this area desperately needs some new restaurants.
