Its been awhile since I last visit but Armando and Retro Vault deserve 5 stars. Retro has a large collection of games and systems to choose from and can repair your old systems as well. Armando, the owner, is always polite, friendly, and knowledgable which is polar opposites to other traders I’ve visited hunting for games. He offers great deals and his prices are very competitive compared to other traders. If you are in So Cal and need a retro fix, don’t bother going anywhere else.

The owner is very well educated in his craft and has a really good grasp on game history. He also gives very reasonable trades for your items. He doesnt push or pressure on anything. Very friendly demeanor i would definitely keep going here.

Really cool spot for vintage games and gaming product repairs. Helpful staff and great selection for games and systems. Had a blast at those outdoor video game sales and trade event. The live music and sound by Rad Pro Studios made the outdoor event experience even better, I would totally come just for the music, talented people for sure. I dig this spot!

I love coming over to this place. The owner, Armando, is very nice and always has a helping hand ready for anyone that walks in his store. We were able to get a few games and consoles for really inexpensive/comparable prices.

I never have had such a great experience with a retro gaming store in my life. A lot of these video game stores have«snarky» people who are trying to take advantage of unwitting gamers. Armando has always been one of the most knowledgeable and polite people I have met in gaming. I am an avid retro gamer and know all stores in the area, but my experiences at Pixel Vault Keep making me come back. They know me by name and the kinds of things I am looking for. I would say the store is small but if you follow him on IG you can always seen new inventory and always make sure they give you a decent price. The more you come the more they treat you like a friend. I buy nearly all my Genesis, NES, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy and Xbox 360 games there. Also, many of the store’s customers are quite knowledgable and are willing to give a helping hand such as myself. So, GOHERE!

Recently moved to Ontario about a year ago and I found this place via Instagram. Bought a few PS1 and PS2 games during my multiple visits. Each time the owner Jose was friendly and very helpful. All the games were fairly priced. If you buy multiple items Jose is always giving you a deal for shopping with him, at least that’s my experience. The visit that pushed me to wite my first review was my Playstation slim was giving me a disc read error. I took it to Jose and he said it was the laser. He suggested I replace the laser and that should do the trick. He didn’t have the part but said I could get it on Ebay for $ 10. He said once I got the part to bring it in with my Playstation and he would switch them out. What I thought was a honorable characteristic was that he didn’t try to take advantage and upsell me a new refurbished console. He knew what the problem was and told me how to fix it. I did as he suggested and Jose switched out the lenses in less than 2 minutes. To add to his amazing service, he didn’t even charge me for switching the lasers out. I am now a customer for life. I will spend my money here first before I do at any other shop, because owners like Jose need to stay around.

Hidden gem ! Loved this place. Went after reading the reviews and I can see why everyone comes here. We were running late and they were getting ready to close. The owner opened his doors for us and helped us pick games. We purchased two systems and got a lot of games. He was nice enough to give us a discount. He was honest and extremely helpful. Will definitely be coming back for more games. This place knows there stuff !

Love this place! If you’re in or around the area, you should definitely check Pixel Vault out. Great service, terrific prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. While it’s true that the selection isn’t as large as some other places, the games are all in great condition and the consoles are clean. Plus, there are one of a kind custom consoles & art pieces you can’t get anywhere else. (And if you enjoy the store, you might like PixelVision, Armando’s review show with Carlos De La Torre, the Super Retro Mexican! )

I have been around retro gaming for the last 20+ years, and have been at many shops. I was recommended to pixel vault games over on r/gamecollecting and I am glad to have stopped in. The first time in the shop I ran in for a copy of Super Mario All Stars for the Super NES. Not only did Armando(the owner) have it in stock, but it was priced fairly, and was in great condition. I came in several times afterwards, and was very happy with the customer service of both Armando, but his other employees in the store. I will be a customer for a long time! Selection 8⁄10 Pixel Vault is a store with a relatively small stock of games(compared to other retro stores), but his selection is quality. All the NES/SNES/Genesis favorites are there, and in great condition. He is really good about helping get other games you might want in, and willing to help direct you to other locations that might have the games. In terms of consoles and equipment, he has a wide selection of hardware, both refurbished and complete in box items. I always find something to take home when I go to Pixel Vault Games. Atmosphere, Layout, Location 7⁄10 Parking at his location is not great. There are no real parking spots in front of the store, but if you drive across the street there are parking spots. This is not really a turn off, but be aware that you will have to walk a little at times. The store is quite small, and there are things everywhere, not messy, but packed. I really like the retro items in the store, from the arcade machine, to the mega man display, to the in box NES games on the wall. Even with the small layout, you can easily find all the major game types. Customer Service 10⁄10 No one is better for customer service. In retro gaming you don’t want someone hovering over you as you browse, but when you have a question, having someone there is important. Armando knows his stuff, and can help you pick a game you will like, or answer questions you might have. He also accepts paypal, and other payment methods for those who have online businesses or want alternate ways to pay. Overall 9⁄10 Pixel Vault is your hometown retro game shop that excels at what local businesses should be — great customer service, selection, and personal service. I will be a customer for a long time… I have had nothing but awesome experiences in his shop.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been a gamer for a long time and it’s tough finding old retro games because they don’t make them anymore. Pixel Vault Games has everything you need under one roof. I was very impressed with their selection as well as the friendliness, fairness and professionalism of Armando, the owner who I got to talk to for a while. Great guy, great business.

The owner has such good customer service, I plan on visiting this store anytime I travel to California. I went in for one thing and left feeling like I got a great deal on it all. This guy knows how to turn first time customers into repeat ones. Keep up the good work!

I’m pretty sure they moved to a larger location since their first store is tiny to what they had inside. I came here to look for pokemon games for my ds but they didn’t have any in stock and then I saw that they had some gba sp for sale. I bought a gba sp 101 model for $ 55 and bought a $ 20 Pokemon blue along with it. The guy was pretty nice and knowledgeable and was willing to answer any questions I had. The guy also does mods for consoles as well. Tiny parking and they take card.

I can not express how great this place. I wish more video game stores like this existed this instead of rip off GameStops. Armando was extremely helpful and obviously has a passion for what he does. He knows anything you want to learn about. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and awesome customer service. If you ever get a chance go to this store! Especially if you’re a gamer who appreciates all the great old consoles and games. In fact go there now! Do it! Just do it! You won’t regret it :)

Great stuff. Great service. Got what you need. And can fix what you got. Love it! I have bought games and systems from there. They even fixed 2 of my systems. I always see new people going in there. Even if I’m just driving by.

Easily one of my favorite game stores in the area. The guy who runs the place is down to earth and an enthusiast of gaming himself… not just your everyday reseller trying to make a buck. To me, he’s not just a shop owner… he’s a pal! Great prices, great selection and his trade in values are fair. Plus he does repairs and custom painted game consoles and other gaming related art. It’s totally awesome!!! If your in the area, check this place out. You won’t regret it!

Pixel Vault Games is a great privately owned shop with an owner that has a great appreciation for the hobby, and as an enthusiast himself, knows the kind of quality inventory to keep in stock They have games and consoles consisting of pretty much every home platform ever made, even Turbo Grafx and Sega Master! Great selection of complete and loose games, especially in the Nintendo section, along with retro magazines, strategy guides, and other unique collectible items. Boxed and complete Zeldas!!- Enough said! Pricing is very fair and competitive to online pricing, so I’m always more than happy to help with local businesses and give Pixel Vault my support Jose is a great owner, always open to start a conversation with, and regularly posts new inventory online and on his social channels– so if you are a current or retro game collector, check this place out!
