Superior Grocers

Have to give arrest rating for the folks in the bakery/​deli. So helpful and friendly. They have great food and love the lemonade and green drink quite refreshing.

I had a long time i hadnt came to this superior store. i used to do my shopping here EXCEPT for the meat. i remember buying shrimp and when i came home and opened thr bag the smell was just too disgusting! It smelled like spoiled seafood. no where near fresh! I didnt even bother to peel them i just put them back in the bag and threw them to the trash. i never thought of trying their meat because just walking by the meat department made me sick!! not only that but seeing tons of flies around the meat was just too nasty! not to mention the way the meat smelled! Long story short. i decide to go thinking maybe they have changed the way they handle meat. i should have known better! I get al pastor meat for tacos and when i get home and start cooking it i discover a BIG DEAD FAT FLY in the meat! I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES! I thought i was seeing things. so i pulled it out of the pot. and yup sure enough a big fat fly in my meat! incredible! I knew the meat quality there was bad but i never imagined that! I just dont want to imagine what else is in that meat! I AM JUST GLAD I NEVER ATE MEAT FROM THEM! AND THE TWO TIMES I ACTUALLY BOUGH5 MEAT IT WENT TO THE TRASH! BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE PLACE! JUST MAKES ME WONDER HOW THEY HANDLE EVERYTHING ELSE. dont get me wrong everything else seems ok but DEFINATELY SKIP THE MEAT THERE! THEY WILL NEVER SEE ME THERE AGAIN!

This is very hard for me because everything I bought in Superior was good and cheap, except for the meat. I should have read the reviews for Superior Grocers and the Superior Super Warehouse in Ontario before shopping here. I bought three pounds of chicken breast. When I removed it from the packaging I immediately noticed the meat was slimy and sticky, indicating that it had gone bad. It smelled not so fresh as well. Against my better judgement, I decided to cook some anyway. BIG MISTAKE. I had the worst stomach pain, so bad that I had to lie down. Afterwards some horrific diarrhea. Why do they do this?! I don’t know if the meat was expired, not refrigerated properly, who the hell knows. This is hazardous and beyond unacceptable. Very disappointed because after seeing my $ 90 receipt and being pleasantly surprised at how cheap everything was compared to Albertsons or Vons, I thought I had found a new local supermarket to buy all my groceries. After this terrible experience, I won’t be returning here again. Although they are cheap, if they can’t handle their meat properly, who knows how poorly they handle their produce and the rest of the food they sell. This is unacceptable. I urge you not to go here, or at the very least, DO NOT BUY ANY MEAT! Please read the reviews posted. I am not the only one who bought rotten meat from here.

I haven’t been here in a WHILE and I mean in years… Last I remember we stopped shopping here because it was dirty and it smelled. I decided to drop by the other day, on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised. Much cleaner, good selection of clean produce, I even saw the words «organic» being thrown around. We usually go to Super King in Claremont but being in Ontario, this is closer. BIG kudos for getting cleaned up.

Five stars simply because of the music they play on the speakers! Dang it’s so good!!! I want to dance in the aisles with my shopping cart!

I will say Superior is my go to market for food but this issue is becoming a bit more then irritating. once again I received «bad» meat! I purchased pork from the service counter (Sunday) put it in my crock pot today (Tuesday) for dinner and wow the smell was less then fresh! I hate to drive out of my way but seeing that this is a reoccurring issue I may have to just find another market that has a better sense of quality meat– disappointed!

Worst costumer service! The cashier chewing gum and roll her eyes and let me know i can’t pay separate payment on 10 item. Good produce thou but please try to keep the clientele

Quick stop for a few last minute dinner items. Came here specifically for Latin produce. The chile rellenos at this location seem up to par for my chile relleno casserole!

Danielle is one of the only good and sweet employees there, never been treated better.
