Roselli’s is just 5 minutes from my house, so it’s really convenient to pick up something on my way home. I regularly pick up pizza or a calzone. They’ve recently added online ordering which works very well. They also have a drive-up window to make picking up your order quick and easy. The choice of toppings is quite large. The food is much better than anything you can get at the chain pizza restaurants. The price is higher, but definitely worth it.

Rosselli’s is a neat little neighborhood pizzeria out where East Brainerd Road meets Ooltewah-Ringgold Road. It’s a mile north of the Georgia border, and they always have some nice Ringgold High kids working there to go with kids from East Hamilton High and Ooltewah High. I spoke with the owner and asked him how he manages to get such good high school-aged employees. He said when he interviews them, he looks to see their grades. He asks them about extra-curricular activities. Etc. He manages to hire good kids consistently. He said, «I don’t hire ‘pizza dudes.’ ” I assumed that to mean older male pizza bakers with facial hair and knit hats who look like hippies. He said, «Yes, that’s exactly what I mean.» Just a simple space of probably 1500 sf painted red with pictures of family members. A few years ago, they used to let customers write on the walls with a Sharpie, but they stopped that. Guessing the place seats 30 people. The crust does not have the characteristics of the crust at Portobello, NY Pizza or even Lupi’s. But it’s pretty good. I do NOT like the edge of the pizza, how it is formed. A lot of wasted dough that is good for nothing. The sauce here, also, is just pretty good. A little too sweet and acidic for me. Cheese also, is just OK. Not like the cheese at Portobello, which is the best cheese I’ve had on a pizza in town. Rosselli’s has hoagies, calzones, salads, too, along with their good pizza. It’s just a very pleasant place to eat, in an area with not many choices, run by some great kids.

Kinda slow, best to call ahead. Didn’t like bbq chicken pizza. Other pizzas are GREAT. Homemade crust. Very good salads too, tried Greek and buffalo chicken.

Pizza is pretty good although the small BBQ Chicken Pizza we had was way overpriced at $ 16.50. The sauce is way too sweet but other than that it’s a decent pizza. It should be a decent $ 12.00 pizza. Will probably not order from Rosselli’s again.

(Actual visit November 2011) I’ve seen Rosselli’s driving by and always wanted to check it out. So we did and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is pleasant, neighborhood place, with lots of local high school supporting stuff. We ordered cheese bread which is basically their pizza dough with cheese and spices. This was delicious and I could have eaten a couple of them. We ordered pepperoni and mushroom which was very good and the ingredients were fresh as was the dough. This was a thin crust but not like cracker crust but thinner than say Papa Johns. Service was great and value for the money was right on. Take some time to check it out.

My dad and I haven’t been here before, and we decided to try it out. It has a comfortable but small seating area and when we came in, we were told that we could grab a menu and order at the counter when we’re ready. The food was very good. We tried their anti-pasto, which had salami, provolone, hot cherry peppers(optional, and not common to find in the south), olives, and other veggies with a vinegrette dressing. The pizza was new york style thincrust, and they make and toss their own dough. It was a very pleasant pizza dining experience.

Stopped by to order two sandwiches for later and had a pizza slice while I waited. Was in a bit of a hurry and mentioned this to the young lady that took my order. Pizza was good. I waited and waited for sandwitch order. Finally, the girl came over and said, «your order has been ready for 15 minutes». What! You didn’t think to let me know? Irritating. But its hard to be perfect all the time. Got sandwiches out for dinner later(meatball and italian sub) and they were all wrong. Meatball sub was very light on meat and was topped with all the vegetables that were supposed to be on my sub! I really like to support local business, but this is why people go corporate. Life is too short to deal with this. Food, pretty good. Service, terrible.
